@Magallyta this is my first too. We had to do a freeze all due to moderate ohss. It was the plan before ER and kinda figured that would be the case. Hopefully you can get the answers on Wednesday. We decided to do testing because of the freeze all and for piece of mind.

AFM- I'm lost today. Frustrated and unsure where to go from here.... basically ever since I started the double dose of estrogen pills I have felt horrible. Horrible headaches, back pain and dizziness with anxiety. It's been a week with these symptoms. Hormone meds and me don't mix well. I guess my fear is that I will need to cancel my cycle since I can barely do anything. A girl in my Resolve group had the same side effects and said thy didn't go away until she stopped the estrogen. That would be 12 weeks from now if we get a positive. UGH! I don't know what to do. Should I cancel my FET for the 17th and wait to do a natural cycle or just hope that one day I start to feel better?! Also my DH is in London for the week for work so that's awesome. Thanks for letting me vent.

@Magallyta from what I understand the Valium helps not only relax you but also relax the uterus... after all it's a muscle.

@aligoodmorning1 that's very exciting! Your beta is tomorrow?

@kjplaza how did it go?

AFM... my appt was delayed by 50 minutes. So I peed when I got there and started drinking all over again. But then drank too much and for the first time in my life, was able to pee and stop half way! Didn't realize women could do that! Haha.

Then the transfer was easy. Got back home and was dead tired from the Valium and just took a 2 hours nap...

im thinking to say at work tomorrow that I will stay and WFH...

@Holls214 that's terrible that you are feeling this way!!! Is there anything you can take to make you feel a little better?

maybe even a different type of estrogen??? I'm doing the vivelle patches. Maybe your bad reaction is to type of pills you're taking?

@prudence9-2 I'm so happpy that you are PUPO. Sorry everything was delayed. I didn't know you could stop peeing lol. Valuim always makes me sleepy too. Glad you got a good nap on. Learn something new everyday.
Im taking the Estridol pill. 3 times a day now. I called and emailed my clinic but haven't heard back. I would hate to cancel my cycle but I can't go on feeling this way. Argh. Frustrating.

@Holls214 so you just went through a fet? Is there any diffference in the transfer given between fresh & fet? Just asking as I would love to ask Valium to relax for whatever transfer I decide to. For EG I felt more relaxed knowing I would be out for it.

@Holls214 when I first got there and they told me about the delay they said just stop peeing after 2-3 seconds and I couldn't. So I had to drink again. But when it was still taking time I peed again and managed to stop! Haha.

I would def ask for estrogen alternatives. I don't take any estrogen pills. Just the vivelle patches. Maybe the patch would feel better. It is worth trying!

@Magallyta I haven't done the FET yet it's scheduled for the 17th.
@prudence9-2 haha know we know. Did you get to see the embaby before it went in? Did you decide to work from home tomorrow? Hope you are feeling good. I will definitely ask about switching maybe that's the problem. Fingers crossed!

@Holls214 hopefully they can get you some kind of alternative I also get headaches and mood swings with the estrace but they do seem to be leveling off.

@aligoodmorning1 congrats I definitely see a 2nd line!

Afm my nerves were high this morning just scared they would call and say 1 or both embryos didn't survive the thaw but they called and said everything was a go. My clinic has never offered Valium but once I get there I'm pretty relaxed. We transferred 2 non tested embryos and the dr said technicality wise everything was as perfect as it can be and now it's just up to the quality of the embryos. My first beta is Saturday but I'll probably poas Thursday or Friday

wow your beta is early. My clinic does it at 14dp5dt! I will POAS beforehand. But not sure how soon!

@prudence9-2 Yeah I'm gonna call again tomorrow and hopefully get to talk to someone. I also emailed them so I will harass until someone talks to me. Haha.
@kjplaza yay!! Excited for you too. That is an early beta which is nice so then you don't have to wait. I think my clinic also does them later so I would definitely POAS. Congrats ladies!! Hoping we get a lot of positives in the group.

