we have a little Italian deli nearby run by "mama". She's there every day. I trust her to keep her ingredients fresh.... it's a small place but has integrity. She promised DH that get ingredients would be okay.... he told her why. It was so good.
I won't eat them regularly but I have been craving a sub for 6 weeks and I couldn't stand it anymore
Gardettos. They are making my world go round right now. Pregnancy is so weird - the thought of far gentler foods turns my stomach but Gardettos is working for me.
After an awful dinner fail last night that left me in tears, we went to Which Wich and got wraps. I've been craving a tuna wrap for like a week so it worked out. It was delicious!
Tonight I'm making honey sriracha turkey meatballs in the slow cooker with brown rice. I've never made them before but I just tasted the sauce and it was SO good! Very excited for dinner.
And, I meal prepped some breakfast bowls for my husband's breakfast tomorrow so I don't need to worry about cooking in the morning when I feel sick.
The sauce definitely has a kick to it, so if you're not super tolerant to spicy foods, add an extra tablespoon or two of honey! And I doubled the sauce recipe because I'm using the slow cooker method she mentions instead of an oven.
I was really excited for my lunch. I bought a container of dungeoness crab meat last night and was going to have that today. But I'm still regretting my half bagel + yogurt & chia breakfast. I want to want to eat my lunch.

Can I revive this? It's been dead for a few days buuuuttttt...
BLTs. So many BLTs. I made one for lunch. And then another. And I plan on having at least one more for dinner. They're the only thing I've actually enjoyed eating in like a week.
DH made bars last night and I just enjoyed a bar with my half-caf. 1/2 cup of coffee this afternoon--happy nap time to me!! (Before you get impressed by DH baking, my disclaimer is that he really isn't a good baker in most terms, but I bought a ready-to-go box of bars, so he just had to add a couple items. He's a GREAT cook, but he's also a "more is more" kind of guy, so baking gets a little out of hand when he messes with ingredient ratios )
I should not have eaten all those Doritos before falling asleep on the couch.... but what has been working for me is making chicken and noodles and mashed potatoes made with ranch dressing.

Omg that sounds amazing. I think you just picked dinner for tonight. Lol!!
For me this past week has been carbs. Bakery sweets. I literally drove 15 miles to the nearest Cinnabon for a classic cinnamon roll because my belly insisted "refrigerated pillsbury cinnamon rolls are NOT the same thing."
@becausescience Not trying to be mean, but it was the most amazingly delicious thing that has ever graced my taste buds. I recommend you go back to the mall asap and get one!! Lol
Same except matza balls instead of noodles. I'm coaching MH on how to do it right now as I cough repeatedly on the couch. I might top it off with an ice cream sandwich later if I'm feeling fiesty.
Honey Bunches of Oats... thank you to the mom here (apologies I don't remember her username) she mentioned her husband ate the last bowl and it made me remember how much I used to LOVE them!
@ShawnnaO I thought those honey sriracha meatballs sounded amazing so I made them for dinner with my ILs the other night and they were a huge hit! I even had leftovers for lunch yesterday. Thanks for sharing that great recipe!
Sargento makes these little snack packs called "Balanced Breaks" it has cheese and a fruit or sweet treat like chocolate. So good to snack on throughout the day!

@amylonghorn - I just discovered them today and man, have they really helped with the hunger pains in-between meals! They're so good! I liked the cheese with the chocolates, dried cranberries and graham crackers! lol
I made banana bread with dark chocolate chunks. Omg.
I don't know how this happened... but chocolate has been an aversion for me. I am a chocolate junkie - so this is probably not a bad thing. it's strange how much I can't stand it right now though considering how much I usually love it

Oh man, that stinks. I've had several of my favorite foods turn against me recently- corn on the cob, salad, and pizza!
English muffins - half with peanut butter and half with butter (very specific lol). I have literally eaten this every day this week
Ooo this makes me want one of my cravings from last pregnancy. English muffin one half with peanut butter and the other half Nutella. I think I only buy English muffins when pregnant too.

@skppks I've been thinking about getting pho. Do you get the beef pho? I was debating because of the thin slices of raw beef they put on top. I love me some Vietnamese food
