Hello everyone! My name is Allison and I'm a 28 year old kindergarten teacher. I just had my confirmation of pregnancy visit yesterday! Everything seems so surreal. I feel like it hasn't fully hit me yet that I'm going to be a mommy. This is my first pregnancy and I can't wait to see my body go though these awesome changes and have a BABY! I am still very early at 5 weeks and my DD is May 17,2018. My husband and I can't wait for this next big step in our life!!~
@BritJonathan I had preeclampsia last time and it was scary stuff. Hoping for a better experience this time. Luckily I was already 36 weeks when I developed it so they were able to induce without too much concern for my DS. I hated being induced though and really don't want to go that route again.
Hey guys! Got my BFP last night and my unofficial due date is 5/18. Excited to be joining but also SO nervous, feeling uneasy and super anxious about the transition from one child to two ! My DH and I were blessed with the most amazing little boy 18 months ago and he's given us more joy than we ever imagined possible. Hoping for a H&H 9 months for everyone and looking forward to getting to know you all!
Hello all! I'm new to all of this and I don't know all of the abbreviations yet so be patient with me, please!
I'm a first time mom and I'm terrified. I'm living in Indiana right now but I'm from Tennessee and all of my family is there. I'm working for an interior design firm here and I enjoy it. My boyfriend and I have been together for 2yrs and this was not planned but I'm not upset about it. I'm 23 (will be 24 when baby arrives) and I'm stable enough to do this with or without him so bring it on!
*TW* I have suffered three losses in the last 5yrs and that's the scary thing. I don't know what caused any of them but I have never made it past 12wks. *End TW*
Right now the nausea is so real. Nothing smells or tastes repulsive but I'm sick to my stomach all the time. Nothing has come up yet, though, so fingers crossed it will pass. Beyond that, I'm also having heartburn and I'm not sleeping well at all.
Today I was 4 days late and I got a positive immediately. I have had a feeling I was expecting for the last week but I made myself wait to test. Im hoping that this little one will be my rainbow baby but I will let you all know either way. EDD is 5/19/18.
Hello! My name is duck_duck_goose but my friends call me duck. I just got my BFP yesterday and am super excited. My edd is may 16th. I have been married to my dh for almost 3 years and we have a 1.66 year old ds who is the bee's knees. I am a little on the shy side, so I tend to do a lot of lurking. However, I am trying to come out of my shell so bear with me with me while I push my boundaries. I'm looking forward to get to know you guys!
Hi everyone! My name is Leah. I have 2 daughters, 3 years and 16 months. 2 losses before them. I got my BFP on day 23 of my cycle and have had all 3 positive tests. So, I'm super early! EDD May 24. I'll be involved my OB tomorrow to get betas checked and eventually a sonogram; they always do this right away because of my history of ectopic pregnancy.

Hi there! Just had my dating US today and looks like I was a week off. So here I am moving over from the April board.
Im a STM from AB, Canada with one adventurous 2yr old boy. My due date is May 1 and like I mentioned above, I had my first US today and got to see our little peanut. HB is strong, though I didn't get to hear it, and everything is looking great!
I got my BFP on Sept 7 which was also my son's first day of preschool. My EDD is May 8 with puts me at about 6 weeks tomorrow. This will be Baby #3 as I have a son who is 4.5 and a daughter who turned 1 on May 12. There is a real chance that Thrice (which is what we have taken to calling this one) could steal my daughter's birthday seeing as how both of my prior kids were late.
I am an insurance adjuster and blogger who just finished my math masters this July. We will see where that takes me, lol.
Hi everyone! First timer here! I think I'm 6 weeks tmrw which puts my around May 8. I say think because my cycle has been super irregular since getting back from deployment in May and then birth control stopping in Juk y and voila! Conception Aug 15...i think. Total unexpected pregnancy but the bf (who I've only been dating for like 4 weeks now...eeeek) and i are trying to be positive. Everything happens for a reason right? First appt is Wednesday since we're still not too sure how far along I am although I'm pretty sure my calculations are correct. Not too many symptoms. Cramping, bloating, sensitive breasts, peeing like crazy. Still doesn't feel real! Anxious to see an ultrasound this week! Stay positive ladies!
Hello May Mamas! This is my second go-around, and I haven't visited the Bump or forums since a couple months after my daughter was born in June of 2014! How exciting to be back! My unofficial due date is 5/20/18. So far I'm feeling mostly great, but some smells are beginning to bother me and if I think about it too hard, I can feel myself getting a little nauseous the last couple of evenings... Definitely hoping for less of that this time around, because I'm not sure how to parent a toddler and barf half of the day for 18 weeks (that's how long I was sick with #1)! Anyway, I'm very much looking forward to going on this journey with you all!
Hi Everyone! This is my first and I had my first BFP on Saturday! I was 4 weeks on Sunday and EDD 5/20/18. I told my husband by playing that part of Gilmore Girls where Sookie (Melissa McCarthy) screams "Norman Mailer I'm pregnant!" LOL. So excited for this journey!
I come to you from the great Midwest where I am a SAHM to a beautiful 2 year old daughter and 1 geriatric rag doll cat. My DH and I have been married 3 years and he works as a medical resident at a local hospital (though he is finishing his training next summer!)
I have been getting faint positives since Saturday but today I finally got a positive within the allotted 3mins so I guess it's official. We are a duel factor infertility couple so this is an IUI baby: the first try after a 12w loss back in July. Due date is approximately May 23 but I'll have a repeat c/s around our anniversary on May 16th.
Hoping this is our rainbow baby and I'm looking forward to getting to know you.
Hi everyone! I am very excited I just got my BFP yesterday at 11 DPO, after 9 months trying. I believe my due date is May 25th-ish. My DS is 2. Our family lives in AZ.
I'm the granny of the board at 38. Can't believe I'm doing this!
TTM. DD1 is 6 and has ADHD/anxiety/giftedness. DD2 is almost 4 and is a total threenager right now.
I'm a working mom. Having tons of anxiety around how this will impact my career growth and around starting over and affording 3 kids and feeling so crazy old.
I recognize some names from past BMBs. Seems like a great board so far!
Hey everyone! I'm Cassie. I'm 32 and just found out I was expecting my 6th child (5th pregnancy). I am due May 11th. I have four biological sons, and one adopted son. Their ages are 12, 10, 8, 7&6. My husband and I thought we were done having kids but then this little one surprised us. I've been watching the boards since I joined the site a few days ago, and am excited that it is finally letting me post! I hope to get to know everyone and make some new friends.

