I stole this from December. (Who stole it from November, thanks guys!)
This thread is for pictures from our ultrasounds throughout the next nine months!!!
**If you have an upcoming u/s appointment, please don't tell us here. You can share that in the weekly appointment thread and/or your ticker change thread to help us keep this one relatively clean. **
Please check your picture before sharing to make sure that any personal information you don't want to share with everyone is covered up.
Some love to start their own threads to AW happy moments. That is fine too! Also please share the picture in here if you feel so inclined. There are never too many places to celebrate these little ones and their mamas.
I posted this in the weekly appointment thread, but I'll put it here too! Look at that little sea horse! Was thrilled! Measured 6 weeks 6 days (to the DAY of ovulation!) and had a HR of 128. DDs was higher when I had my first with her (she was also two days older), so I wonder if that means anything. Doctor said the heart rate was good though, so it must not be too low
Two yolk sacs, one gestational sac! Fingers crossed that there's a membrane between them that we just don't see yet, because this could indicate mo/mo twins (very high risk, since they can get tangled up together).
Heartbeats for Twin A and Twin B!
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science
7 IUIs, 7 BFNs. 2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs. Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire. Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus! fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP! Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)
Our tiny one! 7 weeks 5 days. Measuring right on track with a HB of 163. LO was moving around a ton, which seemed to surprise the tech. But DD was exactly the same, so I'm not surprised at all. My official due date is now 12/31, but I hope you ladies don't mind if I stay here in January with you!
The doctor didn't do a very good job capturing my bean this time around, but luckily I'm getting another ultrasound at 8 weeks. This one is exactly 6 weeks, and we could see the heart flickering. ❤️
@cyanope Nope, if you get to have the tax write off and not reset your deductible you have to go to the December board with the rest of the lucky ones >:(
Had my 3rd U/S this morning. Once was a little over a wk ago to confirm pregnancy, Friday I had one due to bleeding and cramping and one today listen to the heart beat and seeing it again
Blurry as heck from being zoomed in, but here's the image I got this morning. The tech said it's measuring 6w2d, or about a week behind LMP dating, but a good HB.
Nope. I'm staying put, @miranda21037! You guys are stuck with me! If it makes you feel any better, I don't have a deductible. I pay $30 to have a baby. That's it. One of the glories of being a teacher: having AMAZING insurance! But, the tax write off will be nice! Let's hope this baby comes on time! Ps...this post has a LOT of exclamation points...!
I'm so emotional ladies. I thought I was 7w1d and went in for my first ultrasound and he said I must be like 6 weeks according to the yolk sac measurments but there is no heartbeat to be seen yet. He said I'm still early and this looks healthy and doesn't look like a miscarriage to him but I have another ultrasound in a week and a half to check growth. I'm worried sick.
@akingmomma sending prayers and love your way. Second ultrasound today. Sweet little peanut is doing good. Heart beat strong at 150 bpm.

@akingmomma - FX for you! We're in the same boat. My RE thought I would be further long due to date of LMP but I'm a late ovulator. I go in on Thursday for a follow-up and we'll hopefully find the HB then. Just remember: right now, you're pregnant. Enjoy it.
@laurent90 I just had my first ultrasound last week at 7 weeks and was shocked when the tech said "let's try an abdominal one." With DD, they did a transvaginal one at 7.5 weeks. However, this tech was awesome. She said since I was thin (lol, not sure what she was seeing) she thought it was worth trying; however, often the position of the placenta and/or uterus (tilted or not) can make it hard to see anything with an abdominal one so early, so I think many techs default and just do a transvaginal. And FYI, the transvaginal is awesome because you get such a clear picture! Also you are so consumed with the screen etc. that you don't feel it (or I didn't).
Yay!! We just got back from our first appointment, and there is definitely ONE Little Bit in there. He or she measures in at 5w 6d. That's only one day behind the dating estimate based on LMP, and I ovulated on the 17th day of my cycle, so no worries there. We saw a flickering little heart going 99 beats/minute. It was surreal. I'm so excited!
Little baby love! Measuring a few days bigger, but they won't change my due date (which I prefer, buys you a little time). And a nice strong heartbeat!

@akingmomma, Im a late ovulator. Ive always been 10 days "behind" what lmp says. Going by lmp assumes you have a 28 day cycle and ovulate on day 14, which less than half the population has both of those true. That ultrasound looks great.
We just had our first ultrasound at 7d5w. Everything is looking good. There were two sacs though...one was empty. They are not sure if there maybe was a failed twin or something else. The heartbeat was nice and strong! Can't tell its a baby right now but the head is on the left (black space is part of the brain. Yolk sac is the oval on the right.
Great looking U/S ladies. Look at all those cute little jelly beans!

@laurent90 Usually for abdominal ultrasound they ask you to drink a certain amount of water couple hours prior to the ultrasound... Having a full bladder helps them see baby better. If there are no instructions like that, then they will probably do a vaginal ultrasound.
they said the head is on the bottom left, I'll just have to take his word for it. Calculated at 8x2, but measuring in on the small side but he won't change the due date until they can get a better look in 3 weeks. So excited to finally get to hear and see this little bundle of ours!!!
@hwoodmama that's what I'm thinking. I actually ended up checking my period tracker app and me and hubs DTD on the EXACT day that would measure up with the ultrasound. It's a week later than the generic timing that the app had for me ovulation. So I think I ovulated a week later. I am staying hopeful everything is fine! ❤️
First ultrasound today! Yolk sac on the left. Heartbeat was strong at 155 bpm. I totally cried when I heard it-surprised myself. Also I miscalculated my due date so I'll be joining the ladies on tomorrow's ticker change!
Enjoying seeing everyone's pictures. Thanks for sharing!
@laurent90 I agree with what @EmilyLove25 said. During my us yesterday, they tried abdominal first since I was over 7 weeks. However, they had to do the transvaginal because I have a retroverted (tilted) uterus. I'm a STM and had no clue until now!
