RE: coffee/caffeine. I drink as much coffee and soda as I want, and don't even think about it. The amount of caffeine you'd have to consume to actually be damaging is way more than an average person would drink in a day. And keep in mind that America is way super strict on a lot of things that other first world countries aren't. One of which is caffeine. There's also not much consensus between doctors. Some say no coffee, some say one cup a day, some say 300 mg, some say 200mg. But really... if you look at the actual studies, the amount that would be negative is basically astronomical. So I mean... I wouldn't recommend three espressos, four Mountain Dews, a Red Bull, and a Five Hour Energy in a day. But if I want a coffee in the morning, and a Coke at dinner, I literally give it no thought.
Since about the 3rd week, I haven't been able to stand even the smell of coffee. I am exhausted and could use some, happy that I can tolerate black tea or iced tea for my 1-2 cups.
I only want really bland foods, nothing spicy. I usually love Thai food, we ordered it last weekend, and I could only eat a few bites. Oh, and on a trip in the Eastern shore of Maryland, I was so psyched to go out for crabcakes, but picked up the sandwich and couldn't bear the smell. I am just not going to eat out for a while, what a waste of $$, and the server was looking at me like I was nuts!
My lovely wife made me meat and cheese lasagna for dinner last night, without many spices, and it was perfect.
I've been pretty nauseous on and off for the past few weeks, and it always seems to be changing what hurts or what helps.
Thrilled to have this "problem" to deal with.
___ Due date 12/9 I can't figure out the pregnancy countdown tickers, but I do know how to make a signature! #40andpregnant
