R/R: I ovulated! I ovulated! I ovulated! I'm a little bummed that I'll probably have to wait until Saturday to get my CHs since I'm not sure I will sleep at all on Friday, but I'm pretty happy regardless.

R/R: all rave - headed "up north" to the thumb of MI for beach vaca with the girls tomorrow. It'll be pretty chill so hopefully I'll have time to keep bumping. Hope the drinking and funky sleep schedule won't mess with my chart too much. I'll keep my normal alarm to temp.
CS/Q: question... what time of day does everyone use opk? I used the ones you pee on a couple times years ago so it's pretty new to me. I started OPKs yesterday since I have 50 wandfos and wanted to see what they were like. But I don't get home until 5:30. I'll be on vaca for a few days so I can do it whenever I'm not at the beach but I read you want to try to keep the same schedule if possible. I've read it's best to do late morning / mid day but usually I'm at work. Does anyone do this at work? I imagine it's easier to use ones you pee on than the wandfos at work in a public bathroom. Any advice? Thanks

@pebbledam Yay for ovulating! Also, what kind of dogs and cats do you have? We have one pup (he is actually almost 8), but we have been debating getting a second dog.
@cards10 Your girls' weekend sounds like so much fun! Any fun plans? Will you all cook the whole weekend or go out to eat? Will you share a room with anyone? (I think that was my challenge at the beach last month...trying to temp with my mom in the room! ha!)
As for your question regarding OPKs, I try to test at the same time each day (usually 12pm and 10pm because I read it was good to space them apart by 8-10 hours if testing more than 1x a day). I set an alarm on my phone. Occasionally, I will even test FMU too just to be safe because I have gotten positive opks really early in the morning (and not the not before).

@cards10 Totally hio over cm!! Every time! Have an amazing time at the beach too. Super jealous about that. I have just done the once a day testing with opk's. When I got home and still managed to catch my surge. However I know some start testing twice a day when they feel they are close. Just to be sure not to miss it.

GTKY: Aside from essentials, what do you spend the most money on? Its between the house and the dog. Our dog tore both of his ACL's before he was two years old. Between the surgeries, therapy and meds, he is now worth more than my car (not that that is saying much, but still). He still continues to be accident prone, you know knocking out his front tooth etc. But damn he is cute and so worth every penny!

thanks, I'll do it a couple times a day to see how long my surge is so I don't miss it. I imagine I'll be doing it for a while since I've only confirmed O once with temping and it was CD17, but oh well I have a lot of cheapies.

@dukestar5 re wine... I do not really stick to brands, there are some I'll recognize and get again but it's mostly me just seeing which label sticks out to me lol. And we collect corks so ones that aren't screw cap. I know they're "just as good" but I want the cork! Lol. My fave regions are Argentina, Italy, and California. I like Pinot, malbec, and blends. We tossed pretty much everything we had at the apartment and started from scratch when we moved to our house. It's been a slow process but it's starting to come together. I also agree with others about the pets. If I count cumulatively versus the past year, it'd be my dog hands down.

@cards10 I usually take my OPKs mid-afternoon to early evening. I'll also take one mid morning today just because I got a strong one last night and want to see if it keeps going. But I work from home most days so it's a bit easier. Can you do it on your lunch break?

Also... I am pretty sure I O'd on CD20 but my temp hasn't gone above 97.4 yet. Last cycle I never even got into the 98s. Is this a bad sign?? Can you get KO with low temps like this? I feel like everyone who is pregnant at least gets in the low 98s.

But lately it's been back to school supplies, make up and clothes for my toddler. I have a Sephora wish list and whenever my husband makes commission I would buy 1 or 2 items off the list. Even though I am no pro at make up I enjoy watching tutorials and trying to get better at it.
I see a lot of you ladies spend $ on Lularoe. That was me about a year ago. Now I hate Lularoe. I think the quality is pretty terrible and a lot of the clothes are super unflattering. Unpopular opinion but there it is.

