KZ1126 yay love hearing that!! Ur next US is going to be even sweeter. Hearing the heartbeats are amazing but when you start to see a baby it'll be that much sweeter! I think its SO HARD when going through IVF and experiencing any type of loss makes this experience so anxiety ridden, I wish there was a way it wouldn't be that way but it is. My best advice is to try and enjoy the moment, can the worse happen yes, so why worry about and just enjoy each day....you'll remind me of this when my time comes right

DO I think I BD in time NO, does OH, sure he thinks its money in the bag....yea he was literally 24/36hrs too late to the party...you know but he knows best! I'm going to the RE this weekend so we shall see if I start priming.

so I was wondering about my other embaby in waiting and I just found out that it "survived nicely" (to go for testing) ahhhhh how great if that could be a normie for me

At least it made it through one hurdle right! It was fun to get a lil glimmer of hope today!!

@Hopeful_mom ughhhh i hear you, i'm bleeding again, which seems to be the day after ultrasound routine, and the doctor says its nothing, but in my mind any second its over... but yes, positive thoughts from now on!!
Funny you say that about your OH, my doctor made the wonderful mistake of telling my husband he had "superman sperm" after the testing. I guess he wanted him to feel good. So everytime we BD, he's like yup, I just got you pregnant!!!! haha TMI, but it makes me laugh.

Hey ladies.... Still here in Florida til tomorrow but I'll give yal a little run down of appointment. Firstly, I thought it was just a consultation and was told that we would pay anywhere between $295-$425 prior to the trip. So we spoke to the RE (I like him and so does husband) we went through everything. I asked questions, he gave answers and also shared info and stats.

So then, he tells me he's going to do a vaginal ultrasound and me and DH has to do some starting BW. I was caught off guard because I was on CD4 and also because I thought it would only be a consult.

Later into the appointment, one of his assistant told us why we had to do some BW after I told her I was under the impression that we was only doing a consult. Anyway, the RE asked if I wanted to start Aug or September but husband and I decided that we would wait due to the fact that my RE is big on your body being in the best shape so that you can get the best results.

I haven't even started prenatal yet but I definitely will be starting end of month. They also told me to take probiotics. Can anyone say what that's for?

Oh! so overall we paid $1,049 for bw and visit. It's a good thing I am always prepared even tho I hate these types of surprises. And the IVF was not as much as we thought it would be plus we got 25% off for being international patients (yaaay) but I need you ladies help in finding places for the meds because they are expensive!!

We have my cousin's baby shower today, then we go home tomorrow so I can catch up. Just wanted to update you ladies and @KZ1126 thanks for asking about me hun...

mrsa2017 sounds like you had a very productive visit, thats great! I couldve sworn I mentioned you would probably have US and BW done as that was my experience....especially as you want to get started why waster more time and money on another visit to do the same thing, thrilled you got all that done. I"m surprised you're not taking vitamins yet, well thats not true I originally thought you start taking the prenatals once you get pregnant and then at my OB appt way back when he was like NO, you start a fw months prior to starting...no problem now as its a good 2 yrs i've been taking them

Freedom pharmacy seem to have decent prices for some of the ladies. I'm trying to think on which thread there was talk about meds...It's on one of these recent boards where people discussed the difference between walgreens and cvs too. @Prudence9 what was that website you mentioned to get cheaper drugs at. I sound like a dealer writing that

@hopeful_mom it wasn't a website. It was some sort of subsidies medication. Not even sure how all of a sudden I was offered that for the patches. But I ended up paying a fraction of the price I previously paid. I think I saved the name of that program on my work computer. So can check the name of it on Monday.

@mrsa2017 sounds like a very productive visit indeed. I'm not sure which the cheapest pharmacy is. However i have heard of people using a few different ones to get the best price. I use Walmart for my estradiol. It's a $4 copay and I don't use my insurance card. I also transferred my prenatal prescription to Walmart. It will be $10 for 90 days rather than over $30.

I have missed talking to you ladies for the pass few days. I hope everyone is one step closer to achieving their dreams and having positive outcomes in whichever step you are at in this process.

