@bb3vj3n, your customer sounds terrible!!! I'm actually dreading people asking how far along I am. I'm starting this pregnancy overweight and I'm sure I'll get a lot of "wow you look way bigger" comments. I've already just started telling people I'm due "in March" and not specifying that I'm due at the very end. They can assume it's the beginning of the month if it makes them feel better about my size.
After dinner I fed our dog some leftovers off the kids plates and went to do the dishes. All of the sudden my one year old walks in with one of the plates and tries to put it in the dishwasher. Then he goes back to the dining room and gets another plate and tries to put it in the dishwasher. We were all shocked. Apparently, after the third child they start training themselves. I also got to laugh with my teenager that his littlest brother is already better at the dishes than him.
My grocery trips are starting to get weird. Chocolate milk (I hate milk? Also I'm mildly lactose intolerant? Drinking it anyway), and a huge pack of banana ice pops. DW's going to have to start supervising these trips xD
@calecorvus mine too! I used to meal plan more but now I just can't. I got a ton of groceries yesterday and nothing goes together. Chocolate covered pretzels, bologna, olives... weird stuff.
@calecorvus I buy Promise Land Midnight Chocolate milk made from Jersey cows. My kids love it. It's very rich, but from what I read Jersey Cow milk is somewhat tolerable for those with lactose intolerance. It has something to do with the type of protein they produce vs Holstein cows. If you live near a Costco they carry the chocolate milk in a two pack that saves money. I craved chocolate milk with my last pregnancy and this product would have been glorious had I known about it.

Um, I would totally feed my kids that combo for lunch. One meal down in my book! They would also probably praise me instead of the typically "yuck, I am not eating!" I've been getting recently.
I've had my second dream now that this baby is a boy. I'm obsessing over old wives tales and skull theory. Our anatomy scan on Nov. 2 cannot come soon enough. Now that we've officially decided to find out, I am sooooo unbelievably excited.
Still trying to concince DH that it's a bad idea to keep the news to ourselves. He's so secretive and I'm a "wear my heart on my sleeve" type of person!
@bb3vj3n People make the dumbest comments to pregnant women. You would THINK that women who have children would not be included in that but they can say the worst. Good job not punching her. I might have.
Two days ago I caved and ate two or three ham sandwiches. Lunch meat is one of the few foods I try to avoid but the craving was STRONG. Yesterday I ended up with a gross stomach bug. I'm done with lunch meat again.
This was a really good read this morning no matter how many babies you have, but especially if you are a first time mom who is feeling like you need to know it all to be prepared for March.
@mdfarmchick that was perfect. I needed that so much. the line about catching the sound of little feet running down the hallway in a bottle had me tear up as I realized how much I'm looking forward to that sound.
@mdfarmchick making tears come out of my face on my lunch break. I didn't know I needed to read this. When I say "I'm scared," sometimes I don't feel like people understand the gravity of what is on my shoulders. This makes me feel like everything is going to be okay. Thank you.
@calecorvus I could have written your post! Have you heard of Ripple? It's amazing. Pea protein chocolate milk...Sounds terrible but it's such a nice treat with none of the dairy intestinal mess.
I don't think I've shared this yet but apologies if I have. I THINK Ive finally felt baby kick! I was beginning to get so worried about it and all of a sudden yesterday I felt these little jabs. Happy day
I just sent a really nasty email to the painting company who painted some of the interior rooms of our house. This is completely unlike me, but it felt so wonderful. It's a long story, but basically it took him 4.5 weeks to paint 4 rooms (he just finished over the weekend finally), he was non-communicative the entire time, and then I got an email with our invoice from the office manager (this is the first invoice we've seen, but it was dated 9/13 - BEFORE the work was complete), and she was asking when they could expect payment because the painter "hadn't been able to collect it from us." Ummm he never asked, and I didn't feel it was my job as the customer to reach out about payment. I did not appreciate her implying we'd been skipping out on paying for weeks. Don't mess with this angry pregnant lady apparently!

Yay! So exciting!

@stlbuckeye132 good for you!!!! That's ridiculous: and ps my window guy called and is coming tomorrow.
I am so sick of tomatoes. My mom dropped four 5-gallon buckets of them off yesterday morning and I feel like I have done nothing but peel, cut, can, and boil ever since. It will be great to have but I already did 20 quarts before and this adds another 43.
@megpeg That sounds like soooo much work. Hopefully it will be worth it in the dead of winter though. Do you just can the tomatoes "plain" or do you make sauce and/or salsa too?

