Anyone starting September FET?

Re: Anyone starting September FET?

  • HI girls.
I tested yesterday  (7dp5dt) with the cheapie HPT and it showed BFN.
I then tested with a Clearblue and first Response and it showed BFP. I don't know what to think because the cheap test showed a very very faint second  line that I haven't even noticed at first. I re-tested this morning and the line was even less noticeable.
Taking in the consideration that I have transferred two, my level of HPT should be though the roof, but those tests can hardly detect it. And the fact that the line is fainting day by day just makes me more worried. Im trying to think positive though - maybe I had a late implantation or those tests are just crap.
I keep cramping, but no spotting though! (thats good, because Im scared it might be CP). I just want Monday to come (my beta). Need some support.

  • Cinnamonn girl its still super early!!  I have to chime in with the twin factor and your levels being through the roof.  I did get my first bfp ever with twins and I can tell you my line was a super squinter, very faint so dont think that.  I thought the same way and when i got my beta it was a lil high since i did a 3day transfer so I thought maybeeeeee there was more then one but we had to wait and see.

Did you test with first morning urine?  And lastly cheap test are certainly crap BUT I usually here clear blue takes longer to show a bfp...so I definitely think you're totally still in it!  Hang in there!!!

  • @Hopeful_mom Thank you so much for your support, your message was much needed. Im sorry you have lost your twins..infertility is such an emotional rollercoaster, you never know what to expect. I did test in the morning, I did one last night and it didn't even show the second line. But your message calmed me down, you're right, its still early. We will wait and see!

  • @Cinnamonn thinking of you and sending good vibes for great news tomorrow.  I'm sorry the tests aren't more reassuring but it is still so early.  Hang in there!!

  • Are you ready for this sh@t!!  My E2 is not at 200 and has dropped from 172 to 147  :s ugh!!!!  WTH!!!!

Frustrated doesn't even begin my feelings right now!!  So they're changing my protocol to still taking 3mg of estrace but 1 vaginally at night UGH seriously, i'm so not a fan of that, but whatever!  This now pushes me till at least next week as I first go back wed for monitoring!  I'm so angry!  My lining is fine but who knows if its going to happen this month or not....

I hate this roller coaster ride, I really was expecting to get the go ahead!

@Cinnamonn still holding out hope you just got started!!  hoping for a great beta tomorrow!!!  Do you take another clear blue or just the cheapies?

  • @cinnamonn as others said, it's way too early to get accurate results so I wouldn't get too worried. Try not to stress out about it (easier said than done!) I've made myself crazy like this in the past, so I just wait for my appointment instead of spending money to lose my mind, lol. Best wishes for your bfp though!!
  • @hopefulmom Do you know why they've had you taking Estrace orally this whole time? I've read a ton on boards and RE websites and it seems like the general consensus is that vaginal Estrace is preferred because it more directly delivers the estrogen and it doesn't have to go through the entire body and lose effectiveness when processed by the liver. Drawbacks are that it completely BLOWS having blue goo coming out of you all day but it at least seems to boost the E2. I'm not trying to frustrate you, I promise. Just, maybe look into doing all your Estrace vaginally maybe? For three days they had me on Estrace 3x/day, Endometrin 2x/day and Cleocin ovules at night. Now it's just the Estrace and Endometrin. I'm up my own junk more than my RE at this point and it sucks but it seems to be working.

@Cinnamonn good luck tomorrow. I hope you have a high beta. Best wishes
@Hopeful_mom so sorry your not getting the go ahead just yet. I hope the extra medicine helps quickly.
  • Just got the green light for transfer tomorrow. Considering I never got past 5.9 last cycle and I had uterine fluid, I was astonished to hear my lining is at 9.86. I literally burst into tears on the table when she told me. So please send all applicable juju, mojo or magic my way!

Also, has anyone ever lost their $hit at a nurse because you're so hopped up on hormones?

I definitely did today after getting called 45 minutes after my appointment time at 7:30 am. To make matters worse I was called by the nurse who measured my lining wrong last cycle (she admitted on the phone to me that she wasn't as good at ultrasounds as the NPs) and gave us tons of hope and it turns out she read the ultrasound results wrong by more than 2 mm and we were canceled the next day. The RE had to show her how to get an accurate lining measurement when fluid was present!!

