@olitwinturbosnprincess thanks, just lots of life stuff. It took me a long time to want a child, I was definitely one of those people that had a ‘checklist’ in place that I wanted done before I felt like I was going to be ready. When we started trying for kids I had all the boxes checked off. And since getting pregnant it seems like that list is slowly unraveling and I’m left with a bunch of boxes unticked. Things unticked that I wouldn’t have been comfortable trying for kids to begin with.
I lost my well paying full time job, found out that being on unemployment means I won’t get a full mat leave, husband was in line to get a promotion by the end of the full Mat leave which meant I wouldn’t have to go back to work but now since the leave will run out early we won’t be able to afford the bills.
And now husband is dealing with some medical things. We’ve been going to specialists and they keep ordering more scary testing saying that it’s either ‘nothing, and he’s just built that way’ or ‘something really bad’ so it’s just like. Wtf.
I used to be on low dosage Ativan but i hated how it made me feel so I rarely took it. I have a physical next week so I may ask about my options.
Is anyone else getting really dizzy sometimes? I drink TONS of water (talking like 110 ounces a day) so I know it's not that I'm dehydrated it's usually when I'm cooking i don't know if it's from the heat or what but i get to where I'll have to stop cooking and go sit down for awhile and then it's usually better.
@heatherandmatt26 yes, random dizzy spells here as well, and I'm also well hydrated and eating plenty and often. I also notice it happens to me when I'm too warm, or if I stand up too quickly. I too usually just need to sit for a few minutes. My midwife assured me this is totally normal, unless it starts happening with increasing frequency or becomes disruptive. Definitely worth mentioning at your next appt, but I'm sure it's nothing (well, not nothing, but normal ).
@pandappanderson I'm sorry. I have zero good advice and nothing to offer other than you're not alone. Sounds like a shitty season for you, but I've got my fingers crossed your husband's health is okay and that things start turning around.
@pandappanderson That's enough to stress anyone. And having all the extra hormones! Ugh! I'm sorry that you're dealing with all that. I'm not a medical professional, but I have dealt with depression and anxiety. I know that stress actually changes your brain chemistry. I'm glad you have a physical and are open to trying things. I would recommend therapy too, but I know for me, I feel like I don't have time to get to the things I need to do and adding one more appointment is overwhelming for me. But maybe it would help you? And for sure, we are here. I love/hate the expression "everything happens for a reason." Maybe the ladies here have some suggestions. I was out of work for about a year and a half and ended up with a small Etsy shop and selling things on eBay. It's not my path, and I have a job in my chosen field again, but it opened my eyes to other options and ways of doing things.
@pandappanderson I had PPA after DD was born and I had about 8 weeks of prenatal anxiety with this pregnancy. You are not alone. All of those stressors building up around you must feel suffocating. Without going into too much detail, we were having our own string of bad luck and issues that were contributing to the anxiety. This is going to sound totally dumb but something that helped me was laying on my back (if you can) and flexing my leg muscles while taking and holding deep breaths. Then I'd do the same thing with my arms. Taking that control of my body would help ground me for a while. I would definitely have a conversation with your doctor. I had an agreement with mine that if I was still struggling in (whatever time frame) or if I got worse we'd start medication. If what you took before made you sick maybe there's something else that can help you. *hugs* I hope you feel better.
@pandappanderson I will reiterate what everyone else said: Everything you are going through is anxiety provoking on its own. Add a pregnancy and all of the hormones and a big life change into the mix, and anyone can understand how it can feel totally overwhelming. I've dealt with anxiety and depression most of my life. (All of) my Dr(s). and I agreed that staying on a low, but therapeutic, dose of anti-anxiety meds during my pregnancy was the best course of action. I think it's a good idea to talk to your Dr. and I'm glad you're open to trying something else. Finding the right meds can take some trial and error, and once you do find the right one, it can take a couple weeks to kick-in. Until then, I can suggest remembering that you have felt anxious before and it has passed. There have been tough times, and you've gotten through them. It helps me to think of my anxiety like a wave that crashes over me and pulls me down. If I fight it and resist it, it pulls me down harder. If I acknowledge it for what it is, it passes over me and I bob to the surface again. Meditation really helped me deal with my anxiety. It's hard to get into at first, but there are a lot of good apps with guided meditations to help you get started. If you EVER need anything, don't hesitate to reach out. You are not alone!
Thanks everyone! I’m hoping that at my husbands next appt on Monday everything gets cleared for him and that’s one thing off my plate. And his plate. And obviously I just want him to be ok.
Being unemployed means I have too much time on my hands to overthink things. Hubby is a pilot so he’s gone 3-4 days at a time so it’s a lot of time alone with not much to do but worry. Perhaps I need to figure out a hobby....:
Bloating and trapped gas every single day. I think It's worse if I don't start hydrating first thing when I wake up. I can't eat a full meal in one sitting without feeling like my belly will explode. Also when I'm sitting down I have these weird nerve(?) feelings at the very top of my belly. I think it's gas but it's new since the weekend.
I had RLP during the first tri but it's mostly gone away, only feel it in the groin sometimes and if I move weird. Wut up with that? I thought it was supposed to happen mostly in the 2nd tri.
Waiting to feel the babies... nothing yet but have an anterior placenta. FTM 19w3d with modi twins

I have joined you in the can't eat a whole meal thing. 20 + 3 with the twins. I feel like everything is happening waaaay earlier with this pregnancy than with my singleton. The groin pain, sciatica, Braxton hicks, and heartburn. Boo! My groin pain is right on my pubic bone, it feels like it is stretching apart. I had it last time too, and it's from our ligaments loosening up preparing for delivery. I went to a chiropractor last time who specializes in pregnancy using the Webster technique. It worked like a charm! I plan on making an appointment with her this week for the pubic pain. I highly recommended!