Hello all! I got a BFP at the end of August, EDD is May 4th or 5th. I currently have 2 daughters, a 18 month old and a 7 year old. DD #2 was born with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia and currently has cardiomyopathy, though she is doing very well, so anyone that may have questions about NICU/infant surgery/cardio issues feel free to hit me up for a chat!
I have had very different experiences TTC. I got pregnant quickly with #1, #2 took us a year and I had a loss in June of this year. After taking one cycle off and was lucky enough to get a BFP first cycle back in the game.
I have had 2 failed attempts at natural childbirth, ending in c-sections... so this time around we are scheduling the c-section and I actually happy to have a solid plan.
Hi guys! I'm really excited to be here! I got my first BFP 10dpo after my 2nd round of Clomid, but was in disbelief so I tested like a thousand times in the next few days just to make sure. I just got my first beta back today, so it finally feels real. I was on TTGP on and off since February, but I wasn't active for the past few weeks (the new school year was kicking my butt). I teach 2nd grade, I have a cat and a dog, and I like to knit! ETA- My EDD is May 22

Hey @thedawkterswife I'm married to a resident too! PMR- he just started his second year and life is sooooooooo much easier. That'll be such awesome timing for you guys finishing training this summer right after baby!
Hi everyone! I'm a STM; my DD will be 2 in November. I got my unexpected BFP on 9/9 with an unofficial EDD of 5/18. I was very active on the Nov 2015 board and will do my best to contribute here as well.
I'm a working mom and so shocked and excited to go through this again, especially when we thought we were OAD!
Hi all! My name is Ranita & I live in south LA with my husband, and 2 sons (one step one biological) ages 7 & 1 1/2. I just got my BFP on 9/11 (3 days before next period) and am so super excited (we have been trying since July) & EDD is 5/22. I go for my first appt next week!
My name is Amanda. I'm a STM with a 14 month old DS. We live in northern Virginia and I'm a SAHM. I love it most days...except when DS decides not to nap. I was active on the TTC board from May-Oct 2015 and then on the June 2016 BMB. A ton of us moved over to Facebook and are extremely close. I've met a few of them in person and they've been an amazing support network. I'd be lost without those ladies.
We started TTC for #2 in May and feel very lucky to have gotten a positive after 5 cycles. Although I'm pretty sure I had a CP in June with a few faint positive tests for a couple of days. Our first took 9 cycles and a surgery for DH to tie up a couple large varicocele veins and it seemed to work!
I hope to be active on here but it is hard to sit down for a minute and do anything since DS hardly ever lets me! My DD is May 26th based on ovulation. I got a faint positive at 8 DPO and my lines are getting darker each day so I'm getting more hopeful but tomorrow is my predicted period so we'll see. I didn't temp this cycle but did use OPKs and tracked CM so I'm 99% sure of when I ovulated.
I hope everyone has a happy and healthy 9 months!

