  • @ash0625 @clc515 it will come!!! Don't worry

  • I keep feeling this squishy jab at the bottom of my uterus. They said baby was head down and I'm thinking when it stretches this is what I'm feeling. But it's a weird feeling and it creeps me out every time. The normal kicks on the top of my uterus are great though. I never felt this with DS1
  • @ash0625 I can't feel movement either (18 weeks). I'm repeating to myself what @psm2462 said, that FTMs feel it later and baby is fine.

  • She definitively dropped an F bomb.

I am 20 weeks today @SarahFoley725.  Lots of flutters and I think I may have gotten an actual kick two nights ago but not sure.

Yay for muscle relaxers for the dog @eggplantface!  Our dachshund is currently on those and Gabopentin for problems with the muscles/ discs in his neck.  It's better than surgery and works pretty well.  Hope your dog does well on it too!
  • @magnolia305 a tommy topper and a crier, she must be something special!

How much coffee are you guys drinking? I have limited myself to 1/2 cup 2 or 3 days a week, and Im such a better mom on those days. Just wondering where I fall on the caffine spectrum.
  • I can't feel baby either and this is my fourth pregnancy to progress this far. 17.5 weeks but with an anterior placenta. I hate not feeling them! Sometimes I think I feel what I can describe as popcorn popping. Hopefully I will feel him soon

  • @seitzy3 definitely baby!

With DD I had a "I think I felt the baby" moment once a week from 17-20 and then consistent moment at 20 weeks! Don't worry y'all it's coming. Everyone is different.
  • @seitzy3  Popcorn popping is a perfect way to describe it.  This is #4 for me and I am wondering about having an anterior placenta, too.  At 17w6d, I'm not feeling anything much.  Sometimes a "rolling" sensation on the side.
  • @mayapple44 I have a 6-8oz cup each morning. I can’t function without it! I usually try to stick to the 6oz but there are days I need that extra bit:)

  • @mayapple44 I have about 150mg a day. For a few weeks it may have been a bit more because I didn't realize the Diet Sunkist I was drinking when I got home at night had 41mg/12oz of caffeine in it. Not much, but it adds to the total! The recommendation is under 200mg/day. I couldn't function without caffeine.

Thanks for the replies. I had a co-worker mention that I was drinking 'way more' coffee this pregnancy than the last. I know I shouldn't let it get to me

I drink all the coffee. Which is usually a cup of coffee at home and a medium latte later 5 x week.... I'm not sure how this translates to mg but I can't survive on less
  • Thanks, @meatballs37
I'm just ready to let the cat out of the bag!

I'm a third time Mom and just started feeling flutters. (I'll be 19w on Friday). I commented during the anatomy scan that as active as Squish was I should be able to feel that. The sonographer told me Squish weighs 8 oz and I shouldn't be able to feel much and not to worry.

My doctor told me if you're a heavy caffeine drinker it's not as bad as if you're a light drinker. I went from drinking 4-5 12oz cups of coffee a day to 2 8oz cups. I've been good so far.

@SarahFoley725 I am the MOST excited for this, but I still cannot. feel. this. baby.

This is #6 for me and I only feel him here and there. Definitely with I sneeze. Lol I suspect my placenta is anterior. I had an interior placenta with my other boys and didn't start feeling more regular and obvious movement until 21ish weeks. I felt noticeable movement with my girls, felt from the outside, around 17-18 weeks.

  • I just put a brown sugar bacon pork loin in the crock pot. Never made it before and only did it because I used ingredients in my cabinet already and it's either gonna turn out really good or taste like balls. I'm hoping for the first

I think it sounds delicious! There was a restaurant in my old neighborhood that had a bacon-centric menu (still can't figure out how it went out of business!) and they had a maple-bacon appetizer that was just *drooooooool* Such a great combo!

@rainafire77 That makes me feel less guilty--bc I know I still drink a decent amount of caffeine.

