Anyone starting September FET?

@amynico I'm happy to hear everything is moving along!  The 12th will be here before you know it.  Hopefully the holiday weekend goes fast for you.

@Crystal321 so close!  Hope you enjoy your last weekend out.  Fingers crossed it's the last one for a long time.  

@JaeJayStark I hear you on feeling so nervous right before transfer.  Feels like an incredible amount of pressure.  It's like you wait and wait for transfer day to be here but then it comes and it's terrifying!  Try to take it day by day if you can.  Otherwise it's so overwhelming.  We are here to vent to and talk it through with.  Hang in there!

Whoops I forgot to leave my update!
Baseline blood work was good.  Estrogen low and lining thin.  Strangely enough I didn't bleed after stopping the pill on Tuesday but my doctor thinks maybe because I had the hysteroscopy recently?  Also, she saw what may be a fibroid but it appears to be on the outside of the uterus.  I have never had one before.  She said not to worry about it at this point but I'm sure I will stress and ask about it at every appointment because I have to focus on something!!

JaeJayStark lmao i just posted on the August board to you wishing u luck!  Some of us on the june IVF are still keeping it going till we all get that bump!!  Funny that you, me and holls14 from that cycle are now close together again...hopefully its our time!!  you're up first its soooo exciting!  Are you transferring 2?

@JaeJayStark I feel great. The extra hormones never really bothered me (thank goodness). I am more anxious than anything else... Just praying it all turns out well because I really don't want to drop the money on PGS if this doesn't work out.

@Mewkie I understand what you mean when your going to ask about the fibroids every time. I had cyst that we were waiting to stop producing hormones before starting FET. I almost didn't start my FET because I wanted the best possible  scenario.They are still there and I ask about them every ultrasound.  My nurse actually told me, "you don't know what your talking about.  They won't affect you if they aren't producing hormones", I understand that but I just think the situation could be better without them... I chose to shut my mouth and go for the ride. That's my least favorite part about this whole process. I'm definitely type A and need to know why and when but during this process I have tried to let that go. They are the professionals even though sometimes they don't have great bedside manners. Just trying to go with the flow the best I can without shedding too many tears. What will be, will be. What God has in store for us, will happen. Like @JaeJayStark said, I am terrified for it all to be for nothing though. All the time, money, and shots... I am more terrified that I arrive at the clinic the day of transfer only to be sent away because our one little guy doesn't make the thaw. I can't even imagine the women on this board that have invested years of their lives to this. The strength that all of you have really inspires me to push on through and believe everything will be okay.

@amynico I was surprised - despite the much larger/deeper needle the PIO shots haven't been that bad so far. I asked DH to be there for the first one but then got scared and thought it would be easier to do myself. After breaking through skin it doesn't hurt at all. Maybe a tiny bit sore later in the day but very manageable. I've just been so tired, maybe from working nights maybe from meds but I slept past noon today which hasn't happened in years!

Hi Girls! I had my FET on Aug 31st but decided to jump on September board.
Everything went well during procedure, but when my husband was taking me home we got in a big fight (hormones, stress, etc.) so I ended up stressing and crying for 4 hours. When I called the doctor he said that its all hormones, its common and It won't harm the embryos. So my advice - prepare your husbands that you might be very, very hormonal that day.

I am now at bedrest till tomorrow and then my blood test in on Sept 11.

I wish you all the luck in the world and pray for your success

@Cinnamonn I'm so sorry that you had an argument with your husband on the day of your transfer. The hormones do evil things to us. Hopefully you have patched everything up and you are feeling much better. Can't wait to hear your news and how you're feeling about things as they come. Are you eating pineapple? Just heard about that and curious as to how many gals do it. 
@Medicallyblonde so great to hear about the shots! I will be using the same size needle as my other injection I've already been taking so sounds like if I can handle that one, I can handle this one.

@amynico No Pineapple needed when Im taking Progesterone Injections and Vaginally 3 times a day) +Estrogen and Prenatals
Have you decided with the number of embryos you are going to be transferring?

amynico I worry about ly lil one not thawing properly as well!  I know my lil love bug made it through one thaw so I have to pray its my super baby ready to go!!!

