I realized in the Starbucks drive-through that I forgot my wallet. I was halfway to work. Had to turn around and go home and get it because otherwise I wouldn't be able to eat today. Arrived at work an hour late.
Couldn't get anything for breakfast because I was running so late, so no food + the extra drive time = I'm so nauseous I want to die.
I forgot my water bottle in the car and I can't go get it for another 3 hours. I'm going to have a splitting headache on top of the nausea.
If people comment one more effing time on my food choices, I might snap. We're having a carnival day at school. I got onion rings. I get "yeah, that's good for the baby" while the teacher next to me, with fries and chicken strips got no comment.
THEN I had popcorn. Two co-workers decided to comment on that by telling me not to worry - they'd bring me veggies tomorrow. I literally walked away from them mid-sentence.
It amazes me that people assume that bring pregnant makes everything you do their business. It's a carnival day. I don't see ANYONE having a damned salad.
@shan24 tell me about it. H and I have a Sunday morning tradition of going to Safeway on our way to church and getting a donut and coffee. A couple of weeks ago I made the mistake of waiting to eat my donut until we were on the church campus, and everyone felt the need to comment on it. The comments ranged from whether it was good for the baby to one older gentleman saying, "How are you going to keep your girlish figure by eating donuts?" I almost punched him.
I don't really have a specific bitch, I just feel annoyed. I'm feeling pretty bored and unmotivated at work. The 10-day forecast is pure clouds and rain and nothing above 70. We've got outdoor plans this weekend and it's going to be 55 and raining. Blah.
I just ordered overpriced Sam Edelman sandals and another Wren and Ivory dress to make myself feel better about how sucky this day is. Prob not the healthiest coping mechanism but whatever.

@migdala that's good to know. I'm 5'8" so I have the same concerns. I love that so many of the styles would work with and without a bump. I'm going to order a couple!

@beezeemarie I feel like all sites should include the model stats! My sister is 5'6" and literally everything on the internet seems to fit her. Meanwhile I order stuff and half the time I look like I'm trying to fit into doll clothes. The back seams are always what kill me - before I got pregnant, if I ordered something made for someone 5'6" the back seam would hit too high and then the whole thing would fall weird and I'd look borderline preggo. So now I only shop where I know the models' heights!
@BEEZEEMARIE, @migdala completely feel you on model stats and doll clothes. 5'8 here too. What is meant to be a dress will fit me as a long shirt. Had never heard or wren n ivory before. Love their dresses, gotta see if they ship to canada
@shan24 the doctor I work for is a health nut so she always eats healthy. So during lunch I would bring my food to the break room. I would get a "fast food again?" Or "girl you better watch what you eat". I love her, I really do but shut up. I quit eating in the break room. If I want Arby's I'm going to eat Arby's. I'll get the weight off after the baby, then you can shove salad down my throat
I got a couple things at the store yesterday specifically because I had coupons and they had rebates on Ibotta. Not only did I forget to use my coupons because I was irritated with the cashier, but I forgot to redeem the rebates before they expired this afternoon. I tried this budget-friendly shopping thing. I failed. I give up. Lol.
So I had a first in the morning appt today, 8:45, to start my glucose test. It's now 9:07 and they still haven't called me in. The three hours don't start until they call me in. All they have to do is watch me drink a drink then take my blood, no doctor involved. I'm so frustrated and these bitches next to me are eating tons of food. Going to kill someone....lol

Ugh! I'm sorry that you had to wait. I'd want to throat punch anyone eating in a doctor's waiting room. I mean...who does that? There are all kinds of folks who need to take tests that need to fast.

@ChocolateIsLife No I completely agree.. not for $144. Pea in the Pod stuff is so pricey. Its hard for me to justify buying expensive maternity clothes since i'll only be wearing them for a short amount of time. But I will admit I have definitely splurged on a few items. Do it if you can! I really like Pink Blush they have cute stuff and its a little cheaper.
@ariz17 yeah I think I'm just going to spend that same amount somewhere else. I did buy some shirts, pants and a dress from Old Navy during their Memorial Day sale, and was pleasantly surprised by how well everything fit! It is usually hit or miss with them.

@bluejeanbabi05 I'm worried I will literally throw that drink right back up if I'm made to wait like that, my nausea gets so much worse if I don't eat first thing. I wonder what they do if that happens ... if they keep you waiting much longer I'd say you should try it because serves them right, but then you'd prob have to come back to redo it
@migdala and everyone that hasn't done this before, I promise you that the one hour is not bad AT ALL. Sorry I've been so woe is me, lol. The one hour you don't even have to drink the whole drink, just a tiny little cup of it. And it didn't taste bad at all (fruit punch one.) Plus I had a routine appt in the hour I was waiting, so it went by fast (highly recommend scheduling like that!)
The three hour you do have to drink the whole thing, and I did feel a little nauseous halfway through, but the nurse just told me to slow down and I was able to keep it down. I have one hour left! Almost there, lol. I felt a little dizzy the first hour but I feel much better now, just tired. I'm going to treat myself to some yummy food for lunch.
@bluejeanbabi05 you are lucky! I've always had to drink the whole drink! And youre right, the fruit punch one is probably the best tasting out of all of them. Stay far far away from the lemon lime!
@brambles1 typically with no cause for concern you can still eat before the test. I got my instructions today and the only things I can't have are sugary cereals, pastries, fruit, fruit juice, sugared breads like bagels or raisin bread etc. but I can eat toast eggs cheese and veggies. I'm actually required to eat something. But nothing at all after I drink the drink. Until my 1 hour is done.
I'm jealous of all you ladies who get to do a 1-hour glucose test! The office I go to only does the 3-hour test. I guess it helps not having to do it twice if the first one fails, but still. Hanging out at a medical center for basically 4 hours, along with being poked about as many times, is not my idea of fun.
I hate all these damn midges we have by our house. They are so gross and serve no purpose. A swarm literally greets me at my front door when I leave or enter my house. I just saw on the local news that swarms of midges showed up on the weather radar! Go away bugs!
@ariz17 that must be what we have too! They are so disgusting. I can't leave the house without getting attacked. But they are only supposed to stick around for 10ish days. But I heard the mayflies are coming next
@ariz17 are those the tiny little flies that swarm together? We were playing golf the other day and there were tons of them. It grossed me out to be in the golf cart thinking of how many must be flying into our mouths

@OliveOyl2014 I swear last time everyone said to go for the lemon lime. I don't remember honestly and they probably all taste gross! My office sends me home with the drink at my previous appt and then I just drink it an hour before I'm supposed to be there, so no waiting.
Lemon lime was the worst, followed by orange. Fruit punch was the best. I asked about taking the drink home and they won't allow it because people don't drink the whole thing.
@OliveOyl2014 It's so strange how different offices operate so differently. Mine will give me my drink at my next appointment and then the one after is when I do my test.