So when I saw her face my blood pressure immediately shot through the roof and I felt hot and she introduced herself and I said "I remember you. You're the one who sucks at ultrasound." She was like "suck at ultrasound?!" and I said "yes, you told me you weren't as good as some of the others and my reading was off by more than 2 mm and we ended up canceled." Then she tried to take my blood (appointment was only for a scan), I refused, and she ended up leaving and having a different nurse come in to do the u/s. New nurse came in hesitantly, as if I was going to freak out, and I basically told her, look, the last time she measured me she did it wrong and I don't fully trust her to do this. Plus we're 45 minutes late.

I was like a wild animal, seriously. I'm sort of ashamed about how I acted (I told nurse #2 to apologize to her) but I've literally been on pins and needles all weekend, I'm seen almost an hour late, and you give me the ultrasound flunky? No. Nope.
  • @sarcasticowl  Best of luck for your transfer tomorrow. Regarding the crappy U/S nurse... you are a client of theirs and it's their job to keep you happy and to not screw up your measurements.  You (and/or your insurance) are paying an arm and a leg for their care... there shouldn't be any major errors.

With that being said, I did lose my cool one time years ago when I was going through my IUI's.  Apparently they somehow lost the consents that my husband signed, and he is such a PITA about signing in the first place.  Anyway, they notified me THE DAY OF THE IUI that they needed him to re-sign the consent forms before we could proceed.  If that wasn't bad enough, the receptionist forgot about me in the waiting room... She basically never called my name because she "didn't see me."  I was just sitting in the corner chair of the room though.  So I had to wait an extra 2 hours for that appointment.  Needless to say, I was livid by the time it was all over.  I ended up leaving in tears and filed a complaint about their office staff later.  Thankfully that was only a temporary arrangement (my main office was closed for repairs at the time).

@Crystal321 You were definitely right to file a complaint after that. I would have been bawling, too. And when no one even thinks to apologize to you or squeeze you in and they make you wait two hours?? I'd lose my mind right there in the waiting room.

The worst part about this experience for us so far is that our RE's office is incredibly busy. They're the main office in a four-office statewide practice and they have far more clients than they can actually handle, especially on a Monday morning. We travel from an hour away, getting up at 5:00 am to get there at 7:30, and when we got there the parking lot was totally full, there was hardly anywhere to sit in the waiting room, and we're already totally worried about what we're going to find out. This place seems to just let any any all people pick their appointment times and they just get to you when they get to you and I think it finally got to me that I just feel like cattle waiting to be milked. I really miss going to a doctor who remembers me, seeing the same person consistently... each time I go it's a different nurse, I rarely see the RE, and I start doubting that anyone really is looking out for my best interest.

Of course, these are the emotional ramblings of a hyper-hormonal lady, but still...
  • @sarcasticowl I'm so sorry you had a  lousy appointment but the good news is how thick your lining is, awesome! So glad you got the go ahead. I understand your emotions with your nurse. I know my emotions are going crazy today because all the sudden, transfer is tomorrow. I can't believe it, we made it! I'm so nervous! I bit my husband's head off this morning when he was trying to give me a shot. He wants to do the shots how he wants to and it's not about him. I'm sure this is hormones and nerves making me lash out at him but all the sudden things got real. Hoping everything goes well for us both tomorrow!❤️
@Cinnamonn  patiently waiting to hear your news. Lots of positive thoughts about your beta.
  • @hopeful_mom that's discouraging to hear that your estrogen level dropped but don't panic!  I'm hoping the medication regimen can help.  I'm no expert but I'm pretty sure an extended period of time on estrogen will not impact the cycle.  Once you start progesterone you have a window for transfer but prior to with a medicated cycle there is wiggle room.
@sarcasticowl whohooo!!  So awesome to hear about your lining!!  Sounds like a nice cozy spot for an embryo to implant.  What a nightmare about that nurse.  I'm glad you had a different one today after scaring the crappy one off.  Haha.  Ok so lots of good vibes for tomorrow!
@amynico good luck tomorrow!!  Thinking of you and @sarcasticowl
I too am super emotional.  I can cry so easily, like at commercials and my husband has been referring to me as an angry elf so there's that.
  • I'm really cracking up laughing at all us! It's funny how the little things are sending us over the top. My husband had started referring to all other men as "your boy" wth my husband is my boy and no other man! I'm not even sure why or where he got that but I'm over it. Lol
  • I don't mean to laugh and offend anyone... just glad I'm not alone with having all these emotions.
  • @sarcasticowl  yay the day is here!! So exciting to get to transfer!  Sending you all the sticky vibes your way!! Sorry your appt was rough!  But glad you got the go ahead!  Its frustrating that she doesn't even remember who you are.

