I got my BFP this afternoon and am still processing, but hopped on over here ASAP because I knew that seeing the community I'm about to be a part of would make me feel happier. It did!
My husband and I have a beautiful O15 girl and are excited for her to have a sibling some time soon, but are limiting ourselves to "cautiously optimistic" thanks to two losses prior to our daughter's birth.
I'm 32 and currently working as an adjunct in English and History at the University where I'm getting my PhD. Fortunately, unlike the last pregnancy, I'm only working part-time, so I will probably be around a lot! I'm a former dedicated member of the O15 board - omg, hi @millette2015!!! missed you!!! - who fell off the continuing alternate board when we gave up internet for a year. (Should check back in, though, as it sounds like it's still going! @millette2015, can't believe it but I think I lost the link! Can you PM it to me?)
Looking forward to making this journey with all you lovely ladies! Stray strong, PGAL gals!
Hi everyone! Got my BFP today! I have a daughter who will be two in December, and I am a Nurse Practitioner. This was only our first cycle trying so I'm still a bit in shock, but excited!! I can't wait to meet everyone!
Hi everyone. I'm in BC Canada and I'm due with my second on May 4. I'm still nursing and definitely feeling a lot of second time mom guilt. Looking forward to chatting with you all

Sorry I didn't see this -- I have no clue how to get notifications on the bump, lol. We changed platforms since we last talked (I think?). I'll send you a p.m.
Hello! I'm a TTM with boys ages 5.5 and 4. EDD May 10- which works really well as I'm a 5th grade teacher. In my free time (LOL) I love to run and read. Looking forward to getting to know everyone!
@k5678 I'm May 11 and an elementary school SLP... I'm so excited to be able to basically take sick time to summer and have over 12 weeks all paid!!! So happy the timing "worked out" for us.
It will be perfect- I have 13 days of sick leave, and 13 school days after May 10. Now just to get all the way to my due date and not go into labor during class!
Hi! Army wife who is geo-single and living in Indiana, KU with #3! Have April13 and August10 babies... used to hang here in the old days. Current EDD is May 13.
I'm a media specialist/school librarian and I commute over an hour to work every day so I'm sliiiiightly worried about how that will go with MS. Definitely in the market for tips. I've never had any luck getting ahead of my nausea and it makes me a miserable rag lol.
@libfish825 I also had a hour commute with my last and was worried about nausea and needing to pee! The only thing that helped me was having a bunch of different snacks and water in the car with me. Luckily it never got too bad, I hope the same is true for you!
Thanks @char245! I think I'll end up with major snack stockpiles in the car and at work! I'm doing a Whole30 so it'll be almonds and larabars all the way!
It will be perfect- I have 13 days of sick leave, and 13 school days after May 10. Now just to get all the way to my due date and not go into labor during class!
I've been in the same district for 9 years, and even after going on mat leave for 44 days with my first, I still have 75 sick days accumulated as I start this year. Lol. Bring on the snow days this year!
Hi ladies! I'm excited to be here I got my BFP on 11DPO with an EDD of May 11. I'm a school counselor and mommy to a 2.5 year old boy. We got lucky on our 3rd cycle of trying and just in time for me to be able to maximize summer break into maternity leave which I am super grateful for. I was part of the March '15 board, although our little man came a little early in February. I don't remember a whole lot about being pregnant and newborn stuff---like whenever people ask things about "firsts" for my son I can't ever recall---so I don't feel like a super prepared STM. Maybe it will all come back to me, heh. I am anxious for my first appt and ultrasound on October 3rd! I'll try to keep up around here, but the school year has me like already...
