WAYDTGKU: BBT (when I remember), CM/CP (also when I remember), pnv's, HIO, probably gonna try out some opks starting mid-week

    R/R: rant - nah.
    rave -
Hopefully this week at work will go better and I'll be able to check back in more regularly.  TW had a friends baby shower on Saturday, totally rubbed the preggo belly for good uterus ju-ju ;) End TW. Finally got DH to HIO last night and FX everyone is safe from all the horrible weather in the South.

    CS/Q: not atm

GTKY:  What was the best part of your weekend? Is there anything you're looking forward to this week?
Hmm, I can't even answer my own GTKY.  TW The baby shower was surprisingly fun.  I'm glad we went to it.  Friend was very appreciative and loved DH's contribution to the gift - captain america wrapping paper and duct tape.  I'm working on a new project for the parents to be (taking home baby gift basket) which includes a felt stuffed animal fox that I'm making.  It's actually turning out pretty cute.  I'll post pics of the finished project. End TW  Look forward to trying out opks?  I lead a thrilling life.

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts  welcome back - the little fox friend sounds so cute!  Did you follow a pattern or just go for it?

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 4

WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM, OPK, PNV, seed-cycling, maca, rrlt, pre-seed

R/R: rave: I slept fully through 8 hours last night - this hasn't happened in so long!! I often wake up in a hot flash, and I'm thinking the temps are cooling off enough now to support comfortable sleep...yay!!  But, temps can stay above 0 for now...lol

    CS/Q: Nothing to see yet

GTKY:  What was the best part of your weekend? Is there anything you're looking forward to this week?
    1. Hiking (see pic in spoiler)
    2. We went to see our new house and they've started painting inside - I'm so pumped the colours that I choose look awesome!! (Well I say colours....light grey, basically white).
....It's such a busy work week, I am looking forward to the weekend.

@lurvleybunchococonuts I totally don't judge you for looking forward to taking OPKs. I had a stupid amount of fun taking them this cycle; it was my first time trying them out and I will definitely continue taking them in my future cycles. Hope you enjoy it too. :) Your felt fox sounds so cute! Please post pics when you're finished!

@canucklehead123 no pattern, I just kinda drew the idea on a piece of paper and cut it out to get the basic shapes/idea.  It was surprisingly easy and turned out better than I expected :D I'm gonna attempt an owl next for DSD (she wanted the fox for herself and wanted to help make it this weekend, so I'm gonna pre-cut the stuff for us to have a project next time we get her).  Love the picture from your hike!  Yay, when do you get to start moving in to your new home?

@offtoneverland lol, thanks!  I will post pics once it's done.  Ha, glad I'm not the only one looking forward to peeing on things ;)

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts very clever, can't wait to see the finished product (and the owl too)!  Our possession date is Oct. 26...still a little while to wait but getting very excited! Since we're building, it's just exciting to go each week and see what has been completed/how it has changed!

R/R: It feels like the Mondayiest Monday ever. My parents who live in FL decided yesterday to head to my house in OH. They had been on vacation in MA but needed a place to crash since the hurricane is still ripping through FL. I worked half day yesterday and then went home to power clean. I'm happy to host them, but man I'm pooped.

CS/Q: I thought I would be benched this month but I think not all is lost after all! MH left Saturday and I think I ovulated yesterday which means we HIO -4 and -1. Feels like there may be a chance. I'm now waiting on two more days of high temps to confirm O.

GTKY:  I went to a music festival with friends Sat night and then spent the night with a friend who lives close to work (I worked Sun so didn't want to drive 30 mins home Sat night). I had a great time and am thankful for good friends. I'm looking forward to spending some time with my parents this week!
  • @lurvleybunchococonuts Glad you had fun at the shower this weekend. I love the idea of a going home basket. Never heard of that before!
@canucklehead123 That pic from your hike is gorgeous! Also, very exciting about your new house!
@nimmle Yes, I'm relived about Irma. My parents are still trying to contact friends in Miami to get a status report on their house. As of last night power and cell service were out down there so they weren't getting responses.

