@baycamp the few people who know have been telling me it's a boy because I haven't thrown up, and honestly I will be happy with either but I have always imagined having a girl.
@BayCamp the mom to be at the baby shower I went to is having a little girl and had very little nausea and didn't throw up once. Easier said than done but just try to ignore them. For every crazy sick mom of a little girl, there's a barely sick mom of a little girl. This is why I don't put any stock in these things.
@jess0211 and @DuchessOfCambridge thanks! As soon as I posted that I felt ridiculously guilty for even hinting I'd be disappointed with a boy because really, I won't be! My bff is having a boy a month before us and they'd be the perfect age to be best friends, I love the messy chaos of having a little boy already. Boys are amazing, DS is 2 and is this amazing combination of rough play and sweet cuddles. Like he'll growl at me until I give him kisses lol
TL;DR I'd be so lucky to have 2 little boys and I'll be thrilled with whatever I get!
Yesterday my mom said she keeps thinking of them as girls, but that she needs to stop that because we don't know. I can't say that I have a real preference...but I'm a little more terrified at the prospect of two boys at once. Then I see these cuties (who I creepily took a photo of on the street) and any worry melts away.
Oh can I add another fun fact - my mom believes in astrology and per DHs astrology chart he has two kids a boy and a girl. However he also has two wives!! ahem! Per my astrology chart I have tree kids. That makes so much sense. My mom is a firm believer. I have yet to tell her about this baby! Going to do it Mother's Day and then she will start building the baby's astrology chart like she did for DS.
@bklynchica I am also freaked out about the idea of twin boys. It's so funny bc before having girls I thought I wanted all boys because I'm not super girly and don't like dealing with drama so I thought boys would be easier. But now I'm so used to girls! I actually catch myself thinking of the babies as girls a lot, but it's probably bc I'm used to thinking girls. I was totally wrong at my guess with #2 so I have nooo idea!

No worries, I get it, I wasn't trying to shame you, just give you more examples. I think we should stop beating each other up over this. We all just want healthy babies first and foremost and would be happy with just that. We know we're lucky to be pregnant and others want what we are so blessed to have. Still, I think it's ok to dream about having a little girl or boy, we're human and it doesn't make us bad people. In fact I do slightly hope I'm having a girl but I am pretty convinced I'm having a boy and I'm still ECSTATIC. I look at little boy things all the time because I'm so excited. Maybe others disagree but I don't think we should feel guilty or make each other feel guilty about hoping for one or the other especially if we recognize the biggest hope is just for a healthy baby (which you clearly do). Just my opinion.
I just realized that even if this baby is also a boy, my son was a summer baby and his clothes will all be the wrong size/season!!! I mean, some stuff will be fine but how annoying is that lol

@jka427 I had a summer and winter boy and I also thought the clothes wouldn't line up but then DS2 was giant and everything lined up perfectly. My problem now is he's almost the same size as DS1 so I dont have clothes to hand down.

Haha I could see that happening because my son is tiny..maybe it'll work out!
I really wanted a boy first. I admit I probably would've needed a little time to be sad if it hadn't worked out that way. No shame in that. In the end, you'll love your baby the same regardless.
This time I'm truly indifferent. But DS really wants a little sister, so that could be interesting. I see the advantages of hand me downs and kind of having a feel for the boy mom thing. (Although, even if we have another boy, this child might not be all vehicles, sports, and dinosaurs like DS is.) I was a girly girl and loved my baby dolls and playing dress up and all that. So it could be fun to share that with someone and I feel it's slightly more likely to get that with a girl. When we gave DS a toy stroller and a doll he would run around and crash the stroller and laugh as the baby flew out lol. Mostly he used that stroller to transport his trains and tracks. He's naturally a stereotypical boy. (But that does not give him leeway to be a bully or harass other people in any way, shape, or form. "Just being a boy" is not an excuse for bad behavior.)
I'm really hoping for a girl! My first is a girl and was born in October, so all of her adorable clothes will be able to be worn again! Plus, id like for DD to have a sister. Either way, it will be exciting!!
