Re: Weekly Symptoms Thread 9.25

  • @mamaof5already I'm sorry you have to deal with that, but happy to know I'm not the only one. Yes, my BH tend to be painful.
Hmm,  mine don't hurt. Its just an all over tightening.  Have you tried drinking ice water when you get them? Ice always helped me when i was in labor.  I wonder if you just have really strong muscles?
My BH with DD were pretty painful too towards the end. I try to stay pretty hydrated but I'm sure I could always do better. So far all of the ones I've noticed with this baby have been uncomfortable. I may put in a call tomorrow because I don't have an appointment for like 2 more weeks.

  • This ones kinda odd but is anyone else producing colostrum yet? I've had a couple times now where it's leaked into my shirt or bra. I don't remember this happening until my third tri with DS!!

Yes. It starts around 20 weeks.
  • @smorzandoj thanks!! I'll be 20 weeks on Sunday so that explains it!

I think so, though I am not leaking. I have had gross crusty nipples for a few weeks now that I think is dried colostrum. I have not found any wet spots yet though.
  • +1 for wet spots in my bra and crusty nipples -- 20 weeks now but started a few weeks ago.  So glamorous.
  • This is weird, but... I have bunions and they have been super achy lately. They haven't hurt this much since I ran a marathon. Anyone else? Is it all of the extra weight?
  • I've been totally MIA on the bump the last several weeks. I've been finally feeling so much better and functioning...but it means that I have been so busy doing everything I wasn't able to do when I couldn't get off the couch! But looking through what everyone else wrote...I can totally agree with the meeting at night and the intense hunger! Im not starving all day long but when I eat, I can easily match my husband! I haven't been feeling sick or struggling with indigestion like I was (although still have a few foods cut out of my diet) but still have random moments of throwing up here and there. I never threw up once with my last, let alone issues like that at this point in my pregnancy.
  • +1 to the leaky boobs! It's not bad during the day but I have to make sure I wear nursing pads at night. Part of this is due to still breastfeeding though. My heartburn returned this pregnancy with a vengeance to the point of not being able to bend over without feeling like I'm going to puke. This of course happened right after my appointment so I called to get a zantac prescription today.
  • Holy crap my hips hurt!
I have been staying active through this pregnancy and trying to stay limber by doing yoga- but apparently it's not helping the hips!

a while ago, somewhere on here a person posted a link to PT exercises that help w hip pain. I can't find it, but does anyone else have recommended stretches or fixes I can do? I've googled a ton, but I want to make sure I'm doing what works
  • To everyone who asked what BH feel like-

contract an arm muscle and hold it. It's tight, doesn't hurt, but gets uncomfortable. Just like BH. They get stronger towards the end for me.

Someone explained it to me this was way when I was FTM and it really helped me. Hopefully it helps you all!.

  • Well, sadly, I just learned that cool ranch doritos are now off limits :-(

Also sometimes when I'm lying on my side, I stretch too much i guess cuz it gets quite uncomfy like my insides are expanding, which they probably are. And then that one side is very stiff when I get up. Skipping yoga this week cuz I'm out of town but I needs it.
  • @clc515 I feel you on the chips except I can no longer eat pb&j so far which is always my favorite
  • @clc515 Basically all the things I craved and ate the week before my morning sickness kicked in are still off limits and it’s so sad because they’re my favorite things! Avocados, tomato sandwiches, jambalaya. Even though my morning sickness is gone those foods still don’t appeal to me at all. I hope I get to enjoy them again!
