Re: PGAL check in 8/28
Any appointments coming up? I had my last beta today and it came back at 3,341! It was 201 last Monday, so it more than doubled! They scheduled me for my first u/s next Tuesday, the 5th. I just hope the time goes quickly.
Questions? I don't think I have any questions today.
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) I am doing okay. I had myself convinced yesterday that my beta wouldn't come back good today and was pretty upset. And now I just feel relieved that it did come back okay! I hate going from one minute feeling good and the next minute worrying something will still go wrong. I had my loss at 5 + 3 last time, so am anxious about getting past that date.
GTKY: What is your absolutely most hated chore? Can be from around the house, or from work. I really hate cleaning the bathroom. I just don't want to do it.
How far along are you?
around 7-8 weeks. It's pretty frustrating that I haven't been able to get a dating US yet.
Any appointments coming up?
Friday!!! 4 days!
Questions?
I went for my first beta draw on Fri (39924) and second this morning (49359). I know they stop doubling at some point, but does anyone know whether these are good numbers for 7-8 weeks? My OB will call tomorrow to go over these results but I am too anxious to wait til then!
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
With every tiny cramp I am still running to the bathroom to check for bleeding. Feeling a little more hopeful, but not much.
GTKY: What is your absolutely most hated chore? Can be from around the house, or from work.
I cannot stand putting the laundry away... which is why it stays piled up on the guest bed for weeks at a time.
How far along are you? 6 weeks, 3 days
Any appointments coming up? September 12th just can't come fast enough.
Questions? None today.
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) I am really vacillating between being just so anxious to allowing myself to be excited. We told my SIL and her husband while visiting them in Telluride this weekend. That felt pretty scary. But we had fun making up all sorts of outrageous demands "the baby wants" so we ended up laughing a lot, which felt good. But also dangerous. Does that make sense? I don't know.
GTKY: What is your absolutely most hated chore? Can be from around the house, or from work. Filing expense reports at work... I call them TPS reports and watch an Office Space snippet to make it less loathsome.
@ashnbubs those are solid numbers for 7 weeks (range is from 7,659-229k). Unfortunately doubling is supposed to happen up through 14 weeks
@ashnbubs I agree with @sunshinedays-2. It may be that your numbers are so high that the doubling is taking longer. Please don't worry. If you lurk other BMBs (like March) there are some ladies whose betas were steadily increasing around that range, but not doubling, and who are still pregnant. Don't fixate on the not doubling being a sign that you should worry. Let us know what your OB says!
@stalkinghorse Good for you for celebrating this pregnancy and laughing a little! I understand the trepidation about letting yourself go there though. I told my dad and BFF this week. It was scary to say it out loud to them, but it's nice to share some happiness too. We are pregnant today and that is worth celebrating and being happy about in the company of those you love.

Any appointments coming up?
Still white knuckling it until 9/13
Questions?
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
I'm feeling more positive! I have finally let go of peeing on wondfos and temping. The nausea and sore boobs have really amped up the past few days and I am weirdly happy to be feeling so shitty!
GTKY: What is your absolutely most hated chore? Can be from around the house, or from work.
Laundry. So much laundry.

Not this week

How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
Doing ok. The b6 and unisom is definitely helping a good bit. I've decided to see how one more week goes now that school's back and I'm getting into my routine. Today my major issue was dizziness.
GTKY: What is your absolutely most hated chore? Can be from around the house, or from work.
Probably washing dishes

Questions?
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) Physically, just lots of burping, some waves of nausea every day, and a general "out of it" feeling--very hard to get work done. Emotionally, doing pretty well. I just passed the length of my last pregnancy (m/c at 5w1d), which feels like a kind of milestone. But I also started vaginal progesterone, and all the extra discharge makes me feel like I'm bleeding, which sends me running to the bathroom to check. : /
GTKY: What is your absolutely most hated chore? Can be from around the house, or from work. Definitely putting laundry away! I don't mind washing it, but then I would sooner just dump it in a pile on the floor and pick outfits out of it every day than hang things up or fold them. It's the same with unpacking after a trip. No idea why!

Any appointments coming up? My possibly last RE appointment (ultrasound) is on Friday. I'm nervous to "graduate"!
Questions? Are crazy vivid dreams a thing that happens? I've been having bad dreams, verging on nightmares, and it's exhausting.
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) I'm okay. Like someone else said, trying to balance the fear/anxiety and letting myself be excited. One of said vivid dreams was about *TW losing this pregnancy, and I woke up just devastated. Even though up until now everything has been perfect with this pregnancy.
GTKY: What is your absolutely most hated chore? Can be from around the house, or from work. I hate putting away clean clothes and scrubbing the bathtub.

