Aww, thank you everyone! It's not quite done - my sister is an artist and is doing a couple custom watercolor pieces for the walls and I need to have my husband finish changing the light switches and plugs/plates (they were tan, I want white) and to put up a couple wall mounted shelves. But it's really starting to come together! And I've had so much fun making custom pieces for it. Things like sewing their baby blankets and making pillows for the rocker make me feel connected to the babies, and it's such a nice feeling, to have that "I'm a mom" feeling wash over you.
@Poppyseed72017, it's actually a combo! I like the Behr Marquee paint because it gives an even one-coat finish, but I couldn't find a color I liked at Home Depot, so I went to Lowe's, which sells Sherwin Williams paints and found one called "Agreeable Gray" that I picked up a chip of and had Home Depot match in the Behr Marquee in eggshell finish. I needed something light enough that the one window room wouldn't make too dark, but that also felt warm. This chip actually almost looked brown until it went on the walls, but I adore how it looks
@caribbeanmama-2, I know, it's still hitting me as well! I had fun making two baby blankets for them. I'm still feeling a smidge overwhelmed by it all!

Finally made some progress in the nursery. We finished painting, got the curtains hung up and I made a couple of her wall decorations. Hopefully this week we can get the stuff hung on the walls and furniture moved in!
@caribbeanmama-2, yes! I'm actually pretty crafty and considered making them myself, but since the rest of the nursery was done on a budget ($200 rug, $100 cribs, $275 glider/ottoman, curtains and rod that I already had, a gallon of paint), my husband told me to splurge on the mobiles I fell in love with. I've found that the best inspiration for mobiles comes from Pinterest. I found the elephant ones there and completely fell in love - Pinterest redirected me to Restoration Hardware to actually buy them. They cost a little more than I wanted to spend, but my son LOVES his boat mobile, even now, so I feel like the twins will love having something to look at as well. It was worth it for us and I feel like it totally makes the nursery!

Im jealous of everyone's nursery. We live in a 1 bedroom 900sq ft shotgun home so baby will be in our room until we move next October Since we rent, we cant paint the walls so we got as much as we could that matched. We decided to do red and grey as our theme. Our changing table and crib are dark cherry red. the changing pad cover and crib sheet are red and then I have grey organization cubes and grey blankets. Our car seat and stroller are also grey and red. If I could do a theme, this is what I would love...

I can finally see the pics on here!! Idk why but for a while I was just seeing ? Marks. Anyway the photos of nurseries so far are so nice! @KissMeImScottish I'll be curious to know how you like the double glider! We didn't even get a single glider bc I just can't see myself using one but I keep hearing it's a worthy investment. Especially the double one in twin circles. Sadly I don't think we have space for it though unless we get rid of something in another room.
I don't have a technical nursery (baby is sleeping in our room for awhile anyways, and we aren't even getting a crib because chances are that we are moving sometime within his first year, so what was the point of buying a crib and painting and everything else??) but I do have "baby spots" set up all over my house, and I am almost done with them! Tomorrow, IF the rain holds off long enough, we are moving the two dressers over here from MIL, which is the last furniture I need. Once everything is all set up I'll post photos of all my baby spots. I'm so excited to finally be getting it done!

It's a work in progress but at least there is a crib and dresser/changing pad. I'm not much for themes so I tried to stick with a color scheme and I'm pretty happy with it so far! Looking forward to getting some prints up on the wall and finishing off the other half but it will do for now!
@irishrose54, I had a glider with my son that I still use every day, even as he approaches 20 months. Because of what my husband does, his schedule is wonky, and I'm the world's lightest sleeper. If I wake up, I'll be up for the next couple hours. So, for our particular situation, we both made an effort to nurse/bottle feed him in his nursery, even when he was sleeping in our room initially (room was just down the hall), just to try and disturb each other as little as possible. The glider was invaluable for that, and I still rock him for a couple minutes before laying him down for his nap. He also likes to sit on my lap in to read books and will climb up and rock himself and look at picture books, so it was a seriously important piece of our nursery.
With the twins, I don't anticipate needing it any less, just needing a wider one, hence the double rocker. My son already is a fan (he helped me put it together, haha). My biggest advice if you do get one is to make sure the seat is deep enough to accommodate you having something behind your back (nursing pillow or just a back support) without feeling like you're falling off. I definitely think the investment is a lifestyle choice - we rely heavily on the nursery in all respects, and with a two story house where the upstairs is all bedrooms and two bathrooms, having those dedicated spaces makes ALL the difference for us.
@MamaRN13, I LOVE the color scheme. That's usually how I end up decorating as well. That, or I find an image that I love and pull colors and fabrics and textures from thay inspiration. The framed strip of color really makes your nursery!