I am finally back home in the Bahamas and was fighting a flu uuuggghhh. My H says every time I visit Florida I get sick the last days because I am ripping and running the streets and not resting LOL, and to think doc told us to be mindful of mosquitoes and the Zika Virus as well... So whenever I see a mosquito I shoo it away and yell Zika!!!!! LOL

@hopeful_mom I didn't want to start anything before I saw an ER to know what is going on first. I usually try to expect the unexpected so I can shield myself a little bit just in case things don't go as I hope. My RE says everything looks good so only my PCOS I need to be mindful of. I will start prenatals, CoQ10, myo-inositol and the probiotic. I think I read that I may need to take melatonin as well, I 'll double check when I get home. I want my eggs to be the best they can be, so I will take the vitamins and supplements for 3-4 months then we'll be ready to rock and roll.

@SP128 @Holls214 thank you ladies as well. I will check out the places mentioned for the meds. I like to be ahead of things so I can be ready once he gives me my protocol, I'll know what costs what and be prepared.

@mrsa2017 so sorry you have the flu!! Glad to hear you are getting started. I have PCOS and honestly don't take anything but prenatal vitamins. I have heard a lot of people that take melatonin.
I finally get to do something this week. Yay! I stop BC tomorrow and start estrogen pills on Friday. Less than a month away from FET now.

AFM: I'm right in the middle of IVF 8 woo hoo. I feel like after 5 days of meds I already have a follicle at 13 so a lil nervous that i haven't even been to acupuncture yet so hoping that wont effect anything. I have 4 follies on the right and left and so far they have all progressed so hoping they will keep doing that. I'm concerned with the one that jumped from a 9 to a 13...big mama!! I have 4 ranging from 10-11.5. And then 6.5, 7.5 and a 9. Hopefully this will pop up to the others.

I added my update from my immunology consultation that took too long to get! figured I'd update you on my immunology dr. A quick recap...ever since my MC Im still searching for the WHAT HAPPENED! my acupuncturist asked to see my blood work results from after. She saw them and suggested I also get the NK cell text (natural killer cell) I asked my RE about she basically said thats immunology testing. They dont do it and she doesn't think its necessary. I keep pressing the issue and she recommends someone I can reach out to. SO that bring me to my consultation with dr. braverman (immunology dr) today and i just have so many more questions. He thinks i could have a silent endometriosis issue...which could be problematic. Its all a guessing game BUT it would also mean to push everything back about 3 months. The blood work alone takes 6 weeks to do. i'm very torn AND also pissed that it took so long to get the appointment in the first place, 3 weeks ago I could've gotten the blood work done and still be on the path i'm at now UGH!!!!! He can't do the blood work while I have all these meds in my system...I literally just starting stemming WTH!!! You have to have faith in your RE and all my tests have shown no endo, but my mom has hashimotos which is an immune thing so he thinks i could be a carry of the gene which could be an issue...really. That could be the reason for my MC, so its hard to not really look into it....ugh now even more to think about. Lastly it'll cost me about another 6k and I might need a laparoscopy done...which also means more delay to a transfer. He suggested I stop stemming as endo can hurt your egg quality BUT its my choice. SO I can't say I'm feeling all that great today just trying to read and wrap my head around it. Happy to hear your thoughts...whether your endo knowledgeable or not!

@Hopeful_mom that's tough. I'm sorry. I always thought I had endo as well. My mom had it horribly and had to have a hysterectomy after having kids because of it. She did have all 3 of us kids with endo though. You would think with all the tests they would be able to tell about that but who knows. Sorry you are lost with the options. I feel ya
AFM- I'm lost today too. Frustrated and unsure where to go from here.... basically ever since I started the double dose of estrogen pills I have felt horrible. Horrible headaches, back pain and dizziness with anxiety. It's been a week with these symptoms. Hormone meds and me don't mix well. I guess my fear is that I will need to cancel my cycle since I can barely do anything. A girl in my Resolve group had the same side effects and said thy didn't go away until she stopped the estrogen. That would be 12 weeks from now if we get a positive. UGH! I don't know what to do. Should I cancel my FET for the 17th and wait to do a natural cycle or just hope that one day I start to feel better?! Also my DH is in London for the week for work so that's awesome. Thanks for letting me vent.

@hopeful_mom so I see that you are doing good and so are your follies Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! How many days have you been stimming for already? One follie at 13, that's a big gussy Mae (Bahamian term for big mama) LOL. There is always one over achiever I see. Let's pray the others catch up and they all grow to be mature normal embryos to join their siblings at daycare hahaha ha.

Question: when you initially started IVF they didn't ask about family history or did a genetics test? We got our results back and hubs found out that he has alpha-thalassemia. I knew I had it since I was in high school and my mom has it. So they are suggesting PGS testing on our future embryos but we really wasn't hoping to do that.... Decisions decisions

@Holls214 you have come so far love. It sucks ass that the meds are making you feel awful. You lasted long tho because I would've already asked about an alternative to take, hell IVF alone is stressful and then side effects to meds?! That's just too much. Hope you feel better and not have to cancel FET. I can't wait until this entire group is PUPO...

