I went MIA the 2nd half of last week because all of my symptoms vanished. I had no negative symptoms either so I just got off the bump to not stress myself out. I am sure everything is fine and I hear the heartbeat for the first time today!

I (hopefully) have 2 this week. I am French Canadian with some interesting family history so our OB recommended MH and I meet with a genetic counselor to review options for genetic screening and carrier testing. That won't be very fun but we should be able to schedule the NT test right after (which we're doing regardless simply because we want the US) so hoping to catch my first glimpse of baby!
We never had a dating US so it's been frustrating to go this long (im 11+1) without seeing baby or hearing the heartbeat. I certainly have enough symptoms to know something is going on in there but it will be reasuring to have concrete proof that all is OK.
We have our NT scan Wednesday. After not getting a strong/consistent HB with the doppler last week i'm really looking forward to some reassurance and seeing to know everything is going right as it should be.
@easilydistracted87 I agree must be unsettling to go so long without hearing or seeing baby! Good luck at your Screenings, likewise I don't want to miss a chance to see baby! I think we may be close in EDD!
I have an OB appt today where I probably will get my flu shot, and most likely another scan to check on my SCH. Fingers crossed, because I haven't bled in a week!
Then on Wed I get my NT scan, which I am seriously nervous about. I don't know why I am so intimidated, but I really am.
Thursday I have what I'd call the intake appointment. I believe we'll also do blood draw for genetic testing (and for gender). I don't actually want results other than gender, as we would not terminate for any reason. Good luck to all with appointments this week!
Good luck today, @bossmom11. Update us when you hear that beautiful heartbeat!
@kmalls they told me the wrong day and it's actually tomorrow. I was so pissed and definitely ugly cried. Trying to distract myself all day until my appointment tomorrow.

@bossmom11 I'm so sorry they did that to you. I would have had a seriously hard time not saying something unladylike in that moment. Especially if you work and took time off to get there.
I had my first appt whn I was 5.5 weeks and saw a sack and heartbeat, but it was too small to hear. Got back in today to listen to the heartbeat, and to find out we're having identical twins!!! 11 weeks, 2 babies on the way!!!
7 am appointments are for the birds. I was up all night with anxiety over this. Hopefully all will be well and I’ll be able to update the bag of beans post shortly!

I know this is the appt thread and maybe not the most appropriate place for this but 'd just like to address this often used phrase... Termination is not the only reason to have genetic testing done. Some parents find it informative and helpful to know if their child has a high risk for certain conditions so they can find the appropriate doctors, read and research what this means for their family, and be prepared. Some parents find it relieving to be told their child has a very low chance of having certain conditions. Whatever your reason for doing genetic testing or not, that's your decision. But this phrase often irks me the wrong way bc as someone who does genetic testing, it absolutely does not mean that I will terminate my pregnancy bc of that test. I just want to be prepared, and more than that I'm hoping to be relieved by the result.

I feel the same way with 8:45am appts. I hope yours goes well @tooraloorah
@ngolimento if I didn't have an amazing boss, who doesn't know yet, it would have been a lot more difficult to take off again. I was still really upset.
@kaymaroo they said if it wasn't a 30 min Appt they would have but the practice only had one OB in yesterday and couldn't double book.
Appt went great! The NP is was awesome! Got a pap and got to hear our little baby. Very strong heartbeat, wasn't told the rate but we were just so happy to hear it! NP wants to firm up dates so she ordered a US for us in 2 weeks! I am so glad I don't have to wait until 22 weeks for baby's first picture!!!

So glad to hear every ones screenings are going well! @bossmom11 that happened with the anatomy scan with my daughter! I had her god parents come to see the sex and they had never scheduled it! I had to go two days later to squeeze it in! Godparents did not get to see! It was sad!!
Just got back from the NT scan and it went great! The baby looks perfect with a HB of 155 and was moving around like crazy. The tech said the result for Downs was "negative". I'm sure my doctor will get back to me with further details but that was such a relief to hear! Baby is measuring right on track at exactly 12+1 so no change to the EDD.
I had one last weeek. Received my flu shot & a whole bunch of blood work needed to be done! That's always fun. ... I nearly fainted, they took 9 vials of blood and they almost had me do a glucose test but I was there for two hours and was going to be late for work. So I'm doing that next time. They scheduled my NT us for October 2nd. Hoping it all goes well!
Heard the heartbeat today at my appointment. Sounded awesome!
A little backstory, the way I found out I was pregnant was I was supposed to have surgery to remove a tumor from the back of my leg. We want to get it out to make sure it's not cancerous. Well when I got my positive test, we cancelled the surgery. So now my OB has given me the ok to have it removed and just waiting on the surgeon to see when he wants to schedule it. I will more than likely just get a block in my leg, not being completely put out.

No offense meant to anyone. Several years ago, a pregnant friend was told her child was high likelihood of having Down's Syndrome and encouraged to terminate. Kiddo didn't have Down's Syndrome. In her case having the test results was undue stress. Being educated about what you may face and knowing which doctors you have available are great reasons to want to have the information, I agree.
@dlammers That just happened to my friend. She had a mass on her thyroid that she had to have removed and found out she was pregnant right before the surgery. She had to have the procedure done awake just using some local anesthetic.
@dlammers I found out I had a basal cell on my neck around 38 weeks pregnant. They did local anesthetic on and removal surgery on the spot and i'm thankful we didn't wait. I had another large spot removed from my thigh (not pregnant) earlier this year and it was local as well. I am a nervous nelly but didn't feel anything pain either time. Glad you are cleared and hope that the procedure is smooth and quick!
@dlammers so sorry you have to go through all of that! Best hopes for a smooth removal and back to pregnancy brain! @sarahmarieday good luck! my NT US is the same day!
Well I just got bit by the mischeduling bug too. My DD's 30 month wellnesss check was supposed to be today around noon, and when we got there, they just gave us a blank stare. Her original doctor there left two months ago, and she is due for this appt, but somehow I misunderstood or got confused. They kept phrasing it that way, and I got so freaking angry, but had to be polite because I don't want to teach my kid to be a jerk.
I wanted to be like "Oh yeah, I'm a shitty mom who completely forgot to schedule a wellness visit (after never missing one), and then because I am a moron, I decided to show up in your office whenever I pleased. You nailed it. Go you.". It totally is impossible that they mishandled re-assigning some of the old doctor's appointments. Right.

This week I only have one appt! MFM today at 230.
Me (33). DH (37). DD (2.2012). MCs x4. After 4 years & 7 months, due 4.2018!
Baby had a heartbeat of 171 and was moving around like crazy! So neat to see!
Edited to add: Still measuring on track at 11w2d.
