May FET

Re: May FET

  • I am having my second FET on Wednesday. My first FET ended in a chemical pregnancy.  This time I am having two embryos put in; have any of you ladies had success with your second FET, with the same batch of embryos?  Also I have PCOS and I have been TTC for 8 years.

  • Hello everyone. I'm new here and excited to join. I had my first fet on the 23rd. We transferred 3 5 day blastocyst graded 5AA, 3AB, and 3CC. Of course I've started testing because I can't help myself. My first beta is June 1.
  • I was just catching up on this busy board!! Congrats to everyone with BFP!!

I started PIO last night, along with medrol and azithromycin (instant nausea- luckily it's just one dose). I'm feeling excited and hopeful for transfer Wednesday, especially after all these BFP on this board!

    Enjoy the weekend everyone :)

  • @kmoore6886 I have a similar story.  **TW And I have a BFP from our second embryo transfer.  First was a little longer than 5w and never formed a yolk sac. ***

I transferred a 5AA again from same batch on May 8 and I'm 5w3d. But don't have us til June 5. So I'll let you know if success after that. Your question might really be better on a board of moms after IVF.  Since we are all only a few weeks ahead on this journey.  I hope there are great successes out there. Good luck!!!

Hi everybody! Just joining the thread... Had FET #3 on Wednesday 5/24, so I'm 3dp5dt today and feeling like a crazy woman already. It's going to be a long wait till beta! Looking forward to waiting it out with all of you and rooting for lots of BFP's to go around the group! Congrats to those who've gotten theirs this month :)
  • @momurph best of luck to you! How many embryos did you transfer?
  • momurph lynn2003 sending u both super sticky vibes congrats on being PUPO!!!

@kmoore6886  there were a couple of posts where ppl thought they had bad batches of embryos as they had quite a few failed fets so on the last batch one transfer all 3 and another 2, both ended up with triplets...one just delivered nd the other is approaching her second trimester.  Unfortunately it doesn't always work the first, second or third time for some BUT keep the faith and hopefully the second time will work for u.  @JESSABER0414 is correct probably asking this question on the other board will probably get you more answers.  I'm still waiting to get to an FET - good luck!!

  • @Hopeful_mom thank you for your post, I love hearing success stories because it gives me hope! I have been trying to get pregnant for 8 years and sometimes I feel like it is never going to happen. Best of luck to you!
  • @momurph welcome!! I am tracking right behind you at 2dp5dt and every cramp I feel must be implantation, right?! Insanity!
  • @lynn2003 you transfered 3? What made you come to that decision? Just wondering as im thinking of doing the same #..what did your RE recommend? So since you have started testing already have you gotten a BFP?
  • @kmoore6886 @momurph @lynn2003 congrats ladies! Welcome to the board! There have been so many BFP's, I hope we are all following suit! I too am 3dp5dt w/ 2 embryos! We will have to get you ladies added to the spreadsheet! Except idk how to repost it

    Thanks for the welcome ladies!

@kmoore6886: I transferred 2 this time. I did 1 each in FETs #1 & #2, so we wanted to do something different this round and the Dr was ok with it given our history.

@lynn2003: Ooooo testing! Did you have a trigger to test out or not?

@hopefulmom: Success stories like that are what keep me going these days :)

@angelaag: Yes, total insanity! I'm super emotional today. I almost lost it at lunch when I spilled my chicken salad on the restaurant floor. Not tear worthy, but today I was totally there!
  • These were donor embryos and the clinic we used has a policy that no matter the grade, the embryo is not discarded, it is transferrd. So the 3CC was either the first or second embryo thawed. Since it was such a low quality, they figure it won't do anything. Hence the two other additional thaws. We always wanted to transfer two.
  • No trigger as these were donated embryos for the fet

  • I posted on the TWW board too.. sorry for those of you on both. Yesterday, 4dp5dt was negative. Didn't feel like testing today - trying to stay strong bc I know how I feel when no line shows up. But this afternoon had light pink d/c and it's continued - semi red/brown .. its color is always lighter because of my progesterone... this happened last cycle but on day 9 which resulted if BFN. Anyone had spotting Day 5?

@caseyw8784 looking forward to ur update!!  I'm glad you have ppl keeping your "secret" hopefully everyone will be able to let the cat out of the bag!!  how have you been feeling?

