Also, @bluejeanbabi05 I second what a lot of others have said regarding drinking and BFing/pumping. I didn't go crazy with drinking, but I didn't worry about it either. Like @jessafishy said, the percentage of alcohol that gets into your breast milk is equivalent to what goes into your bloodstream, so it's pretty minimal. You can buy little test strips to test the alcohol content if you're concerned (my cousin did this), not sure how legit they are. On the plus side, stout beer can help your supply! Lucky for us, our babies are coming just in time for stout (pumpkin stout!) season.

Don't pump and dump!! Save that milk, Mark it as boozy. Use for eczema, put in the bath, use for conjunctivitis, get a breast milk "pearl" necklace (sounds weird but I regret not doing it after seeing some of my other mom friends) Dilute it 1 ounce boozy to 5 ounce non-boozy when you start to use your stash for bottles.
I pumped fairly early to build up a stash and increase my supply before going back to work since it was inevitably going to drop when going back to work and I had to leave my kid over 20 ounces a day for daycare pretty quickly.

Oh and I'm sure my kid had an alcohol tolerance by his first birthday.... I drank frequently during our breastfeeding months but followed the general rule that if I felt okay then bm was okay.

To whoever suggested 13 reasons why... I gave in and started it last night! Kept me up way past my bedtime until midnight (lately I've been falling asleep at 9), and I only stopped then because my computer battery died and I was too lazy to get the charger. It's so good!

Ok you all have convinced me to try this show! It looks so good. And it gives me a reason to avoid my DVR. We've reached epic levels of back-up and FFTC, I get overwhelmed when my DVR is too full, lol.
@JessDG More amazing. It was like multiple doughnuts in a circle (think like a bundt cake shape) with icing and sprinkles on top and icing in the center.
But it wasn't just a circle of doughnuts, they actually made doughnuts into this shape. I wish I had known about it when they were still intact so I could have gotten a picture. But they were fabulous. I don't know how that guy is so skinny. If my spouse worked in a joint like that, it would not be a pretty picture.

@JessDG Okay so apparently I got to the cake after it was already torn apart. I went to the bakery's website and THIS is what it looks like when it's untouched (except ours was chocolate):
Dear Diary: I feel like I've been in a permanent state of almost zero makeup and leggings since I got my BFP. I miss getting glammed up and going out. I would make DH take me to a fancy dinner, but we're trying to save money and blah blah blah.
Update on Toddler Bed Transition Saga: I got frustrated last night when he wouldn't settle and told him I was leaving the room and "locking the door". His room doesn't have a lock but I held the door shut and he threw a FIT. However, when I finally went back in because he wanted me to rock him, he actually settled down and laid in his bed and stopped screwing around.
Why is this so hard? Ugh.

@jessafishy my parents used to baby-gate me in my room and just left me to cry.
Morning ladies! Just catching up while having breakfast (boring quick oats) My parents used to do the same thing as @beezeemarie mentionned. Aaaaand plus onn on the leggins, makeup and being on a budget!
@jessafishy my parents used to baby-gate me in my room and just left me to cry.
I hate doing it, but I'm just at a loss! If I try and sit in the room with him he just continues jumping and playing and I get so frustrated and ragey.
The strong-will is going to serve him well someday but right now it's mentally challenging me.

@jessafishy we had a really bad time with the transition wish DS. The second we put him in a big boy bed he immediately realized his new freedom and got up anywhere between 10-30 times a night. I really wish I had some advice but nothing worked for us. We tried holding the door closed, the baby gate, punishments, rewards, sticker charts, everything. Nothing helped but time. I really hope you can find something that works but at least take comfort in knowing that this will pass! My H and I repeated that every single night.
@jessafishy with dd1, we tried the gate but she just climbed over it. The doorknob covers she managed to get off. Finally, we had to just sit outside her door and every time she opened it, we would pull it back closed. We did this for at least an hour every night. It was a living hell. But after about a week of doing this, she got the hint and was pretty good after that.
With DS, he shared a room with DD1, so we couldn't really do any of that because it would keep her up. Hind sight, we really should have just sucked it up and done something because he was a terror at bedtime until he was 3.5.
I'm so not looking forward to starting this this weekend with dd2
