I saw a few people mention cravings and some aversion on the symptoms thread, and figured that it could warrant a thread of it's own. (If not, let me know...this is my first time starting one!!)
So what are you craving? Anything crazy yet? What about food aversions?
If this is not your first pregnancy, did you crave or get disgusted by the same things or different things last time?
Re: Cravings & Aversions Thread
I also went through a phase where I wanted McDonald's fries with Wendy's frosties. Lol...I wouldn't mind that one again either
My food aversions right now are pretty much everything.
I don't really have many cravings but the only foods I can stomach are bland breakfast foods-oatmeal, cheerios, waffles, etc.
With my last pregnancy (with DD) I craved everything sweet, all kinds of fruit (I didn't like fruit prior to that pregnancy), and pickles (ate a jar of pickles a day in the third tri and then wondered why I was so swollen). I had a major aversion to Greek yogurt, which I used to love, and still can't eat it to this day. Made me puke the second I smelled it.
With #1 I wanted pizza and toaster strudels in the beginning
#2- spicy food- the hotter the better
I haven't had cravings really yet with this one.
I've been hoping a post like this would come so I could find a new craving!
Edited because I forgot to mention previous pregnancies cravings/aversions: With my son I could've lived off of Chinese food and skittles. So weird. There honestly wasn't a single food aversion with him. With our daughter I basically only ate chicken. I was soo nauseated with her all day long until 26ish weeks. Spaghetti, lasagna, and tacos were my aversions. My husband had to do their employee meal so I made tacos (before realizing it was an aversion) and I was sooo sick while making the meat. Our house and car smelled like it for weeks. It was so, so awful and I can still occasionally smell it. We now are unable to have tacos again. I'm just all around constantly nauseated again so my gut says it's another girl! My skin was also terrible with our daughter and it is again, so...
With DD I craved hamburgers and red meat during 1st and 2nd tri. In 1st tri with DS, I had an aversion to meat (go figure!) especially chicken, and craved mushrooms and carrots my entire pregnancy.

Meat sounds gross. So does vegetables. Basically fruit and cheese right now is what sounds good.
I feel like im already having cravings this time around. Way earlier. Not to mention I'm hungry every hour or less. I've been trying to be good and snack on fresh fruit and veg, but it just isn't keeping me full.
Past two days I've been thinking about spicy food and salsa. My mouth was watering in the grocery store looking at the jars of salsa, and my stomach is growling now as I type this! Even though I just ate a grilled cheese sandwich 10 minutes ago.
Im also craving strong flavors like balsamic vinegar, and I don't think I could get enough garlic.
And my aversion is basically anything that I make for dinner.
**3 losses - April 2012, Nov 2014, and July 2017**
So far I don't really have any aversions, (although I couldn't eat my tomato on my sandwich on Sunday) but I've eaten homemade breakfast burritos everyday for a week.
I wonder if this means another girl?
With DD, I would leave my house at midnight just to go to Walmart to get cookies. I dont recall any aversions with her. I never had morning sickness with her either. With DS, I was sick as a dog and could hardly stomach anything at all. For about 18 weeks all I ate was saltines and cucumbers. Then I got severely dehydrated and had to go to the ER. After that I didn't have the morning sickness anymore and I ate a lot of dominos pizza and Wendy's.
DS born October 13, 2014
Baby #3 due March 2018
Cravings: fruit salsa, all the fruits and veggies, salad, pasta, avocados and tzatziki sauce
With DS, I had food aversions to chicken, sweet things, anything spicy and my whole second half of the pregnancy I could stomach even the thought of red sauce. I was so sad for no lasagna, pizza or spaghetti. My cravings would be random and short lived. One day I wanted a fudge sundae from McDonalds, but after I had it, I didn't want anymore. We moved back stateside after three years in my third trimester so I mostly craved all the fast food that I hadn't had for three years. Ha.

First pregnancy with DD I hated meat. Couldn't even look at it.
If you have a Taco Johns within a 30 mile radius, I suggest you check out their new "Lemonades". It's totally just Mist Twist (originally Sierra Mist) with flavoring, but it seriously hit the spot today. I got the Prickly Pear and it was shockingly good after the first few sips. My son got Strawberry and that was also good. They had Watermelon but we didn't try that. If you're needing carbonation, but sick of the usual, might be worth a try!
I feel a little queasy if I go overboard but it's been nice.
How about you ladies?
As for aversions, I can't have sweet things. I've tried animal crackers, apple strudel, cookies, brownies, applesauce, and various other things, and the second I taste them I have to spit it back out. I am a girl who loves her sweets, so it's kinda upsetting.
ETA: Added another craving.

I'm hoping I crave fruits and veggies this pregnancy - haha! I normally have an aversion to both during pregnancy and ended up gaining 70lbs with DS and unable to choke down vegetables until like third trimester.
I want pizza all the time but then it's not as great when I eat it. Mostly nothing sounds good other than veggies and fruit.
Basically from weeks 6-9 I had an aversion to anything that wasn't tan. The coffee aversion lasted longer, until about week 15 or so. I'm hoping to have a similar situation this time, but we shall see...