@dukestar5 -- Yes, books. I freaking love books and recently I am buying books less for pleasure and more for information. Like... how to feed a fussy toddler or how to teach children in poverty (I am a teacher).... I miss reading for fun. Which type of books do you prefer? I haven't even finished the last Harry Potter book. WTF is wrong with me?!

@nitnat007 Awww poor puppy! We though our dog was pretty expensive (we had to rip out our 4 foot fence and replace it with a 6 foot fence, becasue she kept jumping it, and she was quite sick when we first got her) but I think you win!

@garnetandgoldgrace Others on here might know more than I do, but I don't think the absolute temp matters as much as the difference between pre and post-O temps. I have read though that if your post-O temps are really close to your coverline it can mean low progesterone. That might be worth asking your doctor about if that's the case.

@nitnat007 Your dog is adorable!! We have a black lab and a lab/Sheppard mix. We spend so much money on our dogs too. We have our two dogs insured, and I am so glad I do as they have needed three surgerys for a tooth removal (same tooth, but it kept opening up), one surgery to remove the silverware holder that he ate from his stomach, lots of visits for kennel cough, a visit and xrays for bruised ribs and another visit for a test to see if he had something stuck in his stomach again... Good thing they are so darn cute!

@cards10 PNVs actually could (potentially) help a person get ku if they otherwise would be vitamin deficient in some way. I think for example Vitamin C and D deficiencies can cause fertility issues. Seems like you've gotten good advice on the OPKs already. I agree with the recommendation to use them twice a day the first month you use them. I actually have generally used FMU and then tested again at night (I drink a lot of water, it can be hard to stop drinking water and hold it for four hours). I never get a first positive from FMU, always an evening positive followed by an FMU positive, so I decided to try waiting this month to test early/mid-day, but at any rate I was always catching my surge the other way.
@nitnat007 OMG! Those dog eyes are so precious! We had a chocolate and black lab pair when I was growing up (sisters from the same litter) and the chocolate had those same golden eyes.

@cards10 When im using pee stick opk's i do twice a day, morning and evening (i think my evening tests are more accurate) but now im trying this CBE digi monitor and using it mornings. Since it has me checking on CD6 which is hella early for me, im holding off doing my accompanying pee stick checks (yup also using pee sticks!). So I'm a fan of mornings if that works for you, but if youve tried several cycles and no clear positive: get a ton of internet cheapies. Check morning mid day and evening and see which of the three works best. (ive seen girls who get positives mid day instead of morning as well). Then go with the time of day thats best for you.

@garnetandgoldgrace - Considering I ovulated on CD60 last cycle, I would say O-ing on CD23 is practically a miracle! As far as the temps go, I usually only get a couple of temps above 98* in the TWW. My coverline is usually around 97 - 97.2. Oh, and I nominate @SkilledSailor to come decorate for you!

CS/Q: Nada. I guess that small temp shift I had on CD 9 last cycle was O, which have me a 12 day LP. Better than when I came off Nexplanon!

Do snacks count? I buy a lot of snacks that I can eat at work and on the go because I basically live out of my car. Other than that, definitely chapstick. Chapstick addict over here. H gives me flack for it all the time.

@cards10 i know others have answered, but I'll share what I do too. I typically use them mid-morning. around 10:30, so at work, like @pebbledam suggested I've used the foil package as the "cup" (actually thanks to her suggestion) or I've even snagged a disposable coffee cup and used that. It doesn't look out of place in the trash. If I'm close to O or in my FW I will also do one in the evening after having at least a few hour hold around say 7pm. I've been O around CD 17 lately but lo and behold this cycle is looking like CD 14, so I start using 2 a day around CD 12

@garnetandgoldgrace I am a terrible decorator...I feel you on the empty walls. I don't know that there is any "normal" post O temp since everyone varies so much even cycle to cycle.