Crystal321 OMG how does that happen for an IUI when you have to be so precise with the timing of everything!

I'm listening to the both of you and i have to say I don't know if its because i've bee through this and with my clinic for soooo long that they all know me.  But I love my tech that does my US, granted I don't love all of them and there is one that measures me wrong as well...so much so that the RE had to be called in and give her a lesson as well.  Odd for me as this was the first time i was meeting this RE but it had to be done.  I'm trying to remember how it first was for me in the beginning they really are nice...even though I had some hiccups too BUT you guys beat me.  I had to wait 2 hrs on a sunday morning for monitoring which was not pleasant and I have to make sure they remember me at times too.  I'm usually running late for my appt and of coure the one time i was early they forgot to put me in correctly to the system and my RE still thought I was late.  They do try hard by me to stick to their appt.

Thanks for the support ladies, very appreciated!!  I think my freak out is more if I'm missing My "receptive time"  The fact that its medicated helps getting the ideal time which is the point.  We have in our heads that our body just has the one moment it can become pregnant so its hard to forget that aspect. You get this calendar and look at it by law and if you deviate from it you then halt and get nervous.  Its not like the calendar does has extra boxes saying it can go 5 days later and that its ok too....I think thats why i'm so concerned over it.  Everyone get a date and pretty much stick to it...its the ladies that got a date and then it was delayed did they still have success.  Its a tricky thing and knowing you have this one chance you don't want anything to jeopardize it.

On the emotional front i am too emotional but I have no time at all for BS!!  Like I just rather not talk to the person!

Mewkie I'm hoping you're right!!  I think thats why i'm overly nervous and upset about it!  Thinking that the extra few days could screw things up.  It sounds like the progesterone days are the most important!!  Lets hope my lining and E2 will cooperate on the next round.  Also upset that i'm pretty sure my RE's LAST DAY if baby doesn't come early wouldve been friday which then means someone else.  When you've been through so much its very hard to have someone that really doesn't know your struggle do a transfer.  I feel like they wont be as invested and i'll be a nervous wreck!

amynico you're up tomorrow too - such a busy week i'm now jealous i'm not apart of it  :s sending you super sticky vibes too!!  hoping everything will go smoothly for you!!

  • @mewkie Angry Elf LOLOL. Funny but not funny. My DH called me "borderline cruel" after the nurse incident and I was like "you should just stop talking now. Not okay." I really didn't recognize myself. It was like some kind of schizophrenic hyena came over me. I've spent my whole life working in "customer service" and I never lash out at people, even when I'm super frustrated.

@amynico That is so fantastic, congrats on making it to the transfer. It's crazy how it sneaks up on you, right? Fingers crossed that 9/12 is a good day for both of us.

@hopefulmom Hang in there. Getting the cycle extended sucks. You get this idea in your head of how it's going to go and then it doesn't and it's like all of a sudden you need to second guess everything. I've read other posts on other boards about women who needed a little extra time with building lining and most of them ended up getting to a transfer date. I'm not sure if what I did this time helped, but I did take 800 mg of vitamin E and 1,000 mg of L-Arginine every day and tried to drink more water (I'm terrible at drinking water), and I had about 6-8 oz of pomegranate juice every day. I also work a desk job and I read somewhere that being sedentary all day is bad for blood flow to the uterus so I tried to get up and walk once an hour, even if just down the hall. I'm sure the increased estrogen will do the trick, though.
  • @amynico good luck tomorrow... I won't let my husband give me any of the shots.  We would probably end up divorcing over it before it's all said and done, lol. Heaven help me if I do get pregnant and can't twist around well enough to continue doing them myself.
  • Hi ladies! My last checkup is Wednesday before FET. I started the PIO shots this part I dread @ night but we've been through a lot already... what's another shot! Just anxious, nervous & emotional about FET day!!
  • @Magallyta are you still scheduled for tomorrow? I feel ya on the shots, my poor booty hurts a lot! Good luck tomorrow! 3 of us! It's gonna be a lucky day! Super sticky embryos!