@megpeg thanks! It felt good to get all our frustrations off my chest. I should have clarified that it was a nasty email for me, but I was still very polite haha I just wanted her to know how frustrating our experience was and that I did not appreciate being accused of avoiding payment. (I haven't received a response from her, and I don't expect one based on the lack of communication we've had this whole time.) I really hope your window installation goes smoothly for you from here on out!
@becausescience these are just plain I did 30 pints of salsa last weekend. I also roasted a ton of grape tomatoes with garlic to freeze to use in sauce. I canned a ton this year in case I don't have time next year.
@bb3vj3n I had almost the same conversation with a lady who approached me at the grocery store! And she really wouldn’t back down, that maybe I misunderstood my doctor about the due date or the NUMBER OF BABIES in there. What could make you tell a stranger in public repeatedly that she looks fatter than she should?
I made a bad decision tonight. I have been taking care of my sick little girl the past couple days so when my sister in law asked me if I wanted to go to a movie tonight I said yes. I was so ready to get out of the house for a bit! Aand here Is the bad decision part: I bought popcorn (so good) and a very large Dr Pepper (also so good). Now it is 2 AM and I am wide awake . I already nearly pulled an all nighter two night ago when DD first came down with fever and now it's starting to look like another long night. And I need to actually go to work tomorrow.
@triplejplus1 I really hope you got to sleep, but I feel you. One of my dogs has been licking his paws all night (skin allergies, blah) and it's is driving me insane. I am going to be a zombie in the morning.
Edited because it's 0410 in the morning and spelling is hard
@triplejplus1 LOVE the popcorn choice and hope the Dr. P doesn't wear on you all day! Sending you well rested thoughts!
@cford08 My dog's licking drives me up. the. wall. When she gets a skin issue, DH has been taking her and sleeping downstairs so I can get some sleep. We just had to do a round of meds for her to kick the skin issue, too. I hope your pup starts to quiet down and rest!
@leilaquinn people suck - basically. not all people, not even most people, not those few really know how to flame the fire. I hope you put her in her place...i was at work at the time abbr this particular lady was a customer - so I couldn't really say anything but i like to imagine that I would have said something different had she not been!
@cford08@LiveNLove44 I cannot stand the licking! i don't know how it doesn't drive people under absolutely insane. I know this will make me sound crazy - but I've actually trained my dog to not do it if I'm around. if he does and I clap gently, he will stop or leave the room. He doesn't have any particular skin issues though so I don't feel too bad stopping him. My H doesn't understand why this irritates me so much but I can't handle even 15 secs of it.
@cford08@LiveNLove44@bb3vj3n you guysssssss I feel you all but from a different angle. My dog itches all. the. time. He was itching as I was reading this thread in bed earlier this morning. Never fails he wakes me up before my alarm. Think Thumper from Bambi. He is on allergy meds, special allergy food, and gets baths regularly but he still itches. Poor thing. I love him to pieces but MAN the itching...
We're possibly rehoming our dog and it's breaking my heart. We've had her for 8 years and love her to pieces. She's been with us through a lot. The death of two grandmothers, four losses, multiples moves - several out of state. She's starting to have issues with my DD though. Yesterday she nipped at her. We've tried all sorts of things before coming to this conclusion and I hate it.
We're going to take her to meet a good friend's mom's (that we see often) neighbor. I've never met the neighbor but she's been their neighbor forever practically. She's had other dogs and seema to really be looking forward to meeting ours.
I want to keep my kids safe and I want my dog to feel safe in her home. I'm just heartbroken though.
@mylovelittlelove my heart hurts for you, that has to be so hard. Hopefully the meeting with the neighbor goes well, and she and your pup will be a good fit together. You have to do what you have to do to keep your daughter safe, but that doesn't make it easy
Thanks ladies! @becausescience@cford08@LiveNLove44 I finally fell asleep around 3:30. I'm hoping for an early bedtime tonight! Who needs more than 3 hours of sleep anyways!? Especially when I have a wedding to shoot tomorrow!
@mylovelittlelove I sure hope the neighbor agrees to take your dog so you can at least visit! Losing a pet sucks, even if you do still get to visit from time to time.
I wish TB had a large family board. I use to love my ones from FB, but I don't want to go back to FB. I checked out other sites, but they are confusing. I learned so much from the group, that I feel like I am missing out not having that dialogue. Does anyone know how to suggest it to TB Gods?