Any appointments coming up?
Ultrasound on Wednesday! I'm kind of nervous about this, since my mom mentioned we might be able to hear baby's heartbeat. That didn't even occur to me! It just seems so weird to have another heartbeat inside of me!
Questions?
I'm sure I have many, but my brain can't think of any right now.
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
Honestly, I am really, really struggling with this pregnancy. It was unplanned and unexpected, and came at a pretty stressful time of transition for my husband and me. We've only been married a year, we just moved 3 states away from my parents, DH just got his first high school teaching job, I'm smack in the middle of opening a small business, and we live in a run-down apartment that I specifically told my husband I did NOT want to have kids in. When I got the BFP, I felt no joy (for other reasons too, like the danger of an IUD pregnancy). The only time I've smiled as a result of this pregnancy was when I told my mom, and that was mostly muscle reaction. I'm trying to be happy. I feel like I should be happy. I want to be happy. But I'm just not.
GTKY: What is your absolutely most hated chore? Can be from around the house, or from work.
Cleaning grody dishes. We used to have a dishwasher, but don't in our new apartment and washing dishes by hand just grosses me the hell out.
Any appointments coming up? Just had one today and it went really well! *Happy dance*
Questions? Nope
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) We announced to my in-laws tonight, and they were very supportive. I was glad that my hubby didn't do it on speaker phone, because I don't know if I could have handled my jerkoff FIL saying something nasty about me being pregnant "again". I still hate sharing the info, but it's over with
GTKY: What is your absolutely most hated chore? Can be from around the house, or from work. I loathe vacuuming. I swear to God that the stupid thing fights me the whole time, and the cord is possessed by Satan. Evil vile machine.
@kbamomma33 I finally gave up and stopped peeing on Wondfos too! It's so hard to let go of it! In a weird way, I feel like it makes me feel like I have control over the situation, even though I don't!
@stalkinghorse That's good that you were at least able to relax enough to have a little fun with being pregnant :-)
@mdwiny I started progesterone too. I hate that mine is pink, so when it comes back out it looks like spotting. Like really? Why did they make it that color??
@ngolimento Congrats again on a great appt!

Any appointments coming up? U/S tomorrow, finally!
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) I'm feeling much better than I did in weeks 6 and 7 - my desire for food has returned and I can eat semi-normally now. I'm still getting an upset stomach for at least part of the day each day, but not nearly as bad. The best thing really is being able to eat vegetables and other healthy foods though.
GTKY: What is your absolutely most hated chore? Can be from around the house, or from work. I hate cutting/hauling/stacking firewood. It's always hot when you do it, so you wind up sweaty, dusty, itchy and scratched up, and there's always the possibility of rattlesnakes or scorpions to make it even less pleasant. Yuck.

