@zamora_spin - I'm so sorry for your loss. I know many in your situation have found the TTCAL threads to be a good support system. I look forward to getting to know you :)

@eliz2791 - welcome! I originally used both glow and fertilityfriend and ended up dropping to just FF which most on here use. I like how quickly FF learns and adapts instead of putting all the emphasis on O happening 2 weeks before your period (lol if only). I also really appreciate how much FF does towards research and education. They have so much data and it can be really helpful to learn when something is in your head versus when something is actually off. As for timing of O, just as an FYI, ovulation pain can occur 2-3 days before O, on O, or even after O, so it's not always a good measure of exactly when O hits. Best wishes your stay here is short!

  • @zamora_spin Sorry to see you back here - big hugs

@eliz2791 Welcome - I'd like to second what @elisek said about FF over the other apps. I think I had three or four on the go at one point, but ended up dropping the others and just using FF. It's definitely the most common here, and it does learn to make more accurate predictions based on YOUR cycle - how early/late you O, how long your LP is, etc.
  • @zamora_spin I'm so sorry for your loss, I hope you find being on here is helpful.

@eliz2791 I will 3rd what the PP's say about FF, but I personally also use Ovia because it tells me what Cycle Day I am on without me having to track it manually plus what phase I am in (i.e. proliferative, luteal, etc. ) but in the end you got to do what's best for you!

  • @muggle621 FF also tells you CD on the calendar, doesn't it?

@zamora_spin I'm sorry you're back here but glad to see you're feeling up to joining in.  <3

@eliz2791 Yeah, I started out with Ovia, Glow, and FF. FF has been by far the most accurate. As far as temping goes, I use my phone as my alarm so I always put the thermometer on top of it so I can't forget or snooze or anything. I do sometimes just turn it off without looking at the temp, then go back to sleep, then check the recorded temp when I really wake up.

Thank you for your feedback! I just downloaded FF. I saw Ovia listed in the app store, but I think 3 might be too many to keep up with.
Should I go back through FF and try to update the info I put in Glow starting from CD 1? I'm only on CD 7 and I'm usually pretty regular to 28 days.

@eliz2791 Do it!! I would. My cycle is usually about 28 days but through temping and OPKs, I learned that I don't usually O until CD17.

  • @eliz2791 One thing to do if you are going to go back and enter data - set your 'default time' first (assuming you temp at/around the same time every day). Then you won't have to worry about changing the time, or them being considered unreliable because FF thinks you temped in the afternoon :)

  • Welcome, @Knottie5874391 You might think about changing your screen name into something unique. Makes it easier to tag you in posts! There's an option to do it if you log into the Knot. Then log out and back in and your SN should change.

  • @becausescience Welcome! From your SN, I think you are going to fit in well here :) There are lots of women here with experience using Clomid - definitely do some searching or ask questions (especially in the Chart Stalk thread), because not all doctors monitor you properly when using it

@labgrand2012 So sorry to see you back here <3

  • @LeilaK9288 Welcome - so sorry that about the test results. You may want to introduce yourself in the IF weekly thread as well, I know there are some ladies in there that are dealing with the same issue
  • kiki75kiki75 member
@LeilaK9288 I'm so sorry. That's such a blow. Definitely join us in the IF/Testing thread. We have a few people with very severe MFI, with different or unknown causes. Have they mentioned any theories on why he has azoospermia? Not producing? Not able to get out? Or did you just find out so you haven't done any of the following testing?
Here's a link to this week's thread. Just dive in: https://forums.thebump.com/discussion/12711084/if-testing-weekly-check-in-6-19/p1

@mdfarmchick Sorry for your loss.  What kind of photography are you into?

@LeilaK9288 That is a tough diagnosis - hopefully you're able to get some advice from others in a similar situation.

  • @LeilaK9288 Welcome  <3 You might check out the Benched/TTA thread from 6/12. Coincidentally, a couple of our super amazing ladies were having a pretty detailed convo about azoo this week:

Yep! They explained to me what "azoo" meant so great explanation! And welcome!
  • @becausescience we can move every 1-4 years because of my DH's job so I would like to get into portrait/family photography and/or product placement/advertisement as something I can do and still be home with our kid(s) most of the time and it should move pretty well. I have some good friends who are photographers who would let me shadow/apprentice with them if we ever end up in the same place again. I've looked into classes locally, but they are very out of our budget right now. So we shall see. Until then I've been doing a 365 photo challenge and reading up as much as I can with a toddler. Are you into photography??
  • edited June 2017
@mdfarmchick I like getting professional pics taken - I always look way better. I want take nicer pictures of my DD, but am not very good a posing and getting lighting correct.

You could try Skillshare for classes. I've taken a few on watercolor painting, watercolor lettering, and adobe programs that I liked. I think you can get the first month or two free.  (Just need to remember to cancel in time.) Shameless referral link: https://skl.sh/2rDqZE9

  • @mdfarmchick We have a Canon EOS M10 Mirrorless Camera Kit with EF-M 15-45mm. So not a DSLR, which I wouldn't know how to use anyways. I just do auto - someday I'll learn more about photography.

  • ((Geek alert))
Best decision of my life was to upgrade to a fixed ((prime)) lens ((basically it means that I move to zoom in or out)) and to adjust the settings myself. Let me know if you ever bite the bullet for a DSLR.