@mayapple44 I still drink my two cups a day most days... BUT I did switch to half caf. It works for me better. Drinking coffee is calming/relaxing to me so I didn't want to quit completely

  • @mayapple44 I have my coffee drinking down to a science. My Dr. cares very little about "food restrictions" for the most part, but cares a lot about caffeine. So I know exactly how much coffee (and what kinds of coffee) I can have and stay around 200mg. Sometimes its a little more and TBH its almost never less.

  • I miss caffeine! I started reacting badly to caffeine in college and have had to go caffeine free for over a decade now. I miss it so much, especially during the exhaustion of being pregnant and in the newborn phase. Pitty party here, sorry.
  • It's crazy but before I was pregnant I didn't really care too much about coffee, but since I've been pregnant I want all the coffee. It may just be because I "shouldn't have it" but I've probably drank more caffeine in these last 18 weeks than I did the 5 months leading up to getting pregnant.
  • @SarahFoley725 That is sooo sweet!!! My little guy has started feeding his puppies and carrying them around and I find it so sweet. A little doll would be so cute!!
  • I will honestly say that I probably can't even drink a full 8oz cup. The taste starts to get nasty to me and I dump it out. Most of my caffeine comes from iced tea.

  • I had an anterior placenta with DD. And it took a long time to feel her. So hang in there FTMs, before you know it, you won't remember what it was like to not feel those babies. :)

This time my placenta is posterior, so I'm feeling a lot more than I ever did with DD. Plus with there being two, it's just weird all around. I never know if it's just one of them, or both of them. (I'm almost 20 weeks).

Why, why, WHY do people feel the need to make these types of comments?? Only you and your Dr. Should care about your caffeine in-take. That said, I managed to make the switch to decaf while TTC. I have a small decaf every morning. If I have a migraine, I will make it a half caff.

I'm 18.5 weeks and I feel pretty lucky that I have been able to feel this nugget move at least once a day for the past week or so. It's crazy active. I do have a tilted uterus and I wonder if that has anything to do with why I can feel so much movement so early...?
  • @seitzy3 Where did you find that recipe?  I have 2 pork loins in the freezer and never know what to do with them!

@magnolia305 if it turns out good I will definitely share the recipe. I sort of combined two recipes together. I'll let you know!

  • I probably have one or two 6-8oz cups of coffee a day. Sometimes I do one caff and one decaf since I use the keurig at work but sometimes both are caffeinated. When I'm home all day I barely drink any, but at work it is a necessity. I can get by with all decaf since it's mostly the taste that wakes me up, but I like the little extra boost from the caffeine. Just be mindful of your intake and I'm sure you're totally fine!

  • @magnolia305 okay so H really liked the pork. I did too but I'm critical and think I cooked it a little too long. But here's what I did.

I used smaller tenderloins, only about 2 lbs. I also defrosted them in the microwave and then cut excess fat off. Pat dry. Add salt and pepper to each side and rub with minced garlic.

Mix 1 cup of brown sugar, 1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar and 1 tablespoon of Dijon mustard. Rub on both sides of tenderloin.

Place in the crock pot on low.  If you want you can add bacon on top of the pork but it doesn't get crispy but does cook well. I also drizzled Italian dressing on top for a little liquid aspect. The recipe said to cook on low for 8 hours but mine was done around 4. I probably should have stopped at 3.5 actually. I served with mashed potatoes and salad, mac and cheese for the girls!

  • I got a notification about my chart so I look online and it's the anatomy scan. The sex was on there. We're supposed to get the cake tonight. I know what it is. Do I just pretend to find out at the 'reveal' orrrrrr admit to DH I know?
  • @TattoosandLace ahhhh! I'm sorry! That really sucks! I'd wait but that's because I'd at least want to see DH surprised and then I'd tell him after
  • @SunflowerMama428 I'm kindof a control freak, so I hate big surprises where I find out with everyone else. Lol. So I'm totally fine with the adjustment time so my surprised face looks better than a shocked face at me being wrong. I like your plan though. :) I think that's what I'll do.