@lurvleybunchococonuts I wish I was that crafty! Sounds super cute!
@canucklehead123 The picture is beautiful! We are doing a step challenge at work so I should really get out on a hike! Also those sound like my type of "colors" MH wanted to paint the bathroom blue so I let him and I secretly don't really like it. But he let me paint the rest of the house while or light grey or one of my favs Cappuccino White.
@nimmle Glad the audition went well! Keep us posted. Have fun at Disney! Last year we went basically the same weekend and went to Food and Wine fest at Epcot! It was dangerous though because the wine and beer will sneak up on you!
@jaylii Congrats on the timing! FX for you!

WAYDTGKU: waiting for AF to bid her adieu, BBT, OPK's (also excited to try), PNV...all of the acronyms

R/R: rant-AF!  :s  Also had a terrible migraine last night and I could not fall asleep, now I'm starting to feel it coming back. Need to step away from the computer. rave-Packers won!

CS/Q: not much right now but for those who are regular tempers have you ever compared a regular digital thermometer to a BBT? I know the BBT is more accurate but I don't really feel like buying a new thermometer.

GTKY:  What was the best part of your weekend? Is there anything you're looking forward to this week?
Best part of the weekend was the charity gala on Friday ( @offtoneverland thanks for asking, sry I forgot to pop back in yesterday) it's always fun to get dressed up and its crazy to see them raise like $55K in a few minutes with people donating from their bids.
This week I am looking forward to my birthday on Wednesday! Also, were having friends from WI visit this weekend.

  • @krashke I find hiking the best of the best of the best type of exercise!! You'll never find anybody in a bad mood on a hike. Cappuccino white sounds like a fabulous colour!  I know what you mean about YH choosing colours... MH tried to choose so many colours that didn't really go... I felt a little bad for him because we had a decorator helping us and we both kind of ganged up on him a bit (in a nice way).. He'd be like "I really like this" and then we'd have our say, and then he would go "yah...I guess it's not the best now that I've looked at it more"... poor guy.  I swear he'll love it once it's done lol.

Also, for the thermometer - go for the BBT.  The first cycle I started temping, I just used a regular digital.  It kept giving me the craziest readings...like according to it, I had a mild fever every day.  I thought there was something seriously wrong with me until I figured out it was the *brand new* thermometer.  I bought a BBT off amazon and the readings are way better/more accurate and the BBT has more functionality (ie. alarm clock, saves temps for 60 days, reads to 2 decimals etc.).

R/R: Harvested a bunch of squash and cucumbers from the green house, they just seem like they were done for the season and it really opened up the the place taking all the vines out.

    CS/Q: nope

GTKY:  What was the best part of your weekend? Is there anything you're looking forward to this week? The best part of the weekend was going home it was super cold camping out. Next weekend H wants to take a drive to check out some flea markets.
  • Tag party time!

@lurvleybunchococonuts Really I just think OPKs is just another excuse to feed the "peeing on things" obsession ;)

@canucklehead123 OMG 8 hours of uninterrupted sleep? So jealous.

@jaylii I'm glad your family is safe. I have family in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach and we just heard from them this morning that all is well. Some cleanup to do, but they now have power again and nothing flooded.

@krashke Yay for Birthday! You have anything special planned?

@Stargazer1lily ooo yum. I love both squash and cucumbers. I'm so jealous of those with actual land to grow things. Living in an urban area is not quite conducive for that  :/
  • @josie12367 and @nimmle DH and I are just going out to dinner for my birthday. I'm excited though because its a restaurant we have been wanting to try for a few months and every time we try they are booked.

@canucklehead123 and @josie12367 thanks for the BBT advice. Maybe I will just stick with the regular dig this month and FX I don't need it next month but if I do I might get a BBT to be more accurate.

