@jaejaystark I just got my results. The second beta was 11.94. My RE has marked my file with "slow to rise" and I will need to go for another test on Wednesday.
I was really hoping for a stronger number to make me feel more at ease. If we were doubling normally, it should have been at least 21 or so. She said even though it is slow, it is still increasing so she told me not to panic just yet. Even "slow to rise" hcg levels can go on to have a normal pregnancy.
They explained there could be one of two things going on which we won't be able to determine without further monitoring.
Worst case: The hcg will start declining and will likely terminate this round on its own.
OR
Better Case: Where we did a timed intercourse cycle we could have had late implantation. It can apparently take up to 12 days for a fertilized egg to implant. I had read 6 days, but apparently it can be up to 12? If it was late at 12 days, that would have put us at 3/29. In that case, we may just be starting to see hcg begin to produce & rise.
I've got my FX. At the very least, I just hope the numbers continue to rise.
@katherind Gosh, Why do we have to worry about every little part? We all deserve a great vacation!

I started an April tww but it's crickets, so I'm going to post here where some of you are further into your tww.
I had my fresh transfer this morning and I'm feeling a bit of mild cramps & nausea, this didn't last time. Have any of you experienced this? Also, I'm going to start testing this time so I'm not blind sided by AF like last time. When is the trigger shot out of my system?
@Aera11 congrats on your transfer! I experienced cramps that very night into the next week! My doctor said it was normal to have some cramping from the procedure and from implantation. I did not have any nausea but I didn't want anything besides soup for 2 days. My trigger shot was out 8 days after transfer but I heard it could take until 10 days (just depends on how much you took). A general idea is about 1 day per 1,000 units. Good luck!

@qsmadd It is certainly frustrating sometimes. I thought I was keeping it together yesterday, but as soon as DH got home I lost it...like ugly cry lost it. Feeling better today and just hoping for good results tomorrow.
@soontobemommahowe 50* did feel amazing compared to what we've had! My RE is at IVF New England (Boston IVF) in Bedford, NH. You?
QsMadd yay for that third beta! Aera11 I would join the April TWW but my beta is tomorrow. lol Congrats on your transfer (mine was last Monday!) I tried to test out my beta (poas everyday after trigger) but I never got a negative. All of the googling I did showed that while MOST ppl are done with their trigger in about 10 dp trigger (also dose dependant) for some it can stay in up to 15 (which sounds crazy, but that's what ive read) I hear most commonly your body clears 1000 units per day, so if you had 10k like me it should be 10 days.
Thank you @QsMadd & @dragonette505! I've had many trigger shots & always waited for my blood draw instead of testing early. My beta is next Thursday so I'm just trying to figure out when to really start the bsc. I took two Ovidrel last Wednesday and my transfer was yesterday morning. Longest two weeks ever...
@katherind im at the center for reproductive care in Exeter. But I don't LOVE it, the RE is only In The office once a month so I never get to see her. And they are very anti monitoring, they want you to do meds, +OPK, then call for IUI. I'd like to know what's going on in there! Do you like where you're at? I was considering potentially going somewhere else if we need to pursue IVF. We still have the current IUI and one more to hopefully get a BFP but I'd love to have some options in mind

@soontobemommahowe We're only a few towns apart. Talk about a small world. I live in Raymond, but go over to Bedford for treatment.
Dr Wright is the only one in that office and I think she travels to other offices in Mass as well. I think she's only there a couple days a week. She has won many awards for her work and seems very knowledgeable from the couple times I've met with her.
You'd primarily work with the techs & nurse. They do blood work and ultrasounds between 7 and 9am, then call in the afternoons with results and directions. The one downside is that if the appointment falls on a holiday or weekend, you usually end up going down to Lexington Mass. for that appointment. I have been monitored (bloodwork & ultrasounds) every two to three days during our TIC cycle. So they really like to monitor closely & are good about answering most questions.
One thing I wish they did a little better is walk you through what to expect next or what your results mean. It took a lot of my own research and asking questions here to finally get the hang of how the process works.
Oh my goodness @katherind I'm in Hampstead, we're basically neighbors!!! Thank you for the review of your facility, I'll definitely have to look into it

Hi all, I just got my 3rd test back. My hcg dropped to 8.02 from 11 something. As I sort of figured, it looks like we're going to be unsuccessful this round after all. I'm to stop all meds & we'll retest again Friday to keep an eye on the levels.
I'm pretty bummed, but at the same time this was our very first try and we made it this far. I guess I can be thankful to know that it is possible, just not this time for us.
The nurse said we can start again as soon as AF passes & we have a negative pregnancy test. They will probably change the meds around a little bit and start at a higher dose since we took a month to respond initially.
@katherind so sorry to hear the news! *TW* It helped me when I miscarried to know that it's possible to get pregnant. *End TW* That's great news! We're right there with you.

Thanks, ladies! I'm surprisingly taking it ok. My RE called me directly but I missed her call. I'm scheduled to speak with her over the phone Friday morning. In her voicemail, she said my overall results were encouraging that we made it as far as we did on the first try. She'd like to discuss our options and set up a similar second cycle but with some tweaking to see if we can respond quicker than last cycle.
@dragonette505 -that's a great first beta! congratulations! FX it keeps rising! When is your next beta?
@katherind- I am so sorry about your results. Sorry, I commented on the other thread before I read your update here. I have to say that when I had my chemical, the only silver lining was knowing that I COULD get pregnant. So, it is good to keep that attitude Since it was your first try, that is very hopeful, and I am sure that you will have great news again soon.

@ac93639 That sandy beach sounds a lot better than the "balmy" 50 degrees and snow covered ground I have here in New Hampshire.
Keeping my Fx crossed for you too! It sounds like you're estrogen is making some progress.

I had my fresh transfer this morning and I'm feeling a bit of mild cramps & nausea, this didn't last time. Have any of you experienced this? Also, I'm going to start testing this time so I'm not blind sided by AF like last time. When is the trigger shot out of my system?
My trigger shot was out 8 days after transfer but I heard it could take until 10 days (just depends on how much you took). A general idea is about 1 day per 1,000 units. Good luck!

@qsmadd It is certainly frustrating sometimes. I thought I was keeping it together yesterday, but as soon as DH got home I lost it...like ugly cry lost it. Feeling better today and just hoping for good results tomorrow.

Do you like where you're at? I was considering potentially going somewhere else if we need to pursue IVF. We still have the current IUI and one more to hopefully get a BFP but I'd love to have some options in mind

**Sensitive info in this post**

@katherind- I am so sorry about your results. Sorry, I commented on the other thread before I read your update here. I have to say that when I had my chemical, the only silver lining was knowing that I COULD get pregnant. So, it is good to keep that attitude

@katherind I'm so sorry to hear that. The good news is that you made it this far and the next time should be easier. I admire your positivity. *hugs*

I'm waiting to hear from the doctor today. No changes on the follicles. I'm hoping for an increase in medication but I have a feeling he will stop me until next cycle.