I decorate the same way! Colors, textures, and lighting. Everyone thought I was nuts because my wedding didn't have a theme, and my sons nursery didn't either. It's how I roll. Nice to see I'm not alone! Haha! PS, looks amazing! Good job!
@LuLiLaEv I'm doing some seriously dirty lurking since I pretty much dropped off the face of the (July board) earth, but have you posted your bedding? Your style is pretty much in line with mine so I'm curious of your other details!
Someone did not care for me moving things around in the nursery. I feel like the damn room gets cleaner then messier without anything actually getting put away.
I need to work on the Mirror of Erised some more tonight (in prog pic below... doing the sloppy work now and then I'll have to pay attention to details.. damnit.) and put up some of the wall decor (i.e. Slytherin and Gryffindor banners)
I don't have one room set up, partly because baby will be in our room for so long, and partly because we're probably moving in the first year. BUT I have all my "baby spaces" finally set up around the house, and since it's the closest I'll have to a nursery I'm counting it.
This is our bedroom, with the bassinet and the dresser with a changing place on top. And my cat has decided it's her new favorite place lol.
This is the changing station in our upstairs bathroom
This is our living room, with the pack and play for daytime naps and the basket of toys
And finally our downstairs changing station in the kitchen, with the rocker so I have somewhere to put baby when I'm cooking.

@chiquita928 I still lurk like a crazy person. I just got so far behind that by the time I could comment the conversations had moved on and anything I had to say was no longer relevant! Now I feel weird jumping back in randomly since everyone has gotten to know each other so well!
Hi! @GeorgiaWife6912 I haven't bought it yet but I plan on getting Little Unicorn Watercolor Rose for the bedding. It's not a "set" but I really only need sheets anyway until she's bigger and the blanket(s) will be for decoration and nursing etc
and I agree with @chiquita928 jump back in any time!
@chiquita928@LuLiLaEv thank you for your sweet words! I was pretty sure at this point no one remembered me haha!
@LuLiLaEv I love it! I looked all over for something like that! I settled on this bedding (the colors from the swatches that came aren't nearly as bright as it looks in the picture):
The walls are this color:
I bought this for over her bed (an A though):
I made this exact bow holder, just a little bigger (with her name obviously):
and have these for the walls except for the "like mother like daughter" one:
I ordered this blanket off etsy, and plan to just do a few sheets in coordinating colors (blush & mint).
I am also making a floral letter like the one you posted. I bought all the florals a while ago, but we just decided on a name last week so now I can finally start making it!
@rae1-3 oh i LOVE that blanket!! Apparently I need to become a better etsy searcher (although that is where I found her bedding). I have done a ton of crafts for her room, but I'm so type A, that I would NEVER get the flowers on the letter arranged how I liked them, so it's better to just let someone else do that for me haha. The signs are from Hobby Lobby, but I bought them a couple months ago so I'm not sure if they are still there.
I ended up up making my own for a flower letter a couple weeks ago. Cardboard letter and a bunch of fake flowers from the craft store + a hot glue gun. Definitely way too much angst over the arrangement of the flowers, but it was a lot of fun to make.
The bow holder I actually remade myself a little bit bigger but the original listing is here. She also has other colors, etc. to choose from.
The floral letter is from here. She also has a ton of other colors and sizes in her shop. I splurged on this one and paid a whole lot more than I should have. I know I am capable of making one on my own, but I am SO type A with my own crafting I knew I would never be happy with it. She has been amazing to work with and wants to make sure you are happy with every single flower.
@carol113 that looks amazing! You did such a good job! I know I should have attempted to make my own but I was just afraid I would nitpick it to death and never be happy.
@rae1-3@LuLiLaEv@GeorgiaWife6912 We all have the same taste in florals!! Since we are team green I have a Pinterest board that holds my ideas for LO room. Secretly hoping for a girl so I can do all the cutsie things in the bedroom. But I would be content either way. You girls make me wish I knew what I was having now!! 7 more weeks!!
@caribbeanmama-2 Here is the one I recreated. It was super easy (but I have to add that I do vinyl so I had a an easy way to add her name). I made it about 6" bigger so I could add more hooks as well.
Been having contractions like crazy, so it kicked my butt into gear and finally finish our team green nursery. Will add navy blue or pink accents once baby is here.
