I thought we had one of these going but I looked through everything and didn't see a food thread. So I thought this would be a nice weekly thing to do. Tell us what your eating and drinking. Please link your recipes if you would like to share that with the group. We could have a theme for each week like dinner ideas or more specific chicken ideas and so on.
This past week I have been trying to find healthy drink options other than water. I am slowly trying out seltzer water brands. I hated seltzer water up until the other day.... well I hoping if I just keep drinking it I'll acquire a taste for it ( kind of like beer
Re: Everything food and drink 4/15
Im eating dried fruit (mangos), olives, and ramen noodles. Those are the only things that appeal to me right now. I imagine I won't be cooking much for the next month or two:(
I'm obsessed with sparkling waters (brands like klarbrunn and la Croix). Instead of adding juice, you could try San Pellegrino (blood orange is to die for!).
Typically I don't get bored of food very much and so I usually eat the same thing every day for lunch while I'm at work. For the past few years this has looked like a "smart ones" microwaveable meal. I really want to get into a habit of something a bit healthier, but still fairly simple. I've heard that baked beans are really good during pregnancy so I was thinking of getting some of those bags of frozen bean and cheese burritos and bringing in a couple to work each day. If anyone has thoughts or other suggestions on simple meals I can bring to work and microwave/eat in 15 mins that would be appreciated. I admire all the people out there who can do lots of meal prep ahead of time but if I'm being honest, I'm not there yet...
I'm also very interested in seeing what cravings I'm going to get!

If someone could just tell me what to eat for every meal, that would be great, because deciding what to eat and preparing it is the hardest part.
Since I only found out a week ago that I'm pregnant, I have been craving my summer beers (Pacifico, corona, Ballast Point California Kolsche as it's a local brewery), and all the tacos. Living in San Diego, you don't get more authentic Mexican food unless you're actually IN Mexico.
Last pregnancy, I *flame suit on* indulged in a mini mimosa once or twice a month, along with a sip or two a week of my DH beer. This time, I'm not craving any of that besides those three I mentioned above.
@jlemons-2 I've never used ginger syrup before but I am going to HAVE to try it now!!
I usually love sweets, sour candy, all the treats but lately I want so much savory- giant sandwiches, spaghetti, lasagna, chili, stir fry... wowza. We recently tried the Thai Basil sauce from Kroger on some sauteed veggies, rice noodles and chicken and it was really good and pretty simple cooking.