@amynico No mine will be on Thursday... good luck tomorrow keep us posted
  • @Mewkie  @Hopeful_mom @Crystal321 @amynico  Thank you for being so supportive girls! its Official BFP! My HPT is 499 (!!) and freaking cheapies still show one line. Please get rid of those and don't trust them! Ive never been pregnant and I can't believe this is happening. So many tears, meds and so much stress. So at this point I want to get through 3 months mark so I can "relax" and be sure it stays.

@Hopeful_mom Im sorry they keep changing your protocol! thats annoying. And vaginal Estrace is annoying (I take 8mg orally + 2mg vaginally). Infertility is annoying, but there is so little we can do (for the exception of staying positive) We're all strong here, we gotta do what we gotta do.  Actually, my last cycle was prolonged because of the lining and they still set up the date. but then 3 days before the transfer they saw a polyp so I had to go into surgery instead :/ otherwise it would have happened!

Its actually great that you are getting a new RE. Maybe you need changes? And Im sure all RE's know what woman feels during the transfer. Have a small talk before, express your feelings and expectations.

@sarcasticowl WoooHoo! Congrats! Tomorrow is the big day! good luck! How many are you transferring? Do you know the gender?

My opinion on the Nurse situation: She obviously messed up. Horribly. They are not supposed to give any opinions, only take measurements and send along to the doctor, she wasn't professional at all. And I totally understand why you flipped out, its so hard to control your emotions on hormones (my poor DH).But try and fill your life with positive energy, it is much needed right now. Try to ignore stupid people and don't let them in your life. And if this has happened, go straight to your doctor/manager and complain. You would probably not only get a relief, but a compensation as well )

@amynico. Good luck tomorrow! Let us know how it goes. Its weird to say that but... Sneezing on you with my pregnancy hormones lol. On all of you!

@Crystal321 How the heck do you inject yourself? I tried once - on my left side with my left hand (I'm right handed) and I ended up messing it up, with blood all over and leaving and a huge purple browse. My DH got scared when he saw it so from now on he's the one who does it.

@Magallyta Congrats, you are getting there! so the transfer is scheduled for Thursday? I thought its tomorrow? Do you know who you'll be transferring?

sarcasticowl Good luck with Transfer tomorrow! So exciting!! How many are you transferring?
@amynico Best of luck to you! Thinking of you girl! How many are you transferring? Sorry if I missed it.
Hopeful_mom So sorry for the delays. Just think - it must be worth it. You are making sure you baby has most perfect little place to call home. You would rather they do all they can to give the best chances. I get it though. There is far too much waiting in this whole process. Plus, you get a schedule set in your head and then when it changes it feels like such a set back.
Cinnamonn AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! CONGRATS! I am so happy for you! I wish I would have seen your message about the htp stress. I would have told you to trust to not to worry. • @JaeJayStark and @cinnamonn I'm transferring one PGS girl :) DH is one of 3 boys, he has 2 nephews, and I have two nephews. Need some estrogen in this fam! :)
  • @Cinnamonn CONGRATS!!!  Told you to not stress out!!! :)  But as for the shots, I don't know, I just lay down on the couch on one of my sides, move my hip towards me and stretch around to reach it, and inject... the bruising seems to get worse the more I tense up, so I do some breathing excercises to relax me. It really isn't that bad!
  • I can't believe this is happening my msg keeps getting cut off. Anyone know why this happens?
  • Oh @Cinnamonn I am so thrilled for you!!!  That's an amazing beta!  Congratulations.  I have some of those nasty cheapies.  Maybe I should chuck them!
@JaeJayStark good luck on your beta tomorrow and good luck for all of the ladies having transfers.  Tomorrow is a big day for September.
