What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)?

Re: Newbie Intro Thread Week of 6/19
Ages (you and SO): I'm 35, MH is 33, about to turn 34. We celebrated our second wedding anniversary this May.
How many months have you been TTC? We started TTC in March of this year. **TW loss mentioned** I was on this board briefly until I got my BFP on 5/14 and moved to my BMB, which was Jan 2018. We felt like we won the lotto. Unfortunately at our first u/s on 6/8, when I should have been 7w1d, all that the dr could see was an empty sac measuring about 5w. To be that wrong on dates I would have needed to conceive after my tests were positive, so I knew it was a bad sign. I started bleeding a couple days later, and at my follow-up appt on 6/13 inevitable miscarriage was confirmed. I took Misoprostol because the waiting was too much for me. It is still all very fresh but I have found talking about it and reading about other's experiences has helped me to start to process. ** end TW**
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Dr had indicated we could try as soon as we feel ready, I will probably bench myself for one cycle. I have a follow-up dr's appt on 6/29 to confirm all is clear and check hormone levels have gone to zero. We will stick with what we did the first time around for now - PNVs, reduced caffeine, green tea, pre-seed, BBT, OPKs, and HIO.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We have four fur babies - three dogs (all mutts, all rescued) aged 13, 6, and 3, and one cat who is 14 years old and basically requires a crazy level of attention to her dietary needs. I love to cook, and I also took up crochet earlier this year. I have a spin bike in my house and that is my main exercise along with some yoga thrown in. Unfortunately atm I am still exhausted all the time and not able to exercise.
How many months have you been TTC? We just started TTC in May, so this is month 2 and cycle 2 (I'm on CD 7)
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? BBT, CM/CP and charting on the Glow app, but I see a lot of people on here using others. I may download a few a try them all out for a while and see what I like best.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We have 1 cat that is about 6 yrs old, a 4 yr old Yorkie named Tank, and a Husky/Boxer mix named Riley who we think is about 4 or 5 yrs old. This is our first time TTC and before researching the past month I had no idea how much planning actually goes into it! I'm a little overwhelmed by it. Our process started in late Feb when I had my Mirena IUD of 3 years removed. I went back on the pill (ortho tri-cyclen lo) and I finished my last pack of the pill on May 13th. We decided to use the pill after the IUD until we were ready to start trying because we are currently in the process of building/buying our first house and weren't too sure how the process would go. Now we are looking at construction being done the end of July and moving the middle of August. This last cycle off the pill was interesting for me as I've been on some kind of BC since I was 15. We timed sex about my fertile days and I knew when I ovulated because I could feel it. I got cramps right around when I should have ovulated. I also could feel my body temp was higher, but I didn't do a good job of temping. I had the hardest time remembering to take it before getting out of bed or snoozing my alarm too many times. This cycle I've been doing pretty good with remembering to temp in the morning before getting out of bed. I did have some crazy headaches right before AF and all during. I'm not sure if that is a PMS symptom or just allergies/sinus right now. Fingers crossed it'll happen this month and then I can start looking forward to a spring baby in 2018!
TTC Since May 2017

@eliz2791 - welcome! I originally used both glow and fertilityfriend and ended up dropping to just FF which most on here use. I like how quickly FF learns and adapts instead of putting all the emphasis on O happening 2 weeks before your period (lol if only). I also really appreciate how much FF does towards research and education. They have so much data and it can be really helpful to learn when something is in your head versus when something is actually off. As for timing of O, just as an FYI, ovulation pain can occur 2-3 days before O, on O, or even after O, so it's not always a good measure of exactly when O hits. Best wishes your stay here is short!

@eliz2791 Welcome - I'd like to second what @elisek said about FF over the other apps. I think I had three or four on the go at one point, but ended up dropping the others and just using FF. It's definitely the most common here, and it does learn to make more accurate predictions based on YOUR cycle - how early/late you O, how long your LP is, etc.
@eliz2791 I will 3rd what the PP's say about FF, but I personally also use Ovia because it tells me what Cycle Day I am on without me having to track it manually plus what phase I am in (i.e. proliferative, luteal, etc. ) but in the end you got to do what's best for you!
Married: 5.27.16
Baby Boy Due: 3.18.18
@eliz2791 Yeah, I started out with Ovia, Glow, and FF. FF has been by far the most accurate. As far as temping goes, I use my phone as my alarm so I always put the thermometer on top of it so I can't forget or snooze or anything. I do sometimes just turn it off without looking at the temp, then go back to sleep, then check the recorded temp when I really wake up.

Thank you @kiki75 for reaching out. I'm sorry you've been through this twice now.
I have felt really supported by these boards (have been on the mc board and ttcal a little this past week). I am lucky to have some wonderful people IRL who care a lot, but those who have not been through it don't always help with their comments. I have seen it referred to as the World's Shittiest Secret Society and that's pretty much dead on.
Thank you for your feedback! I just downloaded FF. I saw Ovia listed in the app store, but I think 3 might be too many to keep up with.
Should I go back through FF and try to update the info I put in Glow starting from CD 1? I'm only on CD 7 and I'm usually pretty regular to 28 days.

How many months have you been TTC? 8 month before, now TTA for at least one cycle
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? TTA for now, but will start temping and OPKs once my cycle returns.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have a DS and two dogs, labs. I love to eat, spend time outside (as in my yard, not in the woods:) ), watch HGTV and sleep. I am hoping to start running again as I have been putting that off for over half a year.

