@adirat that's awesome!!! I know it's scary, and it's ok to be scared! Some of the people that I respect the most live by the theory that nothing that's worth doing isn't scary We're here for you through all of it!
@beachbunnyxo123 I'm sorry. Also now you got me freaked out about the paternity suit thing. My RE showed me the vial of MH's sperm and made me confirm it had our name on it and sign a consent form, but like an idiot, I didn't read it all the way through because it had been awhile since we brought in the sample that morning and I kept thinking "they're dying right now lady, get them in there!" Of course I guess it makes sense since there are probably some people who have affairs while they are going through IF treatments and then blame the clinic? I mean, I don't think any of us would do that, but some people are cray.
@adirat That's exciting, but also totally scary vomit time. I hope you guys get lots of good info (or cancel b/c you're already KU by then with a perfect rainbow baby).
@beachbunnyxo123 I'm so sorry for the BFN. I would also be feeling "off", based on what you've described about your appointment. FX that your appointment next week goes well, and leaves you feeling a little better.
@beachbunnyxo123 Definitely meet with an RE and trust your gut. I'm guessing the paperwork is standard/recommended in the field, but if something seems wrong or like it could be better for patients, you always have a right to voice your concern.
@adirat I feel you. When we had to call the clinic for an IVF referral, I was so anxious. It's gotten better for me every day (to the point I feel excited!). You are a warrior and you are not alone in this journey!
Me: 35 DH: 28 TTC since June 2016 Azoospermia diagnosis (zero count) Dec 2016 AZFc chromosome microdeletion discovery March 2017 Unsuccessful TESE for DH in August 2017 October 2017 IVF with donor sperm

ERA Sept 2018--borderline receptive--12 more hours of progesterone Abnormal SIS Oct 2018 Repeat hysteroscopy Nov 1. Treated recurring endometritis. 12/4/18 FET #3 (2 embryos)--BFN Our journey has come to an end.
Count concentration and movement are fabulous, but morphology is 0%. Color me sad. DH is calling to make an appt with a urologist but thought I'd ask here to see if anyone else has this happening.
@beachbunnyxo123 I'm so so sorry about the bfn. I'm glad you have an appt on Monday with the RE. And I would feel uncomfortable about the midwife too. Maybe bring up what happened with the RE
so I called and cancelled my RE appt. I'm super modest and would rather see a female doctor (I know I'm ridiculous). My Bff posted in a moms group and asked about the doctors at the center and all the moms raved about this one female doctor. So I called today to switch and they said she's completely booked up for July and to call back the end of next week for August appts. I asked to be put on a wait list and the receptionist kinda laughed and said no one ever cancels for her--which makes me feel better (when I called yesterday, the dr they scheduled me for had plenty of appts available which made me nervous)
@purplg8r I don't think that's ridiculous at all. There is only one RE here and she's female so I didn't have a choice, but I've never seen a male OB. I'm sure they're all perfectly professional and qualified, but I just can't get over the "please know what it's like to have a vag if we're going to be talking vag all the time" thing. GL with your appointment!
@purplg8r Not stupid at all. It's great that you have a choice of providers and are able to see whoever you feel most comfortable with. I'd definitely rather see a woman, but my RE is the only RE I wouldn't have to drive 4 hours to see. This process is uncomfortable enough without you having to make yourself needlessly uncomfortable.
@RVAmom315 No advice here either, but l have lots of creepy internet hugs for you. I know there are some women on here who (unfortunately) know a lot about MFI though.
@purplg8r I'm glad you went with what you felt most comfortable about!! I wonder why they are making you wait to schedule for august and that you couldn't do that today? Maybe they aren't sure of her schedule yet but hopefully they can get you right in!
@lund My dr says that bleeding before noon should start CD1. Do, at his office, if I start AF today at 5pm, tomorrow is cd1. I agree that CD 4 is good too!
@adirat I'm so glad you called and were able to talk to an URL friend about having to take that step. Hugs girl!
@RVAmom515, so morph is one of our biggest issues (last count H's was 2% using Kruger Strict). Do you know if they were using WHO or KS guidelines? KS is much more strict about what counts as "normal and what doesn't. Morph is a tough one because for some people it makes no difference and for some people it can become a complete obstacle.
You said his count and motility were good right? Is he taking any vitamins/supplements? Cuasation of morph can be tough to pin down, but any little bit helps!
@zwink1 Oops hit send too soon. He's not on any vitamins yet but im headig to the store after work to get at least a mutilvitamin and coq10... anything else?
In addition to the multi and coq10, H is also on extra Vit C and Fish oil for the omega 3s. I honestly can't remember why I've got him taking extra Vit C off the top of my head, but I know it's supposed to help something MFI related.
@beachbunnyxo123 they didn't say why. Just that her August schedule doesn't open until the end of next week. Maybe they only do her a month in advance for new patients?
That's such a huge step @adirat. I'm so excited for you!!
There are many more, but I have to hit a meeting soon. So AFM:
Diagnosis: DOR/AMA
Cycle/CD: 21 (15AL)/CD26 13DPO (really, it's most likely CD1 of Cycle 22, but right now I'm just spotting and cramping and feeling super grumpy)
Status: really, let's be honest, WFAF
What are you doing this cycle: This was my last cycle of good old fashioned humping before beginning IUI with OH's frozen sperm.
How are things going: Crappy. See CD1 and cramping for reference. Also, I started spotting on 11DPO, which is still better than 9DPO when I usually do. But I liked it better when I began Progesterone supplements last cycle and had zero spotting.
On a lighter note, we are now shopping for a cryotank to store frozen sperm in between picking it up from the RE's office and my IUI procedure. We could probably rent one, but the likelihood is that we'll be at this a while, so we may as well just invest and have it available whenever we need it. This will be a whole other learning curve.
I will have something like this. In my house.
Any questions: Anyone have any experience in keeping genetic material frozen until use? Or with cryotanks?
GTKY: **TW** The best part of my weekend was getting to snuggle my 6 week old nephew. He is the sweetest, squishy-est little newborn, and I soaked up every second. I also very much enjoyed seeing my 5 other niblings (plural for nieces and nephews, I swear). It was a lovely time in my hometown. But I was very glad to come home to OH, who has been very frisky the last couple of days. Between my being gone and the testosterone making him kind of a beast, I've been getting lots of action.