  • @nimmle I'm jealous of your short work week!  Have fun @ Disney :)

@jaylii It is super monday-ish :(  I hope your day goes quickly!  Have fun with your parents :)  DH actually came up with the idea to do the take baby home gift.  Although if he had his way it'd just be a bag with some diapers and wipes and headphones with a note that says, "Good luck!" :D  I'm planning to make it more "fun" though.

@krashke I hope AF leaves you soon.  Sounda like the charity gala was a hit and a lot of fun!  Happy early birthday!

@stargazer1lily Oooo, what kind of garden squash did you grow?

@josie12367 I work in a lab so I spend most of my days in blissful "science" space :D  Aww, sounds like you had a wonderful weekend, so glad for that :)

    WAYDTGKU:

R/R:  I slept terrible last night.  We were going to sleep in the same bed last night.  MH finally got up & went to the other room at 2am when I woke him up because he was snoring. Rave: These pumpkin seeds I'm eating!  It may be a nice enough day to go for a walk at lunch.
GTKY: As lame as it sounds, sleeping in yesterday was fantastic!  H & I spent time together outside Friday evening with our pup.  This week, I'm looking forward to prepping for our trip next week to WI to see a friend!

  • @jrm_14 love that you're liking the seed-cycling!!  This is our first home -- likely not a forever home as it is quite small and we will probably outgrow it in 5-8 years, but for now, we couldn't be happier!  I'm most excited about the walk-in shower that we custom built...can. not. wait.  also all the light fixtures are beautiful, and also we built in a drawer in the kitchen that has the garbage and recycling in it... I'm such a nerd but very excited about this lol.

  • @jrm_14 I don't think my parents will be here very long. My dad is really anxious to get back to their house and deal with any damage. I keep telling him that it will probably be several days before that's feasible but I don't think he's really listening. They'd drive from my house in OH and he keeps saying that they'll do the trip in two legs with the final one him driving through the night to avoid traffic. I could be more exasperated but he's always been this stubborn. haha He does need to start acknowledging that he's not super young anymore (he's 72). I'm really not crazy about the idea of my Dad driving all night. sigh
  • @canucklehead123. Ohhhhh!  I love those drawers that hide the garbage & recycling!  I lived in a home once with them & loved it!  Don't mind me living vicariously  :D. Is it a double walk-in shower for both of you? My favorite showers have benches to sit and shave legs!
  • *Lurking from TWW again*

@lurvleybunchococonuts That is super cute! Well done!!
  • @lurvelybunchococonuts Your felt fox is adorable!

@canucklehead123  My house is also shades of white and grey.  I can never commit to a paint color.  So I change pillows and accents frequently!  Congrats on the new house, you will love it!

@nimmle Congratulations on the roles!!!  Enjoy your Disney trip and celebrate!

@jaylii Yay!  I hope your timing works out!!  And I hope your parents have a safe trip home.

@krashke Your charity gala sounds really fun!

@stargazerlily Summer squash and cucumbers are the best!  I love summer veggies!

@josie12367 Aw I’m so glad you got your DH back this weekend!  Enjoy the time together!

    WAYDTGKU:  Benched.

R/R:   Rave:  weather was absolutely gorgeous today.  Went for a nice long walk with my dog.  Rant:  Really wanted to run, but tried 1/4 mile and my wrist started hurting.  I'm supposed to run 5-6 miles in October for a marathon relay but I really need to start training and my wrist definitely needs more time to heal.  It's a bummer.

CS/Q:  No questions today.  Thinking about temping next cycle--this week I've had some super light spotting and cramps but no change in CM.  BBT might help me tell what's going on, perhaps next cycle when I am off the bench!

GTKY:  What was the best part of your weekend? Is there anything you're looking forward to this week?  My favorite part of the weekend was eating fish and chips on the beach as a last hurrah for summer!  This is a pretty busy week at work, which doesn't bother me.  It will go by quickly!
  • @quiltandknit. Was the fish freshly caught?  Regardless, it sounds like a good end to summer!
  • @jrm_14  Alas no, we didn't have enough room for a double walk-in but it will still be glorious.
    @lurvleybunchococonuts love the fox friend!!!!