Hey all, I am a STM, SAHM, Volunteer with my 6yr old DS school. I am 30, SO is 27. This was our second month trying, based on my average cycle of 29 days and being pretty sure that I ovulated on the 19th(15th day of cycle), my LMP started 8/4. So I am fairly sure that my Due Date will be May 12th, 2018! Coincidentally my birthday. I haven't made my first appointment yet, I was planning on calling tomorrow but it's a holiday, so Tuesday, I am hoping to have a first appointment date! I got the ok earlier this month from my primary care doctor that i was in great health so I am hoping I have that on my side but I am a worrier and just hope this lil one sticks. This will be our last kiddo. My son's pregnancy was really rough, I had too many issues, including pre eclampsia, hence why it took 6 yrs for us to try for a second. I will be opting for a scheduled C/S as well. I had 1 heck of a L&D with my son, ending in an emergency C/S after 36hours, and being stuck at a 9cm for 6+hours, he couldn't descend into the birth canal, big head and being a 9lb4ounce, only 18.5inch long at 38weeks... i was actually a lucky one, i knew many mommys who had to deliver earlier. sorry if I scare any FTMs but I am prepared this time, and look forward to any information on lowering my risk of developing pre-eclampsia again. I am excited but cautious and nervous as well. A lot more confident this time as well. Good luck to all the mommies and I look forward to getting to know all of you!
Hey guys, I'm a STM. My son just turned 1yr. EDD is May 14th. I want to try to be more active on this birth month than I was on my last. Sorry I'm pretty shy and I hate writing.
@Kendrajos I'll be a RCS as well. My first was past due, long induction, too big (9 lbs 5 oz) and ended with a CS. #2 was suppose to be a RCS at 39 weeks but was a CS at 38+3 because I was showing signs of pre eclampsia. If you have any info on preventing pre eclampsia I'd love to chat! It's my number one question for my OB but I don't see him until 10 weeks.
@dinonugget my primary care doctor mentioned that things have changed in the 6-7 yrs since I was last pregnant and there might be benefits to baby aspirin taken to prevent pre-eclampsia or at least lower the risks and I should ask my OB about it when I make an appointment. So that is on my to-do-list. I don't know if there is any validity to this yet but I plan on asking the OB at my first visit(not scheduled yet) might be something to look into though, and if I am able to see my OB before you see yours, I will definitely let you know what I find out!
Hi everyone! I'm 35, new to the Bump app and super happy to be 5w4d into my husband's and my very 1st Pregnancy! We are both nurses but don't do the OB side of nursing so we're learning on this journey! I'm looking forwars to a wonderful pregnancy journey and a positive experience on this community site.
Welcome, ladies! @createmagic14 It's my third year being an SLP in the district and I have 32 days... I figure I may have to use a few for doctors appointments and if baby comes early I may have to take a week or two unpaid but it really does line up perfectly! (We typically go until the third week of June after snow days so I'm also rooting for lots this year!)
@lifeisnot2fear nice to see another school employee that's nkt necessarily a teacher joining the mix!
Hello ladies! I'm new to The Bump. I have a beautiful 16 month old daughter and just got my BFP on 8/27. My due date is estimated to be 5/6 which is one day off from my first pregnancy due date. I'm secretly hoping they don't share a birthday! Congratulations to all!
Hello all! This is my second pregnancy, EDD is 5/7/2018. I testsed one day before my missed period and that line was DARK!!! My son was born Jan 2016 so nervous and excited to have 2 little ones running around!
@Kendrajos thank you! I remember hearing about that too. I'm just hoping to make it all the way to 39 weeks because DS2 ended up in the nicu for a day and a half because of breathing problems at birth.
Hi everyone! Just got my BFP this morning and I couldn't be more excited and nervous all at the same time! I'm a STM my DS is 19 months (how did that happen so fast!?) My EDD is May 5th which is perfect timing since my husband is a teacher and will just have a couple weeks of school left. I'm a WAHM selling LuLaRoe which keeps me incredibly busy.

