@ArtificialRed absolutely!! Especially if you went up and down at least most of the aisles! Plus, that whole walk from the car thing?? Yup!! Two walks, way to go!!
Side note: the hannaford near me has hannaford to go now...so I no longer even walk the grocery store!
Most of my exercise is walking to and from work. Yesterday we went to the arboretum and walked around for a few hours. There was a slight incline to the top that we went up and I huffed and puffed my way there. So embarrassing. Anyway, my point is, I'm bad at exercising, good job to all you ladies who do it multiple times a week!
I usually exercise at Stroller Strides three times a week but i have been on vacation and missed it, and now I've been feeling sick when I don't eat and sometimes making bad choices... pizza rolls for a snack tonight. Oops.
I'm at my desk right now staring at my computer with half closed sleepy turtle eyes. And it's raining here which makes me extra sleepy. If there was nothing (like a job, responsibility et.) stopping me I'd go home and nap all afternoon!!! I was going to go to the mall at lunch (it's a 5 minute walk from work) but...it's raining!
All I want to do is go bed before 6 pm and drink pickle juice. What is wrong with me?!
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
I went from having massive constipation earlier this week to now having the um... opposite problem. I went to the bathroom before running errands this morning but while walking through Target my tummy got all gurgly and I definitely did some crop dusting in the thankfully vacant aisles. I'm sure they smelled rank haha
Legitimately me last weekend also at Target, glad I am not the only one!
So.....I have my first stretch marks already. I'm a bigger gal, but I have LOST weight during the first tri. I can barely eat! The past week or so, I've really noticed things shifting around and expanding, though, so I guess we're making room already....smh. I guess I'm not genetically gifted.
@cmessamore don't worry I feel it too! I totally wanna be that super healthy rocks the pregnancy mom, buuut it ends up being me sitting on my rump watching TV eating ice cream when my "go to the gym" reminder pops up on my phone
Just watched all the episodes of Friends where Rachel has a baby shower, is very pregnant, and has the baby. Also saw a commercial for insurance that was very moving. I cried at both. The baby made me do it.
DH ordered stirfry & rice delivery, but it arrived when he was out. I was hungry! So I ate it all but picked out the pineapple (ew I hate pineapple) and put it back in the fridge. DH opens his dinner to find a box of pineapple. Baby made me do it!
@DuchessOfCambridge I'm watching Friends too--the part where Phoebe is pregnant! When I'm pregnant I always get obsessed with pregnancy storylines in TV and movies.

I literally resent Serena Williams so much. I feel like she created these unrealistic expectations for what we should be able do when pregnant. I know there are all kinds of women who maintain great levels of physical fitness during their first tris, and I resent them too. I am still so gd tired. Omg.
Eta I also get winded with little effort and feel lightheaded really easily when it's barely hot. Literally, HOW did she even manage it??
@ArtificialRed I was just talking to DH about this--I am a runner and always assumed I would be the pregnant lady who worked out the whole time. I'm not working out right now for a few different reasons, and I'm actually really disappointed that I can't be that super active pregnant lady. Exercise keeps me sane and I don't feel myself without it--hopefully I can get back into it second tri.
@liz4382 It's crazy how different every pregnancy is. With my first I ran, hiked, and kayaked the whole time. This time I can't even bring myself to do morning yoga. Hoping to turn it around second tri!
@liz4382 I've only been able to walk so far this pregnancy. With my first pregnancy, I was an avid exerciser before I got pregnant but did not work out almost at all in first tri (maybe 4 times). But in second tri I was able to get back to working out and did body pump and spin up to like 5 days before I went into labor....so there is still hope for all of us
@DuchessOfCambridge I'm currently binging Friends (again) too and I'm on the episodes where Phoebe is pregnant with the triplets. Also, yesterday I watched Father of the Bride II. And I cried and cried! Gotta love pregnancy hormones ❤️
ETA @emucoleman I didn't see your post. Looks like we are at the same point! Love it!
@MissMonroe11 I started doing Body Pump a few months ago and am really hoping to keep it going throughout this pregnancy. Seems like there are just a few modifications you have to make?
I'm only wearing my most form fitting clothes rn because this blump won't go away and I've decided to pretend it's a bump. I've only gained 2lbs but I have a big round belly and anything other than skin-tight shirts just makes me look flabby.

@tourmalily good for you! It is still because of baby so I think that's valid. My blump is too big for my pants but too small to look like anything except a food baby.
I had to stop at the grocery store after picking DD up from preschool. We passed a bin of limes, so I showed her one and told her this is how big her baby is now. She got all excited, asked for a bag and told me she was bringing it home to show her daddy. She left it on the kitchen counter and keeps going over to stare at it it's the sweetest thing!
@lck101 The only modifications I made were to incline the bench in second tri (they say not to lay flat after 1st tri b/c you can reduce blood flow to uterus) and didn't go super heavy on my weights. And I modified the abs track when my bump started getting big (no regular sit ups). It's such a great workout.
@liz4382 It really wasn't hard at all. 2nd tri for me was bliss - energy was back and bad symptoms gone. I totally feel out of shape right now too so looking forward to getting back in the gym.
I've been asking SO to carry the wet laundry to the dryer because it's heavy and I'm worried about hurting myself. I'm still lifting plenty of heavy crap at work.. I'm just exhausted and too lazy to do it at home. It's baby's fault!
@DuchessOfCambridge I lol'd too! That's a crisis my pregnant brain would totally have!
