@mountainlady Congrats! That's really exciting.
@LoveDontCostAThing wooohooo. I bet it was fun to see. Hope for us all!
@ShyTonia Your US is on the 10th, right?? That seems like an eternity. My first beta is on the 6th and it seems like next year at this point.

It's exciting to see so much success on this thread! I'm 8DPIUI and hoping for the best! Did anyone take progesterone? I take HCG for progesterone boost and last month it was fine but this month I feel like a crazy person. I almost cry at random things and yesterday I got in an argument on facebook with strangers! I never do that! I'm tired because we just bought a house and are remodeling so it might be that but I feel really really different from last month.

Hey everyone - thanks for all the hugs and well wishes - catching up on the thread now as I decided to take a mental day yesterday and not look at anything TTC related. I'm feeling better today - Monday night I had a few glasses of wine and just snuggled with DF and watched some tv. Then last night I went to my best friends after work - she cooked me dinner, bought me pajama pants so I'd be comfy since I was coming straight from work, we watched trashy tv, played nintendo with her fiance and she made me a cadbury creme egg cheesecake for dessert - it was an awesome night and made me feel a ton better.

We decided to take a break from fertility intervention for the next month or two. The last year we were debating pushing our wedding back a bit if I got pregnant (originally our plan was to start trying when we got engaged, hopefully have success within 6 months, have the baby and then have the wedding in September of this year - obviously that didn't work out once we hit the fertility wall!) however we decided now to keep the original wedding date which is 9/24 so my plan is to enjoy wedding planning for the next few months. At least having been to the fertility doctor we now know what the issue is and we have a pretty good protocol in place from this month that seems to be helping so when we are ready to start again hopefully we are on the right track.

Hope all are doing well and thanks again for all your support!

@Irisheyes81 I take progesterone suppositories twice a day for 2 weeks. For me that is the worst part of all of this. I get really bloated, like you I cry at nothing and would get really anxious. I talked to my doc and they gave me something for the anxiety. I also get very exhausted. I never feel like doing much when I am on them.

@thothscribe81 You have some great friends and an awesome DF! September weddings are the best. You will be a beautiful bride. I love that you played Nintendo. What game? Was it the old school one from the 80s? Remember the powerpad? I loved the smell of that thing. Weird I know. Sounds like you guys have a really good plan for the future but can also take some time to just hang out. TTC is so difficult and draining. It seems like it takes up ever ounce of energy and a break will be nice. I'm so glad you're feeling better.

@baseballhoney that is such a bummer about the progesterone. I thought the cry thing was bad but bloating, exhaustion and anxiety! It's crazy what these hormones do. I feel more energy with all the fertility drugs but I think it might be because I don't drink as much wine :p

@lovedontcostathing Congrats again! I'm so happy for you.

@thothscribe81 You have wonderful a friend and DH. I hope you enjoy your wedding planning. Fall weddings are beautiful. :)

I did a hpt yesterday and today and so far there is no trace of a positive line anywhere in sight. *sigh* I have my beta at 7:00 tomorrow but won't hear results until the afternoon. I'm hoping to jump right into try #2 in April. Maybe April showers will bring more than just flowers, right? I'm staying positive and hopeful, but I'm guessing I'll be ordering more Menopur in the near future. I'll confirm with the RE how quickly they start the next try and if it will be a Menopur/Ovidrel/TIC cycle again. I'll let you all know my official results tomorrow. Still hoping to be pleasantly surprised, but not holding my breath based off of the last two hpts.

Just got beta #2 back and it looks great at 534. My progesterone is 120 and estrogen is 2358. So very happy. My third beta is next Monday and then they will schedule an ultrasound after that!

@katherind I hope the beta turns up positive for you. There is always a chance that it is just a slow start! If it is negative, I think you are right to jump right back into it if you are up for it!

