@Redpuma119 I know, clearly this is less of an "exact science" then we'd all prefer. I pretty much am never sure anymore when my RE is saying something abnormal. Whenever I offer info to other people I always put a disclaimer in. I swear, half my posts in this thread start with "Well my RE is weird, but..."
@Redpuma119@vflux33 the last time I had a BW timing question (for progesterone) my RE's nurse told me to go in whenever I wanted. Sooooo I'll ask them tomorrow morning, but I'm not expecting a lot of guidance. (Insert eye roll GIF here)
@lund It's been so long since we talked to our RE about any testing related to me that I have sort of forgotten what their policy was on CD1, so take this with a grain of salt, but...for some reason timing similar to what @vflux33 described is tickling my mind, but that could just be from chatter here too.
@lund GL getting an answer from the nurse. I don't have any science to back up this opinion, but just for myself, I'd probably wait for CD 4 or 5. My clinic has had me come in on CD 4 before for scheduling reasons.
@kiwi2628 Sorry for the BFN. Hugs. I hope IUI #2 will do it for you.

Thanks for the advice ladies! I messaged me RE's office this morning, just waiting on a response.
@kiwi2628 Well f*ck. I'm so sorry lady. I hope you have an easy day today (or can just take some time off) to take care of yourself

@lund did you call your RE today? Did they say to come in today or Monday?
Question- for those of you who took progesterone after O how long did it take you to get AF after you stopped them? My last pill was Wednesday night, bfn Thursday morning (expected day of AF) and still no sign of her. Usually my LP is 12-13 days today is day 15
Well my RE's nurse said "You can have your 'day 3' blood work done anytime between cycle day 1-5. It is up to you if you want to go today or Monday, do whichever is easier for you!"
So, I might do it today since I have to drive to near the lab for work stuff today anyway (1.5 hr drive).
Clomid ladies: How do your doctors monitor your cycles? Did you have to ask for that monitoring or did your RE just order it?
I'm asking because I did one cycle of Clomid with my ob/gyn, who wasn't doing any monitoring besides CD23 bloodwork. I switched to an RE so I could be properly monitored and also because after my CD23 BW showed no ovulation, the ob/gyn told me to just keep taking the Clomid as prescribed. I asked her well what about forcing my period with Provera? I wasn't going to get one if I hadn't ovulated, and therefore couldn't take the Clomid as prescribed. She told me I'd get a period on Clomid even though I hadn't ovulated. BUT I'd just come off a 150 day cycle before that, so I called an RE because I couldn't go through it again. I love my RE and she acknowledges my concerns instead of just telling me to wait. I am concerned, however, that she does NO monitoring of my Clomid cycles. Not even CD23 BW. She just told me to use OPKs at home. The more I read from you ladies, the more I keep thinking that this isn't right.

@50wife That's fantastic news! I'll be keeping my fx that this was all it takes for you to get KU!
@beachbunnyxo123 I've never taken progesterone post-O (because I haven't O'd in 8 months), but I've taken it to bring on AF and start a new cycle. It usually takes me about 6-7 days to get AF (with spotting during those 6-7 days). But, again, this is not post-O, so idk how helpful that is.
@50Wife That's great! FX that was all you needed and can get this done on your own! I'm always surprised we don't see that more here, because it's kind of a big percentage of people supposedly.
@mamasaurus12415 I was told my office sometimes does additional blood work and additional u/s's, but the only one that was scheduled for me before knowing how I'd respond was the CD 12 u/s (and I didn't end up with other ones). My RE does those u/s's ranging from CD 10-12 and she put me at 12 since I tend toward long cycles (I think that's why). You only took Clomid for 5 days, right? Like CD3-7, 4-8, or 5-9? Can't tell from your post.
@50Wife I hope this does the trick and you get KU this cycle!!!
@mamasaurus12415 my RE brings me in for an ultrasound between days 10-13 and they draw my blood to test estradiol levels also.

@mamasaurus12415 I would seriously take issue with no monitoring. Since you have PCOS you should be getting a CD3 ultrasound to make sure you don't have hormone producing cysts before you start the Clomid (and btw Femara is supposed to work better for PCOS), and then if that ultrasound is clear you should have at least one more on CD11 or 12 to make sure you aren't hyperstimulating. I think it's really bad practice to not monitor a PCOS patient like this.
@vflux33 Yes, I take it days 3-7. The first cycle (50 mg) I took it days 5-9 and didn't O. This cycle, my first with the RE, I took 100 mg days 3-7 and O'd on CD18. At my initial appointment and the follow-up when she told us what our treatment would be, she didn't mention any ultrasounds or bloodwork.

@antoto I agree that it's concerning that she's not monitoring this at all. At our first appointment, she said she likes to use Femara more often because it tends to yield better results (we didn't even know then that I had PCOS) and she said she'd likely prescribe Femara. Then at the follow-up she told me she's putting me on Metformin and Clomid. No more mention of the Femara. I'm so confused lol

*lurking - but I have input on PCOS/clomid/monitoring* @mamasaurus12415 I second what @antoto said. You should have a US at the beginning of the cycle to check your lining and to check for cysts as clomid can affect these. And then an US when you are close to O to check number of follicles/size. A week after O then you do the progesterone bloodwork to confirm O. It's important not just to go by CDwhatever do this, because it can vary person to person. For example on clomid I tend to O around CD20, so if I went in for CD21 bloodwork it would show I didn't O, but really it's being drawn at the wrong time.

Hey MFI ladies but specifically @RVAmom315 , so I went to the urologist today and discussed results. As far as morphology, he said WHO standards are 4%. The idea behind morphology is that the sperm have a harder time penetrating the egg, but mostly the thought behind morph is that the slow ineffective sperm get in the way of the good sperm.
AFM: he was disappointed in the 47 sperm and said this was all he could do for H. He said we could try a double retrieval with a TESE/MESA like @AlohaKumu but he read a recent study that patients with "virtual azoo" typically have the same results with a microTESE or regular ejaculation. He talked a lot about donor sperm. Next step is to meet with fertility clinic and see what their suggestions are.

@JuneRoseRuby Wow, I'm really sorry to hear that. I had been so hopeful that ICSI would be the ticket for you guys with your 47. Who knows, maybe the fertility clinic will have other ideas. Really pulling for you guys