I lost my first baby at 9 weeks so I think I'll be a basket case until I make it to week 10. I know many of you are in the same boat so I'm glad we have a sisterhood of support here ❤️
Hi All! I got my BFP yesterday. EDD is 5/12 for my second. We have a son who just turned two 8/31. I was on the bump my first time around but only lurked. This time I'm excited to join in on the community and stay active. Congrats everyone!
Hey Ladies! I am a FTM. Got my BFP 10 DPO on 9/1! My edd is 5/15/18. I "just knew" i was pregnant before i took my first test. I am excited to become a mom. I work in child protective services which is stressfull most of the time. I am working on managing my stress from work to have thw healthiest pregnancy i can. I cant wait to get to know you all and congrats to you!
@jbeckley120 I also work in child protective services. It's a very stressful job and I'm not sure about your position but I have to work much overtime which is more difficult now pregnant.
Hello, ladies!! I'm a FTM and got my BFP on September 1 (13dpo) after 16 cycles of trying. EDD of 5/14/2018! I've been active on TB since June 2016. DH and I will be celebrating our 8th anniversary in a few weeks and have been together for almost 16 years (HS sweethearts)! Looking forward to getting to know you all!

Hi ladies! I got my BFP on Sunday at 10dpo yaay! My EDD is May 17th which seems like an eternity away atm, I'm sure you all feel the same. *TW* This is my second pregnancy after a MMC in June at 12 weeks - My little Turners girl.. **END TW** I've been quite positive since my BFP but it's literally only been 2 days so we'll see how my anxiety holds up! Looking forward to getting to know you all xx
Hello! I am a STM with a 22 month old boy. I am due May 8 (but delivered at 41 weeks last time so who knows). I am a Chiropractor in Des Moines and specialize in prenatal and pediatrics.
Hi all! I'm a TTM and mainly SAHM to two girls. They were born march14 and nov15 so I'm feeling a little insane to be doing this again. I think my due date will be May 14!
I am Jenni. I used to be super-active on the boards here 5 years ago, but my original birth group moved to FB (DEC 12 mommas are the best. Be jealous.) and the nest had the big exodus, I just never came back. Until now.
I have a 4 year old daughter who is the best. She is so unique. She says she's a vampire, likes zombies, and loves to read.
I have PCOS and so for both DD and this lo, I had to go through infertility treatments. 2 rounds of IUI's for DD, and 6 for this one. I literally have my beta draw the day before I leave for my vacation! Talk about timing!
I am a wedding photographer and school librarian. I will for sure have my hands full. I thankfully don't have any weddings booked in May, but I do have one EARLY June. Yikes! But I will wait a little longer before starting to change plans and all that.

Hi there. So I haven't been on TB in what feels like a million years but I'm an oldie. Looks like a lot has changed around here. It's a bit disconcerting but we'll see what happens. I have a 6yo DD and 4yo DS. I had a loss before my daughter and another in April. So suffice it to say, I'm kind of a wreck. After my loss this spring my doc told me to come in if I'm not KU again in 3-4 months. I made the appointment in July and hoped I would go in Friday and tell him I was KU. Well I didn't. I was testing all week but nothing. We talked options since I'm AMA and have had two losses now. (I also had high risk pregnancies with the kids.) Then he drew blood. That motivated me to test myself and I got a positive. Then he called me and confirmed with a number of 17. I had a redraw yesterday so hopefully my number is amazing when I hear today. The number was low but I was only 3w6d on Friday so it was early no matter what. I'm a neurotic mess with PgAL brain. I told DH that this was our last go no matter the outcome. I just can't keep having my heart broken. So I really hope this one sticks and I take home a baby come May. EDD is 5/13.
Hi everyone! I just got my BFP yesterday afternoon - and it was a shocker! I'm actually about to head to a blood draw for quantitative hCG since my cycles must be off... Otherwise there is no way I could have gotten pregnant! I'm cautiously optimistic for my EDD of May 19.
This will be my third baby, but fourth pregnancy after a very early miscarriage this past Easter. I have a 4 year old named Kate who was born by emergency c-section at 27 weeks and 4 days due to severe pre-ecclampsia. She spent three months in NICU, and came home on her due date. I had hyperemesis gravidarum while pregnant with her in addition to the pre-e. She is quite a fighter, we call her our Little Viking! I also have a 3 year old son named Andy who was early term (right at 37 weeks by c-section). I had moderate pre-ecclampsia for the second half of my pregnancy with him, and got it full blown post partum. HG was thankfully well controlled with medication, though!
This time around, I'm praying and hoping for a calm, uneventful pregnancy (fingers crossed), and will be looking into a VBA2C.
Okay, that was crazy long, sorry. Anyway, I'm really excited to be back on the Bump - I made a lot of great friendships still lasting today with the November 2013 board, and a few from September 2014, and I'm looking forward to getting to know all of you!
Hugs @sparkymcgeee - I told DH if this baby isn't sticky, I don't think we will try again. A woman can only endure so much. Here's to hoping this is a sticky, healthy, normal pregnancy for us both (and everyone else here, of course).
Hi everyone! I just got my BFP last night and I'm due May 8th. DH and I have been trying for about a year and a half with no luck and were starting to talk about booking an appointment. Hadn't planned on testing, I have been charting/tracking the last 4 months or so because I just needed a break. Something told me I needed to check, DH said he started thinking it was going to be a BFP a few days ago.
This is the second child for each of us, first together. I have my DS who is 6, DH has my DSS who is 8 and now our surprise on the way!
We haven't told anyone yet and I'm dying to, but I want to get betas back at least before we tell our parents and our boys we're going to wait until I'm showing so we'll see where that puts us.
Can't wait to get to know everyone!

I have an u/s tomorrow (my birthday!!) to find out how many weeks I am and to find out if the baby is ok. I have no idea when I ovulated, as I was on the pill after having my IUD removed in June. My best guess at this point is May 10th! I got my BFP on Thursday of last week, and it came up very quickly and very dark!
I'm just hoping that then appointment tomorrow goes well and my little Bean is ok!
