IMO most of the post that have had some sort of hey this could have been done some where else each person has come back with a hey this is the reason why I didn't put it there.
Yes i know we don't have mods but there are a few people in here that just naturally take the role.
I agree I don't think anyone has been rude I just feel if I posted a question like how are you going to tell family I would get a hey we have a thread for that. Well no we don't that thread is more like it's more like have you told them yet or not.
I just think we should relax a little bit. I know we do have newbies and sometimes they do need help.
Maybe to help with the questions board we can start a new one more often so it doesn't get so bloated.?
I definitely think the question thread should be daily instead of weekly. That gives more space for questions and easier to sort through topics. Especially as the board grows we'll have a 20pg thread for one week. Maybe I'd daily seems to much maybe M/W/F and weekend
I don't really have an opinion on post/board organization either way. I don't think it's been militant or anyone has been rude though. I do think the posts re: post organization serve another purpose. If you get someone flipping the eff out over a polite redirection, that's probably not someone you want to stick around. It's a good test of whether this board is a good fit for them. Andplusalso it's kinda fun to watch when it does happen. And it will. It totally will.
***March '18 October Siggy Challenge: Halloween Costume Fails***
I find it annoying to scroll through threads and threads of questions with a nearly inactive question thread that's now stuck down the list. Especially when mobile bumping. Also it doesn't take that long to read the organization thread and maybe lurk a bit to see where their thought belongs: truly on its own or in one of the weekly threads.
If you find a particular thread too bloated (like the symptoms or questions threads), start a new thread with that week's date. I feel like there's an easy answer to all of this.
Just re-quoting since everyone seems to be missing this.
Also, any of the threads that end up being really long can be changed to a daily thread to keep them shorter.
can I just say even though this isn't a UO I really enjoy that there can be debates and disagreements without the hard core fighting and name calling. Its so refreshing to see people have disagreements and still talk it out like adults. Also I'm kind of on the fence about the board organization because we are still in the early stages and it's still too soon for my favorite thread HDBD (unless we do hump day, bloat day. Which I don't think anyone wants to see my bloat LOL) Maybe for the time until things really pick up we can just keep doing more GTKY.
Also did anyone else see a STM+ check in for this week I feel like i missed it or did we just resurrect last week's? I have just been trying to keep up with all the new posts on already established threads I sometimes forget to look at new ones that get posted.
If all of this is stemming from my comment that the judgement stuff would make a good STM+ thread, I definitely didn't mean it that way. It just popped in my head that it would be interesting to discuss further.
@orangecup no I just felt like every post someone made that wasn't a set post someone made a comment to put it in a suggested post. IMO i think they were appropriate and had enough participation to warrant a post. But that's why I posted it here in the UO.
I thought so @luna8433 you know what could be a good idea I have seen this on other BMB maybe have assigned people to post the daily threads like Ticker changes or check-in's. They would of course be people who are a part of whatever it is. Like the Sunday Ticker change wouldn't post Thursday's ticker change. Just a thought because then that way it will avoid double posts (it happen monday with two ticker changes, I created one and then an hour later someone else created one), or miss one. It's just an idea

I don't think it was that comment. I didn't read your post at all that you were telling me to toddle along. I thought it was a great idea.
PS, thanks for posting it. I was hesitant to start a new STM thread until Monday. I'm too in the box sometimes. :P
My UO.... I love when people want to feel my belly (once it's bigger, of course). When I was pg with DD, I would basically let anyone feel my belly that wanted to. Doesn't bother me a bit.

@Mattel I'm the same way. I get annoyed when people freak out about it like it's the worst thing ever. Like, who cares, especially because it's in an adoring manner and they're happy for the new little life. But I also just don't care if people touch me in general. I'm very laid back.
Yeah it never bothered me in the slightest when people asked to touch my belly when it was big with my last baby, but I can see how it would freak some people out

I agree. I don't care if ppl touch my belly. But I'm a pretty open person!
I have OCD and feel contaminated by direct human contact, and I don't really mind people touching my belly, as long as there is a shirt layer, I know them well, or they ask.
I personally think it's ok when family and people I know we'll touch my belly, but fuuuuuuuck no to a stranger. That's creepy creeper creeps from creepyville.