Cinnamonn yay congrats on being PUPO woohoo how exciting!!!  Looks like you transferred 2 from your siggy.  Are the pgs tested?  Do you have any frosties left?  Thrilled to here all went well!  Sending you all the super sticky vibes in the world!!

@Cinnamonn we ended up with 1 PGS tested normal, so he's our only shot to get it right. No pressure.

@amynico Well, as they say, it only takes one. One of my girlfriends had only one and they transferred it and it took. Now they have a healthy and super happy 9 month old boy.
But I feel you, this stupid pressure... all I can tell you is that you would have felt the same pressure no matter what) 

@hopeful_mom I remember you from one of the threads. Thank you for the kind words, we have transferred two boys and we have another two embryos set aside.

And I have read your story. All I can say - you are truly a Hero. Thank you for being so strong and for inspiring women like me. And one thing that I have learned in this life - If you truly want something, it will happen. Im sure there is sunshine coming your way.

And hey, girls, its LUCKY SEPTEMBER! This whole eclipse thing and the stars, its a very, very good period for dreams to come true

@cinnamonn love the LUCKY September moto!! what was more painful retrieval or transfer? I guess b/c there is no local anesthesia just want to know pain level. Thanks for heads up on hormones lol. I am going to get my 1st FET week of sept 12th will know exact this week. They are monitoring my lining & levels. 

Ladies, in between retrieval & fet did you limit yourself with drinking? I've had vacation , parties, weddings, etc & I guess I am trying to get my last licks in lol. No shots or anything I am more of a wine drinker. My doc said keep it in moderation.

@Magallyta. I have not had transfer yet, but it's nothing like retrieval!  More like and IUI or a pap. You might not even feel it!

Yes!  I had mine Friday.  Yesterday was still a little touch and gi, but I had to be at work regardless.  Today im feeling so much better!  Physically, anyeay.  Just anxious over our embies....

@Magallyta  The worst part of IVF is definitely the retrieval. Gives me shivers when I think of it! Thankfully we are all past that stage) Transfer is so pleasant and easy, basically the same thing as IUI, but instead of sperm they insert your snowflake(s).

When I was getting ready for a transfer I didn't limit myself in anything, just didn't get waisted lol) everything is acceptable in moderation.

AFM, was waiting for implantation bleeding (has to happen right around this time) but nothing yet, just mild cramping in the evenings. So trying not to stress myself out!

@Hopeful_mom I haven't been drinking Pom juice this cycle.  Figure I will wait and see what lining looks like and decide if I want to do it again.  I definitely have to clean up my diet!  I was good for a bit but past two weeks haven't been great and I would like to be eating a bit more healthy for the transfer.
@amynico how frustrating about the cysts you had prior to this cycle.  That's a rude thing for your nurse to say about not knowing what you're talking about.  Of course you are going to be concerned about them if they were almost a reason to cancel your cycle.  I hear you about wanting the "perfect" conditions.  I try to tell myself that people get pregnant naturally all the time in conditions that probably aren't perfect.  There are probably cysts and polyps and fibroids that they would never have known about prior to if they weren't being monitored like we are.  Not sure if it's entirely true but it makes me feel better!
@Cinnamonn welcome and congrats on your transfer of 2 boys!!  Would be so reassuring to see implantation bleeding but don't stress if you don't.  I think many women who get pregnant don't experience it.  Thanks for making the spreadsheet.  I'm going to try and add the info that I have.
@Magallyta I have done a few transfers now and they are much easier than retrievals.  I've even had a few technically difficult ones that still weren't painful.  Your body is done with the hard work for now!!  In terms of drinking I've had a few glasses of wine or beers on the weekends.  Thinking of cutting it out when I trigger.  
@BusinessWife congrats on your retrieval!  I hope you get great news in the next few days.  The waiting is the worst.  Try to hang in there and keep busy if you can.  My mom always tells me to organize a closet or something like that to keep my mind occupied when I'm waiting for something.

For those of you who've had transfers, did you do a special diet for implantation? I heard about the pineapple/core thing for after.