@Holls214 Hopefully they can figure something out for you so you can keep going with this cycle. Feeling like you can't do anything is horrible...so I can't imagine for the next 12 weeks.

@prudence9-2 congrats on the great transfer! I hope the little embie sticks!!

AFM I called and spoke with a nurse yesterday about my un-fluffy lining. She said it is nice and thick but not consistent throughout. I guess some spots are thick and fluffy and others are thinner. This is apparently somewhat common and women who stay on the estrogen can see changes. She said it could take one or two more follow up monitoring visits. Also my doctor doesn't cancel for my lining being too thick. This made me feel better. Hopefully everything gets fluffy in the next few days.

Update-

Pretty sure this IVF transfer for the 17th will be cancelled. My body is hating the Estrace- horrid headaches, dizziness, high blood pressure etc. I'm pretty sensitive to medications so I'm not really surprised just extremely bummed. We don't want to risk the side effects not going away and still having the transfer and being miserable or transferring in not the best health.

I'm still waiting on the for sure word from my Doctor (who is on vacation of course). Crazy thing is my Mom had the same side effects with Estrogen after her hysterectomy.

Now onto researching Natural transfers which I know little to nothing about and hopefully am a good candidate for.

@Holls214 sorry to hear that!

From what I know about non medicated FET is that they are much shorter which is a HUGE plus!
And then after you don't need months and months of estrogen and PIO which is another huge plus!

My RE didn't recommend it to me because she was afraid my lining won't be good enough.

@prudence9-2 last time I got mine checked on bcp it was at a 9 or so. Hopefully it will be a good route for us. Just frustrated with another delay. We did our last iui in January so we have been in the ivf process since then. Thanks for letting me vent.

@Holls214 oh trust me, I know how upsetting another delay is. My FET was canceled back in June... this process is a lot of just sitting around and waiting. And it's not easy

did you use any Lupron with the estrogen? I had about 10 days of Lupron and then added the estrogen. And stopped the Lupron last week when I started the PIO.

It's so confusing. There are so many protocols.

@Holls214 you're right, it is the hardest. Because at least with everything else you're doing something.

Since you didn't use Lupron do know how they prevented ovulation? In a medicated FET you're not suppose to ovulate.

@Holls214 are you feeling any relief now that you stopped the pills?

so they told me not to put direct heat on my stomach. So after PIO I have heat pad on my butt, which is fine.

Anyway, at acupuncture this morning she had the bed heat on. It did heat up my back. But at some point I felt it was too much and I pressed the bell and she came over and lowered it. I'm feeling kinda feverish now. Not sure why. I hope that heat on my back didn't cause damage. Ahhh.

@prudence9-2 not quite yet. Hopefully tonight or tomorrow. I'm going to start provera tomorrow to induce a period and get started all over again. Meet with my doc on the 22nd. Going to start a mild cleanse too.
Hopefully that's okay. Maybe you just got too hot and that's why you don't feel good... I hear acupuncture helps after transfer. Thinking about you!!!

Update: after a stressful am going to doc office, back & forth calls with doc & talks with my hubby. We decided that pgs testing was the right thing. Doc highly recommended we do this vs fresh transfer. I currently have 2 good embroyos to test & waiting to hear any updates on how the 3rd is doing. I am going on vacay next week so in a way I will be able to relax a little before FET. It will probably be end of aug.

@Magallyta we did PGS testing also and left it was a good decision as if we didn't I felt like there would have been some unknowns. Hopefully the 3rd will join the party!
@prudence9-2 I definitely always get in my own head too... ugh.

@Holls214 yeah, all I can think now is whether my body temp was too high when I was lying at the acupuncture appt yesterday. Ahhh. (The heat was on my back. But I feel like my body temp went up!)

@Magallyta at least you will be on vacation during the PGS testing wait. I wasn't and just waited by the phone all week haha.
@prudence9-2 I think you should be fine. My doctor said just no high high raises in temp like a bath or hot tub. And I'm exhausted today but a little better. My dog for some reason kept barking last night and my hubs is in London so it freaked me out. Hopefully I can get a nap in today.
