Backstory: This is from a children’s book called The Day the Crayons Quit. It’s about the crayons that belong to a boy named Duncan and they have a list of grievances that explain why they’re quitting. Yellow Crayon and Orange Crayon are always fighting because they both think Duncan should use them to color the sun. The last time Duncan colored a picture with this sun in it, he used Yellow Crayon. Yellow Crayon is boasting about it. Orange Crayon doesn’t want to hear it.

@feeislove I love that book! I just bought a branch-off board book yesterday where the crayons from the original book teach kids about all the different colors and what they can be used for.

I'd totally forgotten how friendly everyone becomes when they see a pregnant woman.  I get so many genuine smiles and "how are you?"  I guess my normal RBF gets in the way?

I seriously love how many new nail salons are within my area. The competitive prices are giving me a happy. With that being said, I'm trying to catch up on these threads, and I think that's impossible with all of the great(and long) conversations you guys have put out there. I love that there are so many organic friendships are building on TB. * side note and pet peeve: the woman sitting next to me is groaning from her pedi. It's so awkward.

People ask me how I'm feeling ALL THE TIME. And (FFFC) sometimes I forget that I'm pregnant so I get so defensive.

I'm like, "Why? Do I look like shit?! Are you trying to butter me up? Are you about to ask me for something?!"

@PizzaMonster3 Kind of. I asked and she said based off the info I gave her, It sounded like a glucose issue. But because I have no history of problems and it was a one time occurance and hasn't happened since, she won't worry but to remember to eat something more substantial with a sugar substance like jam. I guess waffles and jam just don't cut it alone. Oh well.

Argh. DH feels the need to have smart devices all over our house. Most of our lights are Hue and we have Sonos speakers everywhere. He decided that the tv I usually watch tv on needs it's own Sonos speaker base. I vehemently argued, because I just want freaking normal sound I can control with the remote. He promised the only difference will be better sound.

Now, I can't adjust the volume with the remote half the time and even when it works, a huge box appears on the screen. I'm so annoyed at DH. His solution is for me to just control the volume with my phone. I DONT WANT TO. And he spent like $150 on this thing. Argh

FOUR HUNDRED DOLLARS. DH spent $400 on the above speaker. No. You did not spend $400 to force a speaker on me that I hate. Put it somewhere else. I just kind of yelled at him and he disconnected it. I feel bad, because it's his money and he can do what he wants with it, but not in this case it was just ridiculous. He never watches this tv.

@bluejeanbabi05 wow your DH sounds so familiar!  I once tried to buy one of those fancy universal remotes, to cut down on the dozen that we have. It only worked to consolidate 3 of them. You seriously have to do a dance, say a prayer and make a human sacrifice for technology to work with each other today. OH and the first suggestion when it isn't working is to turn it off and on again.

Thanks for asking!!  I am on day three if my "captivity" as I like to call it.  It's nice to relax, but I hate not being allowed to do normal things!  I am getting our money's worth of Netflix for sure.  I see my doc on Monday, so I hope she orders an ultrasound to check things out.  I'm still bleeding a little bit and it is turning much darker, so hopefully that means things are progressing.

@bluejeanbabi05 my DH is obsessed with Sonos speakers too. I listen to NPR whenever I'm in the kitchen on a $20 radio I got at Target a decade ago and he gets sad puppy dog eyes that I still use it instead of the Sonos in the living room (our kitchen/dining/living is one big open space so either would work). Dude. With the radio I press one button and it's already tuned to the right station. With the Sonos I have to use an app on my phone and go through like 8 additional steps. I do not get the obsession. 

He hasn't switched out TV yet, thankfully.

Possible TW*A friend of mine is 23 weeks pregnant. She worked really hard to lose weight before she got pregnant and has self-image issues. She's already struggling with the 9lbs she's gained since getting pregnant. Which is pretty good, I think. She runs into some relatives that she hadn't seen since Christmas. They say the following: "You're planning on losing that weight again arent you, maybe you can lose it slower this time so you dont gain it back so fast" Why. The fuck. Do people think it's ok to say that to someone?! HOW IS THAT OK?!**

Sorry to bring down the mood I just needed to rant.

So my daughters friends mom ( I guess she's my friend lol ) is remarried. Her husband has a twenty something year old daughter ( and a few other children) from a previous relationship. The daughter is pregnant due October 10th. She had a gender reveal party today. It's a girl. Or is it? I mentioned on one of her pictures, oh so jelly! We didn't do the genetic testing and have to wait for our anatomy Scan. She then says, " she's had multiple sonograms , so they were able to find out early." Ummmmmmmm

I fail to see the correlation between the amount of sonograms and the accuracy of sex result.

She would be have been only about 12 or 13 weeks. I'm not sure I would trust it enough to throw a party based on a sono this early. But who knows