Cinnamonn so exciting you got to transfer 2, thats fantastic!  How are you feeling?  mild cramping seems right on point and so many don't experience implantation bleeding so I wouldn't worry too much about it.  Hope your lil princes are settling in nicely!  I am hoping the sunshine is on the way!!  I love your outlook for september let do this!!! we'll check out the spread sheet thanks!

Mewkie i hear you on trying to eat healthy this weekend i've indulged in it all for some reason, pizza and chocolate cake today alone  Did have the wine though ha!  I also try to tell myself the same thing about people who get preggers naturally under the worst conditions...people say i need to be stress free, i'm trying but people are stressed and jumping out of airplanes pregnant.  Its not suppose to be this tough!

@Magallyta people already gave you good advice, try not to stress the though part is over.  Try to just enjoy and relax.  I dont eat great but booze is the one thing i stay away from for whatever reason.
I've done and plan on doing the pineapple core for after transfer, i hear avocado and brazillain nuts can help too.  Will also have acupuncture before and after the transfer.

@hopefulmom oh thank you will look up the avocado & braz nuts. I am currently doing acupuncture which has been wonderful. I've been trying to follow along but where are you in this process, waiting fet day?

@Mewkie  I guess we just need to look at things differently than most. This is our "perfect" conditions and time. Everything fell into place for it to be happening now. It may have taken longer to get here and the road was tougher to climb but here we are, about to transfer. It's our time and it's our PERFECT! ❤️ Good luck to you, and to everyone here!

@Magallyta you are going on the 12th as well? Yay! I am drinking the POM now to help with the lining. It was at 9.3 last Friday so I only hope it gets better. I go in on Wednesday to check again. I might not do the pineapple. I might listen to my acupuncturist and only eat warm foods and liquids during 2ww. My DH and I were in the kitchen most of yesterday, meal prepping for when I'm on bedrest. It was nice to have his help and spend time with him.

@Magallyta I don't personally buy into the different foods to help different stages. If it helps you have peace of mind, go for it. If it stresses you out, forget about it.

TW: I have had one successful IVF (resulted in healthy baby), and one successful FET (resulted in miscarriage, but the embryo did stick). I never changed my eating. I just ate healthy-ish and drank only water and milk (doctor told me to give up caffeine)

Magallyta amynico yes i remember my acupuncturist telling me to eat only warm food as well.  So for my pineapple drink i didn't really add ice the way i wanted too.  I will do the pineapple since i did it last time.  I go in on the 8th to check my lining and levels.  Today is my last day on 2mg of estrace tomorrow I up it to 3mg.  I think once I take my first PIO shot it will start to feel real!

Crystal321 wonderful hearing success thats always exciting!!  Sorry for your loss thats always the worst especially through this process.  Sorry if you already mentioned how many frosties do you have left?  when are you set to transfer?  you just did your final last hoorah so it should be soon?

@Magallyta Honestly, when you take a bunch of hormones (Im not sure what your treatment is, but I'm on Estrace and Progesterone in Oil+Vaginal) I don't think Pineapple will do much)) And if it did, Im sure they would have prescribed it. But thats just my opinion. Acupuncture though I've heard helps really well, not only for fertility issues, but  general wellbeing. 

@Hopeful_mom haha your post made me laugh! And so did that picture, seriously though, Im sure all of us heard this "great advice" at least 20 times.

@Cinnamonn Good to see ya! Sorry you had a fight with the hubby. I totally get it. For some reason it's driving me bonkers when my parents and hubby would talk about my transfer but call it implantation. I would explain that is a specific part of the process but not the same as transfer. It enrages me. I blame hormones for sure. Thanks for the google sheet. Pretty exciting that you transferred two! What made you decide on two?

AFM - Sorry I was MIA. Frozen transfer went great. Pretty easy except the whole having to pee part. We transferred one day 5/6 high quality embryo. Now for the wait. My first IVF wait. Good thing it's shorter than the TWW.

Hi all! Lots of action over the weekend our board is buzzing. Just had one final ultrasound this morning lining is now 9.2 and I'm all set for transfer tomorrow. Barely slept last night because I was convinced something would go wrong. Getting to sleep tonight will be torture. Can't believe transfer day is tomorrow. Good luck to all so excited for everyone!