Ultrasound went great I think! I still am waiting for the nurse to call me and tell me when to take the trigger shot. I had 4 follicals on my left and I think 3 or 4 on my right. The biggest was 21, I don't know what a good size is as the tech made it seem it was good but didn't say much.

@morgan&paul2010 that's so many follicles! Awesome. My RE has always said 20 is about where you want to be so I wouldn't be shocked if they call back and say to trigger today. What CD are you on?

**Lurking from PAIF** @LoveDontCostAThing - Congratulations!! The ultrasounds will generally stay vaginal until week 10. My 8 week U/S was both actually - took a look with the abdominal and then did vaginal. The vaginal ultrasound can sometime cause irritation of the cervix, especially if you are doing some kind of vaginal progesterone so my tech liked to avoid them but I still asked her to do it for my 10 week for a better look :) So if you have some light spotting right after, that may be why but still call your RE to let them know. Not everyone gets a ton of ultrasounds but I thought I would comment just in case. Good luck to everyone on here this month!!!!!

Okay awesome! :) I'm cd12 today. So I've heard once the follicle is mature it's only good for a certain time, is that true? Cause I think normally I ovulate late which in my non medical mind would make sense to why we haven't conceived yet.
• Options

@morgan&paul2010 My RE will trigger at 18mm. It seems like anywhere from 18-20+ is the "sweet spot" for triggering.

So I just got the call and was extrememly surprised to find out my beta was positive!

My hcg is 7.27mIU/ml which is very low. This also explains why the hpt was negative. Even the most sensitive early detection tests don't start registering hcg until 15 mIU/ml.

I'm contemplating taking another early detection hpt over the weekend to see if I start getting a positive line or if I should just wait for my next beta Monday to see if we are increasing.

I will go in Monday for a second beta and see if the numbers are climbing or dropping. The nurse mentioned that they'd likely do an early ultrasound in the near future as well and do some close monitoring due to the low hcg level.

We will see what happens! DH and I are very excited to have even gotten this far no matter what happens next. From what we thought was never possible, to a positive result just amazes me.

I'll keep you all posted. :)

I got the call! Trigger shot tonight. They gave me a whole speech about maybe taking the month off. I had 6 follicle and all are mature. So we have a chance of all six! Our twin and triplet chances are very high this month. But we've been at this for so many years we feel like it's more hope for us and a better chance. Will there be a April TWW?
• Options
@morgan&paul2010 Lucky you! My doc will trigger at 18. If we have 4 or more follicles that big they won't let me finish the cycle. They will give me something to get my period. He doesn't want to risk more than twins.

AC93639 Don't worry too much about the estradiol dipping a little. Mine did the same thing for one appointment then bounced back at the next. I was a slow responder and my cycle went for a month. I maxed out at 6 vials / day for a couple weeks then finally responded really well out of the blue.

It will happen. FX for you!

Thanks everyone, I'm really excited and anxious! Praying that DH sperm count is good in the morning- it should be it's motility is a little low but nothing of too much concern.

Hahaha let's hope we don't have a reality show

@jaejaystark Sorry to hear about your results. My FX are crossed for your next cycle. :)

As most of you know from my previous posts, Thursday morning's 7am beta came back with my hcg at 7.27. I will have beta #2 on Monday at 7am.

For my own curiosity, I used a ClearBlue hpt this morning around 5:30. These tests don't start registering hcg until about 20. The result: I have a, faint, but positive line! *happy dance*

I was a little worried about the low level, but I've read that you can have a low level and still have a successful term as long as the levels are doubling properly.

I will use the last early detection test I have tomorrow. Those register hcg starting at 15, so I'd expect to see a more solid line on that one. So, my FX are crossed that my hcg is increasing at a good rate and that we'll be okay.

If anyone lives in the northeast US, be careful today. Just walked my pups and there's lots of heavy wet snow out there weighing down trees & power lines. Isn't this supposed to be April?!?! LOL. Have a great day, all!