AFM: heres my lil update...This am I was about ready to puke!!  After 6 tries and 3 different nurses my body still didn't want to give any blood this morning, did you ever.  They felt terrible but my body just wasn't having it.  I did give bw friday so they went off of that and my US to make sure i could start stemming today.  I was nervous i would have a cyst or something growing as i felt i was getting some strange zings through the week BUT the tech said that things look really good.  So looking to do hopefully my last cycle of ivf, lucky #7 right   Assuming my PGS results will becoming in the next few days...could've been today if not for the holiday but we know how that goes.  Can't believe how much worse I feel with them getting no blood as opposed to when they get blood.  After mt MC they took 30 vials of blood and I felt better that day then I did today....go figure.

@caseyw8784- how fun to be able to share the happy news! Sending you lots of good vibes for tomorrow's beta. You've got this!

@krenee124- sorry for the negative test, but it is really early and could certainly turn into something in the next few days. That sinking feeling of one line is just the absolute worst. (HUGS)
Re: the spotting... I haven't experienced it myself, but I know that some spotting/bleeding isn't uncommon in the FET TWW, whether it's IB bleeding or something else. Try to kick your feet up and rest a little extra. FX for you.
  • @Hopeful_mom you have no idea how much I'm hoping that. I guess I thought that would happen sooner atleast with the one embryo that was basically hatched. This is all a mind game
  • krenee124 its never fun and you are testing super early so try to not get to down on yourself.  implantation has a window and its different for all, hang in there and lets hope ur on the latter side!

  • @momurph thank you  I need to relax but I needed advice. I was "hopeful thinking" that implantation was going to happen sooner than now. I know it's SO early! I need to relax or go to bed for the night
  • @Hopeful_mom I'm sorry about the bw disaster- I've had some issues with needles and bw and it's been traumatic (for me at least!)

@krenee124 it's all such a mind game!! Last transfer I had some spotting (I forget which day) but I know progesterone can cause it too. Hang in there! Side note- I've NEVER had spotting before my periods until we started trying to have a baby...sigh

  • Ok ladies I need reassurance....Im not due to go to the doc again until June 5, which would be first US. Today, I'm 5w6d and have noticed my first ever pink tinged spotting. I'm on Endometrin inserts 3 times a day and PIO.
I wouldn't think anything of it, but this am I had sharp pains in my right side vey low, almost exactly where my tube would be.
It only lasted 15 mins and very intermittent,  but sharp enough to stop what I was doing and pit my hand there. I'm very nauseous today and not constipated, cuz I know you were wondering.
Sigh, I just want a hug and to sleep until next Monday.  Since my betas were so high and I had no pains or bleeding early, my RE originally said not likely ectopic.  I'm I being paranoid?

@JESSABER0414- I actually just called my nurse b/c I had pink discharge on my Endometrin applicator this morning (6dp5dt). I'm on the inserts 2x/day and on PIO eod.  She said that colored discharge or pink/brown spotting is very normal while on Endometrin. She said the cervix is so sensitive that you could even equate barely touching it with a Q-tip to cause irritation and/or bleeding. She also said it's really easy for the applicator to cause nicks on the way in or out, or by being pushed up too far. She suggested that I can switch to inserting with a finger instead of the plastic applicator.
It's impossible not to worry, but I hope this might help a little!
  • Had beta #3 this morning and just heard from my nurse. HCG is 15,788! They told me to decrease the estrace from 2x/day to 1x/day and continue with the same dose of PIO. Ultrasound is scheduled for next Friday 6/9, since DH and I will be in California (YAY disneyland!) from 6/1-6/7...

Hi everyone - congrats to all those who are PUPO! I also had some mild pink spotting from the Endometrin applicator, only once or twice. Oddly, that never bothered me. Try to remain calm (impossible, I know!) but I really think spotting with those is normal.

I just wanted to provide a quick update since I went dark on Thursday. The oddest thing happened. I randomly POAS on Sunday, actually hoping the line would be gone and it was a blazing positive. This morning too (bottom test) so naturally I became terrified of an ectopic. We had our followup with the RE today, already scheduled luckily, and I explained what was going on. So, we started with the ultrasound and he saw what he thought was a tiny sac (I saw it too and was like
  • [not sure why that cut off]

  • Ahhh I'll try posting again later not sure what's going on!