@RVAmom315 On MH's recent SA, they didn't/couldn't even comment on MH's morphology on the 47 sperm, so I will ask the urologist about it tomorrow and ask him how much he thinks it matters. I honestly haven't even looked into any morph since it didn't matter previously.

@RVAmom315 MH is on the Theralogix Supplements which we got a coupon code for from our urologist, so he didn't recommend any other supplements on top of those. They have been tested and proven to improve motility and morphology. If he can get into the urologist quickly, I wouldn't go blow a ton of money on supplements until he gives you the list. I spent a ton of money on them and then he wanted us on the Theralogix instead anyways. ETA but in general Motility and count matter so much more than morph. Your likelihood of getting pregnant without ART is still higher if just morph is affected.

So DH got a little mad at me this evening when I used the phrase "I don't ovulate." He said it made things sound "so final" and that I should instead say "I'm not ovulating right now." So many emotions. Annoyance at his quibbling over semantics. Amazed by his faith in my ovaries to start spontaneously ovulating without medicine. Touched that he wants my language and thinking about this to only be 100% positive. A bit of fear that my ovaries will let this man down. ALL the feels.
ETA: I've got no GIFs for this one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
ETA: This came about because DH doesn't want to HIO while I'm on the Provera, since there's a link between it and some genital birth defects. My response was that there's no way I could get pregnant while I'm on the Provera because "I don't ovulate." Again, I'm amazed by his faith in my ovaries.

Thank you! This is extremely helpful because AF arrived at 5pm today. I was stressing about when to go in for the BW until I saw this, so I'm very grateful for the info!
@lund Sorry for CD 1. Hate to add confusion, but my RE's staff said any full flow before 10 PM and they count CD 1 as that day, not the next day. My clinic isn't always amazing, as I've told you before, but you may want to survey some other people just in case and/or call your RE in the morning to ask.
