I try not to put too much stock in the weight measurements especially towards the end. At our 40 week ultrasound we were told DD was barely 6lbs. She was well over 7lbs when I delivered 2 days later. Unless I get some ridiculous measurement that makes me feel like there is an obvious problem I'm just going with the flow. I will say being told he is 14oz at 21 weeks though did make me think about eating a lot more salads and less carbs....pregnant me loves carbs

This. I was told DS would be about 7lbs. He was 9lbs7oz. Late pregnancy weight measurements are notorious for being inaccurate.
A/S was this morning. Baby girl is healthy and normal! Weighing in around 12 oz and the 34th percentile on growth at 20+2! They said that was all normal and good!!!
Baby boy weighs 12 oz. and had a heart rate of 145. He is frank breech and was extremely active. I've felt his bony little butt near my belly button in the last week, making me uncomfortable, and was surprised that I was right about what body part it was! LO seems to have big feet and likes to sleep with his hand near his face like Mama. He waved to us a lot! DH was beaming and wanted to buy all of the clothes in Babies R Us. We got some great videos of our sisters telling our nieces and nephews!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
Never got around to posting this last week! Too busy prepping to leave. But the scan was good, though we go in for another scan on 7/24 because she said one kidney was hard to see with his position. I'm not worried though because she saw the other just fine and he's otherwise totally normal. She did say that he seems larger than 19 weeks and that he may be a few days earlier than we initially thought! Midwife appointment is the same date as the next scan, I do hope they're nice because it's the hospital midwife and I already love my hospital.

Had ours this morning. Everything looked great and they were able to get all the shots they needed. Have an anterior placenta - which I suspected. Baby girl was playing with her feet for most of it
Anatomy scan this morning. Baby is a girl and we are 100% in shock. Haven't heard from the doctor yet, but the ultrasound tech didn't say anything about any concerns.
I haven't posted in awhile but I am so excited to report some good news and will for sure be participating MUCH more. *TW* we had some really scary news at 13 weeks that our genetic testing came back suspicious for Trisomy 18. Our Dr wanted us to do an amnio, however I did not want to do invasive testing at that time because termination would not be an option for us so we decided to wait the terrible 7 weeks until our A/S. Well I am so happy to report our baby is PERFECT! We had the scan last Thursday and the tech didn't say much other than our baby was beautiful and moving around like crazy. When I didn't hear from the Dr the next day I figured no news was good news and today at work I snuck a peek in my chart and the report said everything looked great. Guys, I cannot begin to describe our relief! I have never prayed so much and so hard for something in my life. I am just so grateful and am happy I can get back to enjoying my pregnancy instead of trying to distance myself and prepare for the fact I may not have a baby to hold come November. I also want to thank all the ladies who have been so supportive with the little bit of info I've been posting here and there. I took a break from posting a lot just to try and prepare myself but trust me I lurk allll day long and love-tit all the time! I am so glad this is behind us and will be posting much more often again! *End TW* Anyways, sorry for the DD post!
Two more days until our anatomy scan and the anxiety is building, but I am excited. Given I feel no movement at this point, I am just hoping all goes well and it gives some relief.
@safinn21 so glad to hear that. @dragonfly87-2 we are getting closer! Definitely have been feeling anxious as it gets closer. Hoping for good scans for both of us!
Thank you all so much, the support from this group is second to none!
@dragonfly87-2@angkay711 good luck ladies!! I cried the entire drive to and from the A/S so I totally get the anxiety. I thought getting pregnant would be the stressful part - I had no idea how much I would love this LO and how difficult it would be to worry about every single thing during pregnancy!
@safinn21 such wonderful news after a 7 week wait!
@dragonfly87-2@angkay711 mine is tomorrow too! Even though I already know the sex, I'm beyond anxious to see my LO! All of my previous ultrasounds LO looks like an alien. Can't wait to see her look like an actual baby!
Had my AS today, all looks great! LO is healthy and right on track for growth. Good thing we are team green, because LO kept his/her legs tightly crossed the whole time so we wouldn't have been able to find out anyway! So relieved and happy!!!
Had my scan today but I wont hear anything until tomorrow or maybe next week from the doctor. I got an email from the clinic that said "your baby is developing normally" @Perfectypo we are team green and our baby was keeping the legs crossed but uncrossed them just enough that the tech could tell if we wanted to know. My husband was fishing a little which surprised me. I had to remind him we are team green lol.
Had my scan on Thursday. LO is perfect! I was so worried because of the extra sex chromosome that she has. I was expecting something to be abnormal. The tech was great, she explained everything she saw, pointed out all the organs and got some amazing profile shots. LO cooperated fully. She's measuring a few days behind but there is no concern and she weights 11oz. Doctor came in afterwards and said everything looks great. We talked about the extra sex chromosome and how it could affect LO. I don't have to go back to MFM until I'm 32 weeks. At that point I have to go every Monday and Thursday for a stress test and to have a quick ultrasound to measure the fluid.
Mine was last week and we found out I have a 2 vessel cord. Trying not to worry since they said it's "a variation of normal". But with my age and thyroid disease I am nervous. We go back to get another scan to ensure baby is growing 8 weeks from the A/S. Doesn't that seem like forever?
Yeah! Saw the baby. Tech didn't say much but explained everything we were looking at. The baby is right on track. Measuring 12 oz at 20w4d and we finally got to hear the heartbeat at 140bpm!
TW I had a follow up scan this morning to look at baby's spine and have walked away with more questions than I had going in. It's unclear if there's a problem or not. There's just something that looks unusual between the 2 and 3rd lumbar? I have to go back in 4 weeks for another scan. I need to follow up with my midwife and try to get some answers. The dr at the ultrasound place was so vague... Of course I've googled and out popped a million different spinal deformities and all the possible outcomes. It's hard not to let my mind go to the worst possibilities. I just keep holding on to the fact that if it is spina bifida, surely we'd know by now, with 2 scans. ugh. Say a little prayer if you think of it.
@kalenp ugh that is so frustrating. Sorry you are having to go through this. Hoping you get some more answers soon. Hard not to try and seek answers on your own but Google can sometimes make things seem more scary. Hang in there and will definitely say a prayer for you.
Like @lancomechica2 we found out baby girl has a 2 vessel cord. All of her organs looked great so I am really trying not to worry. I'm already on medicine for hypertension. The odds are in our favor that she will have no issues and make it to term. If the hypertension can cooperate and not turn into something else I am hopeful we'll see November. Our next scan is in a few weeks to check on her growth.
Thanks all.. I'm feeling better today. I trust that had the doctor thought that we should look more closely at it, we'd be doing something other than wait and see. So I'm just going to do that, wait and see. This has given me a large dose of perspective and made me realize how much I love this little bub inside. Boy, girl, healthy or not, I'm just excited to meet him or her and love them.
