The water aversion seems to have passed, but the nausea is definitely getting worse. Spent 5 minutes dry heaving into our kitchen sink yesterday while my toddler was stroking my side saying "it's ok, it's ok". Then mimicked the dry heaving sound.

My nausea has really improved in the past week. I would be happy if it wasn't for the fact that I have been spotting for three days straight. I don't have a good feeling about this.
I have the aversion to water and almost any other drink that was once okay for me. Last week I could stomach lemonaide, and now i cant. I often feel like I can eat or drink something but not both.
@ngolimento Keep calm, call your doctor. You've already had a good U/S so the statistics are on your side, and things are probably ok. Thinking of you!

Im just in this constant stage of wanting to vomit. I have a cough which of course isn't helping but brushing my teeth, taking my prenatal, coughing all induce gagging. A part of me just wants to throw up already so maybe the sensation stops haunting me. Wishful thinking as I'm sure it will just get stronger. Oh and the smells. Everything just smells so bad. God I hate the first trimester
@btm013 I am right there with you. 1st trimester is maddening this time around! Have you tried prenatal gummies? I was having a really hard time swallowing my prenatal and sometimes throwing up right afterwards. I purchaced the garden of life brand and it's only 4 gummies a day. Totally better than swallowing that massive pill every night! There are a ton of brands out there. Just a suggestion that you might want to try.
@fishsticks-n-custard - sorry the nausea is so bad. Your toddler comforting you was so sweet though! @ngolimento - I'm with @hedgepig. Your US was good, let your doc know ASAP, and take it easy. FX it's weird coincidence you are less nauseous and seeing spotting.
@ngolimento didn't you had your Ultrasound this week? If it was a vaginal US it could explain the spotting. Also around 8weeks is when the placenta really attach itself so risks of spotting are higher. Thinking of you ❤️
Thinking of you, @ngolimento! I always mentally go to the worst place with any sort of change. First tri is hard for me. Like hedgepig said, stats are on your side. FX everything is okay!
The tiredness and nausea have been intense this last week. I was really hoping that after week 9 these symptoms would get better, but no such luck. Tuesday I'll be 11 weeks... here's to hoping only 2 more weeks of feeling like this.
This sucks, but I'm starting to associate TB with nausea. Cuz I jump on it when I'm too sick to do anything else. So now when I see the icon on my phone, I feel nauseous again. I might be on here sparsely til second tri cuz Lord knows I don't need to MAKE myself even more nauseous

@bagowater FWIW, at the height of my nausea I found that any screen time at all made it worse! So maybe it's not just us, but the phone/computer screen in general??
@bagowater haha no joke, when I was pregnant back in 2014, Taylor swifts last album came out and I listened to it so much during the peak of my nausea that anytime I heard blank space on the radio (even months later) I would want to dry heave!! Now I'm finding myself having an aversion to her new song....wait...maybe it's just Taylor? Haha
My nausea and vomiting has finally lessened. From weeks 6-10, the nausea and vomiting was really bad for me. All I wanted to eat was mac and cheese, apple juice and saltines. Gin-gins really helped. I got sea bands too because motion seemed to make it worse but they did not help. now that i've been eating every 2-3 hours, i've gained 5-10 lb (i'm in middle of week 10)-- but i'm not nearly as nauseous.
@ngolimento Oh no, fingers crossed the spotting is nothing. When's your next appointment with your doc?
Next appointment is at the end of the month (I think the 26th). I haven't told my doctor yet about the spotting because I am prone to it, and am tired of being a nervous Nellie over it. But it was bright red briefly yesterday, and has been going on for a few days.
In the spirit of trying to make myself feel better, I am taking a bath with a lavender bath bomb, an orange juice/Perrier combo in a wine glass, and nomming some dark chocolate. Take that, universe!
Talk to me about aftertaste. I've been doing ok with food lately as long as I don't eat too much at once, but the aftertastes are KILLING ME. Anything remotely sweet leaves my mouth feeling like it's full of sugary syrup an hour later. Anything with salt gives me an awful bitter aftertaste. Brushing my teeth gets rid of it immediately, but I spend 85% of my day running around and can't always brush fast enough and I swear it triggers MS. What is this fuckery?
My heartburn and indigestion the last couple days has been awful. Especially today. Constant burning feeling in my upper abdomen and it makes me puke up everything I eat/drink. Miserable.
My boobs hurt sooo bad this week. Then last night my husband thinking he was being funny threw one of our cats on me. The cat freaked and dug her claw right in my nipple. I cried so much and blood was seeping through my shirt and my H had the audacity to tell me I was overreacting. Yea..we slept in separate beds last night. Ugh!!
My nausea is next to nothing. It started earlier then with my first (during the 5th week instead of the 6th and not full force until around week 8), hit harder (I'm down 5 lbs), but has faded way faster (started fading around 9 weeks instead of 14), and I'll only get a wave of it when I go longer then 5hrs without food. Other symptoms are some slight fatigue, still have to pee all the time, tender nips, significant drop in milk supply(bummer), and increased libido (hey not all bad!).

No, he does not get to scare animals for funsies, and in the meantime injure you, and walk away like nothing happened. Eff that.
@scuba_chic throwing cats isn't funny, what the heck. They have claws! I hate when DH throws anything at me honestly because I'm not very coordinated and it usually smacks me in the face.

I feel like throwing anything at a pregnant woman should be firmly put on the "don't fucking do it" list
@hmsmama17 The chapped lips!!!! This started for me this week too! I am wondering if I am getting enough water, but feel like i am drinking all the time.
I also got the fun metal taste in my mouth. I have it almost all the time no matter what I eat.The nausea and exhaustion still have no end in sight. Come on 2nd tri and get here already!
My biggest symptom this week is something sounds amazing and about a 1/4 through eating it I don't want it anymore. Also a lot of cramping, especially when laying down at night. Oh and the constant trips to the bathroom are annoying.
Random PSA... My inability to drink as much water as I know i need is driving me crazy but I've found a good substitute! If you like sparkling water, I think you'd enjoy these. I got them at Costco but I think they are also available at Trader Joe's.

@ladythrice thank you for the recommendation. I am getting sick of water. It's all I drink so I can't get an aversion to it now haha.
Also, for all those nauseous mamas out there, my doctor told me the peak for nausea is 9 weeks and then things start to decline. He could have just been lying to me but I'm holding out hope haha. Also, he prescribed me zofran (only to be used sparingly)! I popped those things like candy with my first and he's FINE! I didn't even fill it yet but I just feel better knowing I have it if I need it.