How many months have you been TTC? This is our first month - I just stopped my last pack of birth control pills on May 6 and had my first normal period like clockwork on May 30.
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Charting, OPTs, and Pre-Seed
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) My husband and I just got married in December, 2016. We have two dogs - an 11 year old wirehaired dachshund mix and an 11 year old Aussie Shep mix. I was a paralegal for 5 years but currently a stay at home wife (soon to be mom, hopefully). I love cooking, photography, reading, watching movies and traveling. Before our wedding I was very active, exercised 4-6 days per week and ate a healthy diet so that I was able to lose 20 lbs for our wedding, but since then, I have gained some of the weight back and I'm hoping to get back into healthy eating and exercise while TTC.
I am so, so sorry you find yourself back here. Please know we are here to support you in any way you need. Hugs to you both. I hope you take care of yourself and allow yourself the time grieve the way you need to.

How many months have you been TTC? NTNP for 4 months, first month with RE
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? I have PCOS so my cycles are all over the place in length. *possible TW* When we were TTC my first, I met with my OB/GYN after an 80 day cycle (didn't know about the 60 day thing). My OB/GYN recommended seeing an RE because I likely don't ovulate on my own often. (Yay for PCOS
*sarcasm*) I am going that route again and just had my ultrasound to check for cysts/lining Saturday with her and started Clomid then.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) Ages (you and SO): I have a 10 month old DD and a 6 year old cockapoo. I love cooking and baking, reading, going on walks, and Netflix binging.

How many months have you been TTC? NT/NP since end of March when IUD was removed
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Had IUD removed in March, have been letting my body re-adjust itself and regulate over the last few months. Redownloaded the fertility friend app and found my old BB thermometer, plan to start temping again soon
Tell us about yourself! I was someone active on this board about 3 years ago when TTC for the first time. I found the board really helpful and learned so much from everyone. Took about 6 months the first time and we are ready to start actively trying again as DS turns 2 on Sunday! I work full time in a surgical center and chase a crazy 2 year old the rest of the time. No one really knows we are going to start trying again, so I figured I come back here in hopes it would be supportive as last time. Good to be back, ladies!

Ages (you and SO): I am 29 years old, husband just turned 37 last week.
How many months have you been TTC? Just coming up on one year. Just finished a bunch of tests on both of us and found out yesterday that husband's sperm analysis showed zero sperm
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? We had been doing pretty much everything, temping & charting, OPKs, even using pre-seed. But now I don't know what to do due to this pretty devastating news.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) We have been married a little over a year, no kids (yet... trying to stay hopeful!). I am a therapist and husband works in corrections. We have a wonderful support network of family and friends but only a couple friends know that we have been TTC. Hoping for answers on here, or anyone that's been through this. I know from googling that it's called azoospermia, if someone could direct me to a thread of others going through this it would be much appreciated!

How many months have you been TTC? 15; I just had a natural miscarriage 2 June but my doctor encouraged us to go ahead and try again so this will be 16, but 1 TTCAL
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? HIO as much as possible and tracking CM. I've done temping before but found it gave me more anxiety. I just went on anxiety meds a few months ago ((lowest dose, safe for pregnancy)) and that's when we got our BFP. So for now, I'm trying to keep it low key.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.)
I am a SAHM to DS who will be 2 in August. We have two Shih Tzus, Truccio ((almost 10)) and Remy ((almost 3)), and a farm cat, Butters ((almost 8)), who roams our current neighborhood courtesy of the doggie door. I was a graphic design major in college but haven't finished my degree and I would like to get into photography. Until then I spend most of my days chasing a mini version of my husband and trying to KonMari my life.
@mdfarmchick Sorry for your loss. What kind of photography are you into?
@LeilaK9288 That is a tough diagnosis - hopefully you're able to get some advice from others in a similar situation.

You could try Skillshare for classes. I've taken a few on watercolor painting, watercolor lettering, and adobe programs that I liked. I think you can get the first month or two free. (Just need to remember to cancel in time.) Shameless referral link: https://skl.sh/2rDqZE9

Best decision of my life was to upgrade to a fixed ((prime)) lens ((basically it means that I move to zoom in or out)) and to adjust the settings myself. Let me know if you ever bite the bullet for a DSLR.
How many months have you been TTC? 2 months now
What are you doing to get knocked up (WAYDTGKU)? Keeping it pretty simple, as my anxiety goes into overdrive if I focus on it too much.
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have two DS, a cat, a dog (adorable border collie). I have a degree in Social Work, and was working in a child care setting as a community support worker. I absolutely loved my job...but we had to move to a different city for my SO job. He is a firefighter in Toronto, and so passionate about what he does! I love to read, and bake in my spare time.
How many months have you been TTC? I guess 2... *TW* we started trying in April and were lucky enough to get pregnant our first try. Unfortunately, we lost our baby girl last week at 11 weeks after an MMC at 10+5 *End TW*
What are you doing to get knocked up? We are benched for a cycle but I plan on temping, opk's, tacking cm, and hoi as much as my DH's schedule allows (he is away for work frequently this summer).
Tell us about yourself! (Kids, pets, job, hobbies, etc.) I have a crazy cat, no kids yet. I am an RN in a Trauma ICU in the D.C. Area. I work FT nights and am starting to be over that. We are actually moving in August for DH's job and am thinking of looking for a job outside of the ICU. I love it, but am thinking it's time to switch it up. I love to run/exercise and craft!