AFM... Hubs and I decided to look into IVF in Barbados as well so in a few weeks we will set up a consult with them then make our decision... Decisions decisions. August has been a rough month for us so I haven't even gotten my supplements and Prenatal yet uuuuugggghhhh why life so hard sometimes! So in the main time my ass is chugging down beers (hubs work at the brewery) and enjoying the last days of summer. I can't believe we're 4 months from the end of the year... We want to be pregnant after our 1 year anniversary in Feb. Guess we'll be stimming around that time or already KU

Update-

Pretty sure this IVF transfer for the 17th will be cancelled. My body is hating the Estrace- horrid headaches, dizziness, high blood pressure etc. I'm pretty sensitive to medications so I'm not really surprised just extremely bummed. We don't want to risk the side effects not going away and still having the transfer and being miserable or transferring in not the best health.

I'm still waiting on the for sure word from my Doctor (who is on vacation of course). Crazy thing is my Mom had the same side effects with Estrogen after her hysterectomy.

Now onto researching Natural transfers which I know little to nothing about and hopefully am a good candidate for.

Do you wanna know what's so ironic? I have been pregnant 3 times and not once did I get a positive from POAS. I think when that happens I may just ball my eyes out.

Holls214 I'm so sorry you're having these awful side effects!! Are you wearing a patch or is it the estrace? Today I'm having the worst headache, I assume its lack of sleep but it could be the meds who knows. I'm really sorry you're canceling but you know your body best and need to do whats best. We're asking our body to do a lot...I totally get it! You know some ppl get twins with natural cycles so you never know

When is your dr back? Have you stopped taking everything? When I stopped the estrace I went in for bw/us so we could see where i was at, I had the 2 follies growing and then I triggered to force me to ovulate and start my cycle, probably took about 2 weeks. I get you're bummed but hope you start feeling better!!

@KZ1126 yay!!! i love hearing great updates, ur lil pnut is starting to look like a baby now! When the next US? Are you finding out the gender? so glad you're progressing well!

mrsa2017 you keep on chugging away and enjoying it! Its so crazy how everyones journey is different. I'll never knoe what it is to conceive naturally and you experienced it 3x and didn't even know. I totally cried tears of joy and disbelief seeing my first BFP ever. I actually did a video from that day. Its bittersweet having it. I'm excited for you to get started!! Did you really just say we're 4 months away

AFM: Today has been a tough day - having twins I shouldve delivered sooner but today was my due date and its just sad.
My E2 did rise to 400 and 7/8 follies are all on point...one is at 6.5 so we shall see if it perks up. Tomorrow I'll go to acupuncture and hopefully that will help make this eggs super strong and normal!

@Hopeful_mom I was taking the pill form 3 times per day. I think my doctor is back next week which is when the transfer was supposed to be but they were going to try to consult with her today... I honestly should have done my research on different cycles beforehand and asked about a natural fet. I have been super sensitive and get almost every side effect from meds. Like Femara was horrid for me. Oh well. Hoping this doesn't delay things like crazy. My hubs is in London for work so that makes everything harder too...
I'm so sorry that today should have been your day. That's really rough. Thinking about you. This process is so rough. I'm happy to hear your eggies are doing well!! 7/8 is great. What day of stims are you on?! Come on eggies grow!

@Hopeful_mom I understand your sadness. My DH and I always try to imagine what age our kids would've been right now... Sigh.. When I get sad about them, I just rub my tattoos. I got each of their dates tattooed right above my C section scar.

Today will be day 8 of stemming. I'm curious to see what tomorrow will show, I actually dont want to trigger yet as I dont know the dr on call over the weekend...so lets hope i'm having a nice even moving growth. Its funny how much you have to hope and pray through this process!

@Hopeful_mom so sorry you aren't feeling well. Dang hormones messing with our bodies. Yes I have been researching non medicated cycles too. We officially cancelled my cycle. I'm to start provera to induce a period and meet with my doctor on the 22nd. I'm gonna start a cleanse tomorrow and see if that helps kick start my health.

I don't blame you for not wanting a different doctor to do your ER. I also had a different doctor for mine because the 4 doctors work on rotating weeks. It worked out fine but I like my doctor better lol that's why I chose her. Hopefully you can hold out until Monday!

