    @bethann1022 - You've already transferred or are getting ready? I've gone through 3 FET cycles (1 successful) and I've only ever used Estrace+PIO - and then Estrace+PIO+suppositories, post-transfer.

    Thank you, @sarcasticowl! Always that dreaded U/S to see if the date sticks ... then having to wait. I always feel at this point - it should be instantaneous, right?! It just so happens my first FET (my 15 mo daughter) was also during October, which is super hectic at my job. Looking back, though, I almost prefer it. It gets a little stressful making sure you can make it - my RE is 2.5 hours away - BUT the workload also kind of keeps you *somewhat* mentally occupied during all. the. waiting. From what my nurse told me, there is a pretty decent window of a few days ... so don't worry too much about it :smiley:

    @MamaK225 Welcome and good luck prepping for your upcoming FET!  We had ours on the 2nd, so officially 2dp5dt, trying to remain calm, meditating a lot, and focusing on trying not to symptom spot

    @mamak225 My clinic doesn't do the initial beta until 10 days post transfer...so not until next Thursday, when does yours do them?

    Mine does them 5-7 days (depending on the calendar) after transfer. If it's positive, they like to have a baseline and a trend (done 2-4 days after the initial) to make sure it's climbing as they expect/want it to do.

    Wow that is sooo awesome MamaK225, if it's negative, do they still have you wait a few more days for a repeat in case it was a late implanter?  I wish mine did that, I could wait 5-6 days, but it gets stressful guessing every day what is going on inside.

    @bethann1022 - I'm not entirely sure what the protocol is, but with both of my failures, I measured at zero - so definitively BFN. I remember with my first FET (the success), my numbers were on the low end, but they picked up quickly. What would have been my 10-11 tests would have had them concerned, had they not seen how low it was at the 6-day mark. I find it fascinating - and infuriating - at how different each practice operates.

    @mamaK225 I completely agree, it is fascinating and infuriating.  I asked for my embryo grading and they said it was a FHB2-1, no idea what that means and can't find online. Only thing I could come up with is possibly a Fair Hatching Blast and 2-1 meaning BA in regular grading?  Who knows, but I am hoping its a 5BA, my RE did say it a good quality A- blast so trying to remain hopeful that this is the one.  My RE doesn't check progesterone or estrogen at all from when you start progesterone (for me thats 6 days before transfer) until I believe at your 3rd beta.  It drives me crazy that there are so many protocols, and you have to wonder if there should be a matching of patients with particular clinics based on needs.

    @bethann1022 It really makes an already-complicated thing even more so. I didn't even realize there were actual grades until after FET#2 (when my DD from FET#1 was 12 months!), I was talking with someone else and they asked. Completely clueless. I guess I just trusted my RE & the Techs when they said an embryo was "good quality."  :shrug:  Then again, without PGS, it's just a visual assessment, but I also assume certain ones HAVE to be better.

    @mamak225 I feel like our RE's office doesn't tell us the grade because they feel like laypeople can't fully understand the grading process and would get unnecessarily freaked out of an embryo wasn't an AA (as if we're grading chicken eggs!). I had to ask before our transfer what she was graded as because they only said it looked good and was already hatching. I guess I can sort of understand not wanting to readily give up that information, lest they get a ton of questions about it. Apparently they don't realize that we Google the hell out of EVERYthing and don't really need an explanation as long as we have our phones close by LOL.

    @prudence9-2 good luck with starting the next phase of this cycle, glad to hear your lining was at a good place to be able to start PIO on Friday.  Unfortunately, Im not familiar with the Neupogen injection for FET, but hoping it helps you find success!

    @bethann1022 you should be happy you’re not familiar with neupogen. ;)

    this med can cause in the short term for my spleen to rapture. Which is why I need weekly blood tests to monitor the levels. And in the long term, there is an hypothetical risk of leukemia...

    Thanks @mjpbarretto excited to be a week away from transfer. Yet a little scared. 

    On the the bright side, just did the Lupron shot, and I have one more left!! Hopefully i will never need to use that again!! FX!!!!

    @Bababatty the neupogen is to help if I have an immune issue. I wasn’t tested for any immune issues but **TW** I had one embryo stop growing at 6w 1d and another one ended in a chemical. Both embryos were PGS normal and we couldn’t find the issue that might have caused this. My dr says there is still high chance it was genetic defect with the embryos. But there is a chance that my body is rejecting them. So we will try neupogen which suppose to increase my white cell blood count. So if my body will wants to fight the embryo because the WBC is high, my body might think it’s already fighting it and will not join the fight. So it’s basically to trick my body. I hope it works. It my WBC increases too much, my spleen might rapture so they will monitor my WBC weekly. Also there is an hypothetical risk of leukemia :( **end TW***

    @prudence9-2 oh boy, the risks that come with Neupogen are really something. What's the reason why no tests were done to determine your immune issues? (if ever you have them)

    my dh also raised this issue to our dr. He told her that I got strong immune sys and I don't get sick, he requested for me to be tested but Dr. said there are no available tests for that. Hmmm I'm not completely sure if that was what she really said, I'll get back to this later.

    @tinjp78 I think my RE believes the tests might not be conclusive? Not sure... but she feels the risk of neupogen in pregnancy is not as big as the risk of prednisone.  And I see many other REs prescribe prednisone... so I hope she’s right. :(

    and I don’t think that the fact you’re never sick indicates an immune issue. But I’m not a doctor  :p

    @Bababatty I will take it until 9 weeks. So for max of 6.5 weeks. FX I make it that long!!!

    Any ideas for a reason I’ll be “sick” on Wed? This past year I had so many procedures that I took sick day for. So for my transfers I usually have a regular sickness. For my first transfer I had a migraine. And for the second one stomach virus. 

    Any idea what I could have now? I need an issue that can be resolved after a day. So I will go to work on Thurs.

    @prudence9-2 Could you use the migraine reason again? Definitely seems reasonable, and it's normal to get them more than once. Your first FET was pretty early this past year, right? So you wouldn't be establishing a pattern by having a migraine every other month.  :)
