@oheliza44 not team green but I am going for a semi neutral nursery. We were torn between SW agreeable gray and repose gray, after browsing through Pinterest decided to go for repose gray, husband is painting this weekend I'll gladly post a pic.

Irrationally annoyed because the crib that I wanted is no longer available! DD has the DaVinci Jenny Lind crib in fog grey and I was hoping to get a second one for this gal since they will be eventually sharing a room after the first few months.
It looks like a website called One Way Furniture has that color on back order but it looks sketchy to me... has anyone purchased anything from them before? Amazon, BRU, etc. are all out of grey with no looks of restocking soon.
I'm being a brat because I could just get the Jenny Lind crib in another color. I just wanted them to be matchy matchy but it looks like I need to get over it.
That said, I would also be researching a back-up plan (different crib, same crib in different color), because I've seen brands like this change their dates...
I finally finished painting the damn crib this weekend! Ugh. What a project that was. So here it is... I still need a crib sheet and obviously the pillow isn't for the crib but I put it in there for staging purposes haha! The other 3 walls in the room are grey. I'm so in love!
Edit: The last pic was huge so I cropped and reloaded. Still big. Haha!
@stokesm21 I'm usually not one for bold colors but that accent wall looks beautiful! I love the white crib against it.
Thank you! I said to my husband too, "Look how the crib pops!" Haha! I'm the opposite. I hated the idea of a soft pink, I'm definitely a bold colour kind of girl. I found that pillow and then stupidly went around to 5 different paint stores trying to find a match. Sherwin Williams was able to scan the pillow and mix up a colour. I think they got pretty darn close!
So, I want to do a light gray and a floral accent wall paper that is light/white background and soft. The crib we are being gifted is dark, so I want a bright room with soft colors.
I'm doing an Owl theme... Keeping it simple tho... Got a few more decals to put up, then it'll be done!!! On to putting swing, bouncer, car seat/stroller together...
@BusyZee accidentally pushed the reply button too quickly!
Ive used it with both real wood and fake "laminate" wood and it's come out great! I use a sponge brush and do about 3 coats and then put a clear top coat over.

That's the same look I'm going for, got this wallpaper on amazon, it's so beautiful in person, lighter than the picture. I'm also doing small touches of mint, lavender and soft pink. So far all we have gotten is a chandelier installed.
@cait32 LOL they definitely do! I wasn't planning on ordering a set this time around, but ordering the pieces I wanted individually was going to cost me more. So I ordered the set. I used my daughter's set until we converted her bed to a double, so we did get 3 years of use out of it.

i just got an antique florentine jewelry box from Etsy to put baby bum ointments and such into it and also an antique tray to put the baby wipes and massage oil etc. was it necessary ? No. Lol
Edit to add: well the tray was broken unfortunately, spoke to soon I guess?
I ordered a white crib, and plan on getting a white dresser/changing table. I had talked this over with DH many times and we agreed on the white furniture to match the Totoro wall decals we plan on getting.
Now that the carpet and paint are done, DH decided to move in a caramel-colored koa bench and two black bookcases that we had in the house into the nursery. So now nothing matches.

I give up.
Can you color match the crib at a paint store and then paint the bench/bookcases to match?
I'm not getting a nursery. We're moving 6 months after baby is born, and he'll be in our room that whole time anyways, so I just can't justify spending the time/money to make the nursery up. Which makes me sad, cause I feel like I'm missing out. I will be living vicariously through all of you! That said, I would have done a space theme if we were doing it, and I think I might still make the quilt. And maybe I'll get to do something fun after we move
Don't feel bad, the baby will be in my room with me, too, for the first few months. I can't spend money on a nursery just yet, so I'm just getting the basics like his swing/bouncer and a pack-n-play or a bassinet. It was almost a year before my middle child moved into her bedroom. So I'll be building the nursery in my head, lol.
Can anyone suggest a good application to change photos into vintage format, or antique looking? Also a good printing paper to print pictures from my computer.
@Twinkiedoll haha good luck with that! Is there any way you can convince him to take some of the things out? Also, maybe when it's all together it won't look so bad?
@BusyZee You could try Gimp. It's free editing software you can download. There are lots of tutorials if you google gimp vintage look and there are also some plugins you can find. Another option would be to save it to your phone from an email and use an app. I really like Pic-tap-go.