My clinic has 3 RE and unfortunately I've met them all...they all happen to be really nice. In fact my OH wanted me to switch to one of the other RE as he thought they had a better bed side manner but I didnt want to. My RE still knows her sh*t! It a completely different RE altogether on call so I really dont want to go down that road. My issue as crazy as this will sound, my RE has done so far all of my ER except ONE, and the one she didn't do where i got the most eggs from they were all abnormal. SO I feel like shes my lucky charm and that means I would have to get to sunday before triggering...I guess we will see what tomorrow will have to show...

ok - seems like i'll be at the RE's office everyday till go time now...E2 is rising which is nice to see at 756 but i am concerned about my bigger follie coming in at 19 with another 2 at 17 and 16.5. my other 5 range from 11.5 - 14.5 so obviously I really need those to perk up now. They might trigger me tomorrow but it all depends on how it goes so its back to the RE in the am. I know I'm close but every day at the dr is no fun either. I know its funny that i'm sitting here hoping I can make it to a sunday trigger to have my own RE do the ER on tuesday.....and watch she will call out sick that day

So in answer to your question I would LOVE to do a fresh transfer 100% so much that I asked my RE after the ER can I do a fresh transfer with one of my pgs tested normie on day 5....so hopefully the blasts I get can go for testing...trying to stay positive

Anyhoo she did say that I can do eat HOWEVER they success rates of using frozen within a fresh cycle doesn't have as high success rate. IF I had 10 normies in waiting for me I wouldve tried it BUT since I have only the few I want and need to give them the best possible chance I can SO its onto the FET after this cycle...hopefully!!!

@Holls214 I really wanna know about this cleanse as well. I know what a Cleanse is suppose to do but the ones I have heard about puzzles me with the food choices people decide on.

Soooooo my coworker told me today that he and his wife has to talk about IVF and I felt so good sharing a bit of information with him. If he opens up more about it, I want to suggest TB to him for her. This is a great community and any information is helpful. Yikes imagine when I start swimming and actually experiencing it... @Hopeful_mom You got some big follies going. How did your apt go today? Are we triggering?

@mrsa2017 I love your positive attitude. I'm feeling that the next couple of months are going to be a whirlwind for you. It is definitely nice when there is someone in real life that can relate to all this.

@Holls214 I am so sorry to hear that the effects of the estrace was so miserable for you. Did you have similar effects before?

AFM - I had a good ultrasound on 7/31 at 7 weeks and 2 days. Embaby was measuring one day behind but with the one day either way margin of error no one was concerned. Heartrate was a 132. It was my first good ultrasound. The np said that there is a 90% chance of the baby being a take home. If the next ultrasound the percentage increases to 95%.

My next u/s is on Thursday, 8/17. I'll be 9 wks and 5 days. If it is good I'm going to graduate from RE. Per usual super nervous that something is wrong.

So many thoughts to you ladies. Fx so hard that you ladies get your BFP soon. Tough road but it'll make things so much sweeter in the end. Hugs to all.

You just chime in and update us!! I knew there was an US update i was missing! Sounds like things are perfect sooooo exciting!!! One day ahead or behind is just fine! I'm nervous for you each IS and appt is always one step closer so its very exciting. You're next appt is going to be awesome and you should see some wiggling toes. I watch the video I did and sound like such an idiot, I literally say, what are those, are those toes? Like I missed the lesson in anatomy class and dont know what toes are. I dont know if its the caffeine in the DECAF coffee from dunkin (i swear i think they switched it) but i just feel super anxious! Today i had a different tech so i'm trying to not stress too much over the sizes that she measured. E2 was 969 yesterday and just went up 100 to 1069 so since it hasn't gone up that much we believe its time to go so we dont lose any...which then means I dont get my RE for ER BUT i get the dr thats the head of the clinic so hoping he can be just as much of a good luck charm

I've got 21.5, 20, 19.5, 19, 16.5, 15.5, 12.5, 10.5, 9.5 soooo it seems like 2 have shrunk a lil and others have stayed the same so i'm really hoping that each follie will have a good mature egg ready to go!!! I'm surprised i'm this nervous for it....but excited that its go time!!!

@Hopeful_mom Miracle grow for normies your way!!! DH can't go with me and a friend of mine that has been through losses offered to go with me to the ultrasound. I'm going to take her up on that offer. I'm hoping she can take a video! Hope it is allowed.
We are not going to find out the sex. He wouldn't mind, but I want to be surprised. There are so few true surprises left in life : )