@stalkinghorse I can relate to that roller-coaster... every day I flip flop from there's something wrong to omg we're having a baby... I'm hoping after my first U/S I will have some sort of relief
@mdwiny im guilty of not unpacking and letting my bags sit against the wall for like... up to a few weeks. Its such a pain!!!
@vannesmarshall sorry you're struggling with this pregnancy- you will come around to it, but don't beat yourself up for not being ecstatic... I think people who 100% intentionally got pregnant have second thoughts once "the deed is done." I'm still a little shocked that I'm actually, really, pregnant, and we were not trying not preventing... I can't imagine what my thoughts would be, having it happen while on B.C while you were in the midst of turning a brand new page in life!
How far along are you?
8+2!
Any appointments coming up?
Today! Today is my formal intake appt and was supposed to be my 1st ultrasound. However, because I got called in a week and a half ago for a viability ultrasound due to my numbers it will be my second look! So excited to see that little bean again.
Questions?
Is anyone having trouble drinking plain water? I've been surviving off of Gatorade and vitamin water and the sugary stuff is killing me (I never drank it prior to this pregnancy). Any recommendations for unsweetened drinks that might go down easy?
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
This is a hard one for me. I've passed my loss milestones but I haven't actually passed when I had my MMC (stopped growing at 6+2 didn't miscarry until almost 10w) and I feel like I'm trying to white knuckle it through the anxiety. I feel like I need to be positive so I'm slapping a smile sticker on everything but if I'm honest there are some dark moments. Thankful for an US today.
GTKY: What is your absolutely most hated chore? Can be from around the house, or from work.
Mopping!! Hate it! Love the way it clean floors feel afterwards though...
@ashnbubs If it makes you feel any better, I am only juat now getting my dating U/S at 8w5d. Also, I hate putting away laundry too
@stalkinghorse Your feelings definitely sound familiar to me. I said something about being worried the other day to MH and he responded "That's why we shouldn't get too invested/excited." The idea if getting hurt again is so scary. Also, LOL, TPS reports
@kbamomma33 I hope the next two weeks fly by!
@allowachick I'm sorry you've been feeling so bad.... dizziness just seems like adding insult to injury. Yuck.
@mdwiny Passing milestones is great! And, I am also terrible at unpacking from a trip.
@mstoddart Sorry about the nightmare - hopefully Friday's U/S will be reassuring.
@vannesmarshall Be gentle with yourself. Your situation sounds really stressful, so give it some time to sink in. My pregnancy was very much wanted, but I have had lots of moments when I am pretty sure I'm crazy for wanting/choosing it. It's scary, and all the more so for you with the dangers of the IUD pregnancy. Good luck, and remember, we're cheering you on too!
@sunshinedays-2 Yay for an U/S today! I hope it can give you a little peace of mind
Edit: forgot some words.

A week from today is my first and an ultrasound a couple days after that. Can't. Wait.
Questions?
No
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
Passed my previous loss date. Still won't fully relax till i see that baby though. I am having more symptoms now which makes me feel better though!
GTKY: What is your absolutely most hated chore? Giving the dog a bath. She hates it. I hate it. But since she weights 60 pounds and fights it big time, dh usually takes over that chore when I'm pregnant. Thank goodness!
I am 5 1/2 weeks.
My first appointment isn't until 5 more weeks,Oct 3.
How am I? Relatively calm. I am checking for spotting less and less each day. My miscarriage happened around 8 weeks but I had begun spotting around 7.
I called to schedule my appointment yesterday and was told that my new insurance doesn't automatically cover a dating ultrasound but have a feeling I can talk them into something due to my dd genetic condition.
I hate to take out the trash. I actually really like cleaning the bathroom, I find it satisfying.

Any appointments coming up?
September 1. This Friday!!! I think I am only seeing the nurse, bit still have some anxiety.
Questions?
None for now.
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here)
I feel terrible. I am nauseous ALL the time. The only food I can seem to stomach right now is smoothies. I am so conflicted. I want the nausea to go away because I literally can't focus on anything. At the same time I want it to stick around because it is reassuring me that I am still pregnant.
GTKY: What is your absolutely most hated chore? Can be from around the house, or from work.
Dishes. I hate them. Give me laundry all day every day bit no dishes!
@sunshinedays-2 I agree about the plain water. I've been adding lemon, or drinking seltzer has been ok for me too

@ashnbubs my RE told me once your numbers hit 1000 your doubling time increases and your numbers won't necessarily double within the 48-72 hour range.
@stalkinghorse I know exactly where you're coming from. It's so hard to be excited when you're just nervous all the time. Hopefully once we all get to the second trimester we can actually enjoy it.
@kbamomma33 nothing weird with being happy about feeling shitty. I understand it completely.
@mdwiny you will get use to the progesterone discharge. It's gross but after awhile you can tell that's what it is.
@ngolimento I'm sorry your FIL is like that.
How far along are you? 9+2 I think. I know it's within a day but I can't remember.
Any appointments coming up? I have one with my OB next Tuesday. The nurse said we would listen to the heartbeat but I didn't think the Doppler would work at 10 weeks.
Questions? Nope.
How are you doing? (Dear diary posts and venting are welcome and encouraged here) I'm just waiting for the moment that I feel 'relaxed' and can actually enjoy this without worrying about everything. I'm not sure if that will ever happen but I'm hoping it does.
GTKY: What is your absolutely most hated chore? Can be from around the house, or from work. Cleaning the toilet. But right now cleaning anything. The smell from cleaning supplies make me feel awful. Even though most of the time I make DH do it because I don't want to breath in the fumes. I usually use mrs meyers but everything couple of days the kitchen needs a good cleaning or if I cook with meat I make sure to clean up good. (well I make DH clean up good)