I've found drinking water doesn't help my thirst and just made me pee more. Hubby suggested gatorade and it is helping immensely.
Still no kicks with this stupid anterior placenta. I find myself feeling really anxious after a few days past an appt and counting down to the next one.
Another +1 for peeing all the time! And worse at night! I've also had some wicked migraines! They just cripple me! I have to lay in a dark room just to keep from throwing up! And my sinuses have just been awful!
Anyone else getting uterine tightening (probably BH) when they are exerting themselves a little more than usual? I just had to drink a big cup of water and lay down to relax. Only 19 weeks....
@BrittaniLC I started to get them during my usual jog last week, super tight and uncomfortable! You're doing everything right to get your uterus to calm down, though. Just another joy of the impending second half of pregnancy...
Also, here's a new one for me. Sitting hurts. After about 5 minutes my tailbone starts to feel super tender and I have to shift positions to the side. I feel like I need one of those butt pillows.
Is it normal to get more moles during pregnancy? I swear in the last 2 weeks I’ve noticed 4 new ones.
Yes. I have a lot of them anyway and got more with each pregnancy. So far, no new ones, but I know they are coming. They are usually no big deal, just another symptom, but I get them checked out by my dermatologist.
I literally have a pain in the butt. My butt hurts about an inch above and to the left of my tailbone when I walk. It is just that one small spot and feels like my butt is splitting apart. Is that sciatica?
Also, went for my anatomy scan and was told I have a marginal cord insertion. Baby was measuring right on, they are not too concerned, but now I have growth scan scheduled for in 6 weeks just to check up on things. Anyone else?
@BrittaniLC totally ya. Not really feeling them yet with this baby, but I remember with my son it was always a sign I needed to rest and take a drink of water. I am on my feel all day at work and so far it's the only time I've felt them with this baby! 18+2.
@lainikins that sounds like your SI (sacroiliac) joint. Dysfunction of that joint can lead to sciatica. I saw a PT for it before I was preg, am going to a chiropractor next week. I'd recommend a PT, I'm not usually into chiropractic but the one I'm going to was recommended to me by an equally skeptical pregnant friend

Thanks! I just looked it up and it seems like the right spot. I never would have thought of a joint because it does not seem like a traditional joint spot. I did not even realize there was a joint there.
Is anyone else getting cramps/BH when they get stressed out or upset?
Yes. This has been happening to me for weeks. Its generally when my ex is being a jerk or my mom is being super naggy about everything that needs to get done by contractors schedules (which are or of my control). I am now teething to avoid those situations, or when it happens take a break in a quiet room to get them to calm down.
@lainikins I have a marginal cord insertion too, my MW didn't seem concerned at all, I think its only a cause for concern if its REALLY close to the edge, like less than 2 cm.

Yeah. The Dr that came in to look closer at it did not seem too concerned either. She was very reassuring that everything was measuring perfectly for the baby, but did mention that mine was really close to the edge (I was not given specifics). I figure they are just playing it safe, which I am happy about. I did not ask many questions as I did not know much about it at the time.
Am I the only one experiencing no symptoms this week? I'm with you ladies on the peeing, I only get up once at night though it's not too bad. Back pain is still kind of there only when I do the house work or walk around for too long though. Morning sickness came back and left! Acne seems to have cleared up and my emotions aren't as crazy as before. I can feel baby moving around a lot, especially when the cats sit on my belly and pur haha
New thing: when I lay down I think my new boobs are trying to suffocate me.
Hahahaha I've been feeling this way lately too.
On a separate note, today and this whole week has been the week from hell at work, but feeling my sweet girl's little kicks are helping make me feel better.
Braxton hicks have already started for me. I feel like it's so early for them. But maybe I had them last time and didn't realize what they were? Anyone else?
They've definitely started early for me.... just tightness but I think it may be that I know what they are now versus with my first.
@mamaof5already I'm sorry you have to deal with that, but happy to know I'm not the only one. Yes, my BH tend to be painful.
Hmm, mine don't hurt. Its just an all over tightening. Have you tried drinking ice water when you get them? Ice always helped me when i was in labor. I wonder if you just have really strong muscles?
@mamaof5already I get a lot of tightening too. They aren't painful, but just kinda uncomfortable. I drink water when it happens and just try and take some deep breathes. It usually happens during and after I am working (I'm a massage therapist). I definitely didn't have this with DD. I worked a hell of a lot harder with that pregnancy.
