@Twinkiedoll I just want to clarify - We did the layering method with the crib sheets and mattress pads, so that is why unused so many...I would then be able to strip one layer off, and have a fresh layer underneath. Makes middle of the night accidents easier to deal with. If you don't plan to do that, then you may not need as many.
So does the pee not leak through to all of the crib sheets below? Or do you layer each with a sheet and mattress pad?

By the time we stopped using diapers/pullups for sleep, we were ready to move to a twin bed. So I never did need anything more than the multipurpose pads on the crib. I only layered them like that for about the first year though.
Baby wearing question - I just got a solly wrap (like a moby but more breathable not as hot) - how soon after the csection Can I use a wrap?
I'm not a huge baby wearer (although I hope to do it more with this LO), but I would assume almost right away. I got a Solly as well and they recommend you wear it quite high with a newborn. I carried DD at 2 days old in it and there was no pressure put down low (it sat right around my belly button). As soon as you are cleared to hold LO, I would assume you were safe to use the wrap.

I had my daughter in a wrap as soon as we got home from the hospital. It should not interfere with your incision. Just make sure you don't tie it back around to the front of your waist.
@Twinkiedoll Great question! I've been wondering the same thing for years. Especially when I see a bunch of strollers parked together at places like theme parks. What's to stop people from upgrading to someone else's stroller?? Now I'm off to google "The Club"' for baby gear.

Stuff for when baby starts purees/solid foods? Like plates, bowls, spoons, sippy cups, etc. If you plan to make your own food, a baby food processor and storage containers. Bibs actually for eating (vs slobber/spitup). Clip on counter chair. Developmental toys/books.
@glitterfish-2 Rae has good suggestions. For bibs, I recommend the silicon ones that can be put in the dishwasher or easily washed, so you're not adding laundry. You may also want to add baby-proofing items: outlet covers, table corner covers, anchors for furniture. Books, definitely. A teething necklace for you to wear. Stacker toys.
@glitterfish-2 I second the silicone bib, feeding supplies, and baby-proofing stuff. Also clothes, obviously, and hats (we like the kind with the chin strap). Shoes can get pricey so registering for a nice pair of sandals and/or closed-toed shoes in each size could be good. We didn't put many shoes on DS until he started walking, which for him was around shoe size 4, but of course that can vary... And of course toys! DS enjoyed his jumperoo for several months and STILL likes his exersaucer at 18 months (we rarely put him in it but he plays with it from the outside). Other favorite toys include:
Recently (around 17 months) we got a water table and a swing, both of which he loves and we could have used sooner. Depending on your guests and how much you want to register for, another big ticket item is the convertible car seat.
@glitterfish-2 the fisher price sit me up is awesome. If you started with the infant bucket car seat you could also register for a convertible. We switched DS around 6 months because he was getting too heavy to carry on the bucket seat.
@Twinkiedoll I've been going to Disneyland for over 20 years. In the past 5 years we've added kids(and strollers) to the mix. We go a few times a month, always taking or stroller but have NEVER locked it. I've never had a problem. Not saying it doesn't happen, I've just never seen it or experienced it. (And we have a Bugaboo stroller, so it's not cheap)
@Twinkiedoll. Chiming in on the stroller lock. I live in San Francisco and strollers are stolen all the time. I've seen people lock the stroller to a bike rack with a bike lock.

i have a baby monitor that runs only on wifi and only on my phone. I need something like a very basic Walkie talkie style sound only monitor preferably for three rooms! One in the lounge and two in other areas so I can walk around everywhere and hear him. Any recommendations? I'd like it to be as basic and simple as possible (no video)
Can anyone weigh in on diapers that run narrow? DD is long and skinny and currently just shy of 9lbs at 5wks. We have been using Pampers Swaddlers and the NB size is just starting to get a little small. They look low rise and we have had a few leak b/c they are too full. However, the size 1s are too big. We can't get the waist tight enough, the crotch hangs low, and most concerning the leg holes are loose and residing on her thighs instead of the leg/hip crease, which means that they leak for a different reason. We tried Up&Up size 1 with the same luck. Do any of the other brands run narrow/small (or wide/big) in these sizes?
I could only use pampers but DS otherwise he would leak and now every pampers I put DD in she leaks out of so now we're only huggies. So weird how that works!
@optbaby2017 Lurker from August. We had the same thing happen with pampers...newborn seeming too small and size one too big. We switched to Huggies. It seems they are softer and you can stretch them more to get them tighter.
I am a Huggies fan as well. They are the only diaper I use. @PurplePoppy424, why do you hate their wipes? We got a bunch for free so are using them currently, but am curious as to why you don't like them
Ok...so we have been using the baby monitor we had with DS1. Yesterday I realized that it is not working anymore. Ugh! Recommendations on a new baby monitor? Not looking for anything fancy. We are pretty content on just having an audio monitor (although open to video if somebody can convince me why we need it!)
We're using both pampers swaddlers and huggies lil snugglers since we got a box of both as gifts.The snugglers fit a little better. Baby girl is also between size N and size 1 at around 9 3/4lbs. But we're using 1s now. Although I love the stretchiness of the Huggies, my major complaint is that the tape sticks to EVERYTHING which makes it harder to fold the dirty ones after changing. It's so much easier to make the little bundles/rolls with the pampers at 3am.
@Cynth0104 Huggies wipes are tough and fall apart easier. (ETA: They literally tear apart as I pull them out of the canister. It's infuriating.) They tend to give both of my kids an irritated bum because of the toughness. They're super frustrating to deal with, IMO. I like the pampers sensitive wipes and the Amazon house brand sensitive wipes WAY better. They hold up better and they aren't near as rough on their bums.
