  • @tinjp78 Hi! I started patches and baby aspirin yesterday. Patches seem to be helping a little with headaches. I have my lining check next week. How are you doing?
  • @mjpbarretto I'm glad to know that your patches are easing you up on your headaches. Gl on your upcoming lining check, pls stay warm all the time. Afm, I'm not doing anything yet, just some light excercises to prepare for my FET. All the action will happen when Oct steps in.. woohoooo! I'm excited
  • @mjpbarretto glad to hear you don’t have headaches anymore. I was still having headaches on and off until I started with two patches on Wed. And tomorrow I’m up to 4 patches! And then lining u/s on Wed!

  • @Crystal321 if anyone Can relate it’s me especially today. I got my D5 report yest and of the 8 eggs fertilized only two made it to the blast phase. I’m disappointed because now I’m stuck in this unknown between whether I should do another IVF or a frozen transfer cycle. We’re expecting PGS results in the next couple weeks so hopefully at least one of these to come back normal. I’ll keep my fingers crossed hope everything works out for you
  • @rainbows2018 sorry to hear only 2 made it. FX they both come back normal!!!

  • @prudence9-2 thanks! I’m on 2 patches that I change every other day. Headaches are not as bad today. But before patches, it was brutal. I hope it keeps getting better. I have my blood test and lining check on Thursday. I’m a little nervous.
  • @rainbows2018 sorry to hear about your fertilization report. Hoping both come back normal.
  • @rainbows2018 I'm sorry about the fert report, hoping and praying for good results.

@mjpbarretto @prudence9-2 I hope your headaches disappear soon.

Hi all, I'm doing my FET on 10/26 (fx) I started lupron 6 days ago and I'm still
on BCP until tomorrow night.  I have days where I'm fine and days where I'm just plain nauseous, and a now I get dizzy too. no headaches really (thank goodness). I have my first  official FET BW/US on Thursday & I hopefully start patches on then. Does this help the nausea?
  • @mjpbarretto my lining is on Wed! As of today I’m up to 4 patches!

@tinjp78 thanks! Headaches decreased once I started the patches over a week ago. And gone completely since I upped to two patches on Wed.  What about you? When do you start?

@coco305 welcome! I didn’t have neusea from Lupron but headaches and yes, once you start with the patches, you will get a relief.

  • Hello everyone. On Friday's appointment my progesterone was too high, so they had me come back this morning to retest. It did not drop enough, so I am on BC for a week. This is the second time this has happened and I am a tad frustrated that the nurses can't tell me why... I haven't had a chance to talk to my doctor yet. I asked if this was more common when on the shots, but she said it shouldn't matter. Anyway, I am benched for a week. Bummer
  • Ugh! So frustrating. Hopefully the BC works. @Crystal321
  • @Crystal321 ahh that sucks! How high was it? Were you doing PIO that it got too high?

@prudence9-2 it was at 5 on day 3 of my cycle, and 4.4 today. And yes I was on the PIO shots. TW - I was successful with IVF back in 2014 on the suppositories, I have no idea why they put me on shots. I don't know if the shots cause it, the nurse said no, but regardless I hate the shots and don't understand why they switched it up for the FET
  • @crystal321. Not an expert, but I asked my nurse the same thing about using suppositories.  She said they used to do it, but the research is showing better overall outcomes with PIO?  So that may have something to do with it.  Less about you and your own past experience, and more about the research? idk.  I'm sorry this is so frustrating for you right now. :/
  • @Crystal321 they had you start PIO that early in the cycle? I only start PIO 6 days before transfer...

As for PIO, from my understanding it is more effective than the suppositories...

  • @Crystal321 sorry about your test results. After one week of BCP do you get to start right away or do you have to wait for AF?

@prudence9-2 good luck on your appt on Wednesday. Can’t wait to hear all about it. If all goes well on my appt on Thursday i’ll start PIO on the 10th and 11th. So hopefully everything will be great so I can keep moving forward.
  • @prudence9-2 Yeah, I guess my nasal spray works like Lupron. I'm here in Japan so the protocol seems a bit different.
  • @prudence9-2 my betas were on sept 22 so I stopped progesterone that same day. The transfer itself was on sept 8

@mjpbarretto I get to resume on friday
  • @bethann1022 and @20T your transfer sched is on 10/2 right? How are you ladies doing now? I hope that everything is in order. I'm praying for a successful transfer
  • @tinjp78 Lupron is terrible. Be happy you don’t use it!!!

@mjpbarretto 10th or 11th will probably be my transfer day ;)

@Crystal321 my transfer was a month before on August 7h.  **TW** ended in a chemical :( ***end TW***

@bethann1022 last time I used PIO I also started having knots in my muscles and bruises. What helped me was to put ice on the spot. (Not immediately after the injection. First heat pad but then at night time ice pack)

    good luck tomorrow @bethann1022 & @20T !!!

who’s next after?  If all goes as planned, My transfer will be during the second week of October

  • @prudence9-2 TW - I had a chemical pregnancy in august as well. I was sooooo hopeful when I saw that positive on the hpt. Hopefully this is our month to go full term!

@bethann1022 goodluck on your transfer!! Just try and relax regarding the hpt. They sometimes cause more anxiety than they are worth. Also progesterone tends to make your body feel pregnancy symptoms, so that is not a solid indicator either. I guess just do whatever will put you at ease :) I try not to take them because the results mean nothing for me until I see the hcg numbers that are strong

Good luck to you ladies with your upcoming transfers!
  • @Crystal321 so you had FET in August and September? What is your protocol? Mine takes about 5.5 weeks! And that is not including 2 weeks prior with BCP! So there is no way I can do it 2 months in a row.

But hopefully this is month will work for both of us!