Hi everyone! I'm pregnant with my second estimated to be due May 13. I'm the mommy of a 15 month old girl. I'm a high school teacher and fortunately I am part time this year. I wanted more work/life balance after a crazy year juggling an infant and teaching and pumping. We decided to go for baby #2 and got pregnant the first cycle much to our surprise. Looking forward to being a part of this group!
Hey there! Yes, some fellow June 16 Mama's! Doesn't it feel just like yesterday we were posting over there about our first? Crazy how fast time flies! Cheers to round 2!
Hi everyone! I got my BFP on August 30. My last period was 7/19 so my estimated due date was 4/25/17. I went for my first appointment/US yesterday and was told that I am measuring at 6 weeks so my new due date is 5/7/17! This is my first pregnancy so I'm excited/nervous. The only people I have told is my husband and twin sister. I work as a PA and enjoy reading, kayaking, and hiking.
@arteduc8 and @artlea2013 , great to see familiar faces! It feels like we had our babies yesterday! Can't believe they are TODDLERS! Congrats to you both!

Hi all - sorry for the late start! I am 30, first pregnancy, and just hit 5 weeks today! My husband and I are very excited, and terrified at the same time.
I teach nursing full-time at a state university and still work per diem at a local hospital in a step down unit.
I have a 22 year old horse, that I have had since he was 7 (my first baby!) who I am still actively riding - any other horse lovers out there?!
Looking forward to getting to know you all, and learning from everyone on the crazy adventure!
Hi ladies. Man it feels like it took forever to finally be able to post. I got my BFP on Friday 9/8 based on LMP I was 3w5d at time of positive. So today I'm 4w2d super early super nervous first doc appt is on oct 5
mom of two boys 5 and 3 fostering my nephew and neice 4 and 7mo.
I just found out I'm pregnant with baby number 2 and couldn't be more excited! I got my BFP last Friday but I'm only 4w 2d along, or at least that's what I'm told, according to my LMP. I'm already a mother to a crazy little two year old who I know is just going to be the best big brother. I'm also 35 years old, so I guess that's puts me in high risk territory.
Anyways, looking forward to sharing and growing with you all over the next 9 months!
DH and I are super excited. I'm struggling to keep him quiet about it. First time around, he was practically shouting from the rooftops as soon as those 2 lines showed up. Hoping he can at least make it to our first appointment this time. It's not looking promising

Welcome to the old lady club! We have AMA check ins on Sunday. Some of us are bitter we're considered old because we all know we're not old at 35. Sorry that was me projecting.
So I'm kind of introducing myself. Kind of. I don't know if I'm truly joining but I just want to vent because it's inappropriate on TTGP for me to discuss this (which is where I've usually been hanging out).
Hello. I'm a veteran from TTGP from 13-15 and was active on the March 15 BMB (I have a 2.5 year old son who will be 3 in February but his EDD was 03/07/15. Little bugger couldn't wait so he arrived 5 weeks early, an extra large preemie at 6 pounds 5 ounces). I'm gay. Not that it matters but it'll explain why I keep talking about my wife, who is now in the hot seat of TTC now that my turn is done.
She had an IUI on 09/03. For the past few days she says she's been feeling nauseous so we've been taking HPTs. Yesterday she had what appeared to be a darker Walmart cheapie test so we got excited but it was still one of those stupid gray lines that's indeterminate. She took a FRER and this ensued:
Me: There's a line! There's a line, and it's PINK!!! DW: Where? Me: THERE! (pointing at said tiny, barely-visible pink line) Next to the smudge! DW: *stares for five seconds* Oh, yeah, I see it. ME: YAY!!!!
Now this is one of those things where you look at it and it's only visible if you really stare. I don't like thinking we have a BFP until you can look straight at the test and not have to twist it and turn it in a bright light to see anything.
This morning I was all excited for her to take a cheapie again in the hopes that it would be darker and a clear, visible line as opposed to the gray smudge we usually see. She took the test and... nothing just the same kind of indentish-gray line that she got yesterday.
FRER is usually more reliable so she took the digital to be safe but that was negative, too. But the digital ones don't really pick it up until the line is fairly visible, right?
I don't know... I guess we just have to wait but my hopes were super high last night and now they're kind of crushed today. Like it was my imagination. Such a mind-fucker. I hate it. She's going to keep testing but I'm not very hopeful because really, the line should be getting darker if it's a true BFP.
Don't know what I'm looking for here... just a place to express my frustrations with the process I guess. Having access to early HPTs is a double-edged sword. It's cool to find out if you're pregnant several days before you're missed period, but it turns those of us who are TTC into nutty people.
