@buttercream_frosting I just started 13 Reason Why yesterday too! I only got through the first episode though, so it will take me a while to finish.
@bluejeanbabi05 I had an unmedicated birth with my second. My first son had complications that I believe were due to the epidural I had, so I decided no meds with any future births. My second son ended up being 10lbs 4oz! If you have any questions just ask!
@sjohns08 I bought the girls lunchablea today while running errands and there was only one pizza one left. I bribed DD2 to let me have the last pizza one. Told her I'd give her the chocolate inside.
@bluejeanbabi05 If DH wasn't such a worry wart I would definitely partake in a small glass occasionally. He side-eyed me just for trying a sip of his beer a few weeks ago.

We're going out for dinner tonight for DD1 early bday dinner. She is going to be 10 tomorrow!!! We were going to go tomorrow night but since we're taking her friends out for a lunch and cake st our house after they're not going to want dinner. DD1 loves sushi. There's an amazing sushi and buffet place that is pretty good. They do have cooked sushi available like shrimp tempora and eel etc. should I risk the cross contamination. I'm leaning towards yes. There's plenty of other things I can eat but I want sushi dammit!
@carries2018 i got lucky! Both of my girls love it!! DD1 more than DD2. DD1 eats everything not super spicy. Her favorites are anything with salmon. DD2 loves anything with shrimp and eel.
@bluejeanbabi05@jessafishy I am debating trying out the non-alcoholic wine, a mom from my previous BMB has had it several times recently and says it's not bad.
@carries2018 can I be your kid? I like sushi and I would love a pony.
@jessafishy that's funny. DH side-eyes me on some random things, but every time he drinks wine he tries to get me to have a glass. This was the first time I actually did have my own little glass vs. a sip of his, and it was such a disappointment. I had two sips and poured the rest in my friends glass.
@mrs_fogue I actually did have some non-alcoholic wine last time around. I don't remember much about it though. I just know I felt super awkward because I was like 36 weeks pregnant in a liquor store with my friend.

@bluejeanbabi05 Again, DH is a worry wart. So I would only have some small glasses until DS was probably 6 months or so old.
The general idea is if you are sober enough to drive, you are sober enough to breastfeed. Your breast milk has a similar alcohol content to your BAC so baby is getting like 0.08% or less even if you've had a few drinks. It also drops as your BAC drops so no need to pump and dump.

@bluejeanbabi05 I did. I only pumped and dumped if I felt buzzed. I always kept a stash just in case for those moments. I think I only had to pump and dump like 3 times from newborn to 12 months. I did use milk test strips though
@bluejeanbabi05 It's a little hard to do without compromising supply. But some people get TONS. I didn't respond well to the pump until much, much later.

@bluejeanbabi05 what do you mean early? Like right after baby is born. I would do it if you feel more comfortable but 1 glass of wine shouldn't make a huge difference.
I follow @carries2018 rules too and can't wait for my small glass of wine in 2 weeks. Actually, I bought a couple cans of this seasonal berry cider to save for 2nd tri so I'll probably go for a glass of that first. And I noticed it's already gone from the store shelves, so I'm glad I stocked up!

I was thinking around 20 weeks pregnant, why, is that too early?
Jk I more meant a few weeks or so after baby is born.
I did have to start pumping a bit around 2-3 weeks because I was Matron of Honor in one of my friend's weddings when DS was 3 weeks old so I had to have some milk for him while I was away. I really think that affected my supply, though.

I started pumping around 4 weeks. Other moms in my BMB started pumping immediately and had crazy supply and were able to build giant stashes before going back to work. They would also set alarms to pump MOTN even if their babies were sleeping. I hated pumping and was lazy about it and never once set an alarm to pump. I don't know what I'm going to do this time. Probably start a little earlier though. UGH I don't want to start thinking about pumping yet.
DH thinks we need to explicitly add "then comes marriage" but I think it's too many words cramped in the photo. I think I need to reframe the shot so there's more blue space above the scene to add the words there - kinda overarching. I've also got to go in and brighten the whole photo. It looks a little dark
It was cute hunting around town for the right lego minifigs for this with DH. And he is a lego fanatic so it's been fun watching him be so excited for this. I personally was feeling a more timeless photo of us two with a onesie. But, all in all I've got bigger battles.
@bluejeanbabi05 I feel for you and your sore ta-tas. Mine hurt the first few months, but it seems like since I have stopped progesterone, they have deflated and can be free again. I'm sure this is temporary!
@sjohns08 oh man gushers sound so good right now! Having a hidden stash of food sounds like such a great idea. I may need to do this to keep DH from getting into my rice crispy treats.
@jessdg so sorry about your SCH. If you take a break from Netflix and want to change it up, I just finished reading Big Little Lies and I recommend reading it! Another activity I would recommend is online shopping. I hope your week of bedrest goes by quickly.
@pizzamonster3 I agree with others, I love seeing a pizza love tit. Makes me hungry.

I thought pumping along with breastfeeding can increase your supply? It says that on the Medela site, but they obviously have a vested interest in pumping.
On an unrelated note, I just got an invite to one of my friends baby showers, and it says to bring the gift without any wrapping of any sort, just a bow on top. "An unwrapped present is just as sweet, and will save more time to mingle and eat!"
Perhaps I am a curmudgeonly traditionalist, but I am NAF.
@PizzaMonster3 cute! I agree with your H about adding the words "then comes marriage." Also, what about putting Oct 2017 instead of "soon?" Soon could mean anything!
@riverraine I left it as "coming soon" because we hadn't confirmed the new due date yet and I'm on the cusp. And it felt blasphemous to put coming sept 2017... Thanks for the feedback!
@pizzamonster3 omg I seriously love your announcement!!! You could add the "then comes marriage" text, but honestly, I don't think it needs it. The legos show the story, so people will put the pieces together. Fun idea.

@erink7211 sorry to disappoint, but I actually roll it up into a ball and eat it that way
@ChocolateIsLife I always hide food from my kids lol. They eat non-freaking-stop, so if I left it in a regular cabinet, it would be gone before I get any and I am possessive of my food. I just bought some edible cookie dough today too that I had to hide in the very back of the fridge so dd1 doesn't get into it. I have no guilt in this either haha
@PizzaMonster3 love it so much! Honestly I was looking for the words, "then comes marriage" but it works either way. You could always say "Fall 2017" instead of soon so it at least narrows it down.
@PizzaMonster3 I'd put marriage on the right corner it looks a little unbalanced anyways. And put you last Oct date. And tell everyone that. That way if you go late you don't get 46392637282 texts "have the baby yet?"
@bluejeanbabi05 professional drinker/BFer at your service. Totes possible. If you are fine milk is fine. I only pumped drunk/buzzed to keep supply up. And would use stock to feed. Pumping I started around 2 weeks. Once I got in the groove I aimed for 8oz a day but rarely got that. I had 2 pumping sessions during day naps (never at night). It all worked out well ish. Until I went back to work and DD was in 3% in weight.
@canonmom413 I'm definitely eating sushi tomorrow, so I'd say, go for it! I'm just staying away from the raw stuff. i wasn't even thinking about cross contamination, though. This baby's already had deli meat (not heated), blue cheese, and sushi previously, so maybe I'm not the best person to be giving out advice, though.
