I've been saving this one for a few days... Reese's pieces are possibly the worst invention in the history of candy and an insult to real Reese's cups.
I am not a fan of ultrasounds. I am uncomfortable every. single. time. The pushing on my stomach and feeling like I am suffocating brings me no joy and if I can avoid them I do.
I've been saving this one for a few days... Reese's pieces are possibly the worst invention in the history of candy and an insult to real Reese's cups.
There. I said it.
Amen! They had the opportunity to create what M&M did with peanut butter M&Ms (which are divine) but nooooo. Epic fail
@wyomama0427 I completely agree!! I've got a whole bag of original Reese's cups sitting in my work drawer right now. Though I really love the holiday Reese's (the eggs, trees, hearts) because the PB to chocolate ratio is wonderful.
@lap018 PB M&Ms are my absolute favorites! I think the peanut ones are gross, but I could eat the PB ones for days. I may have to go find a.. medium size.. bag on my way home from work, now that I actually want sugar once in a while again! :-D
@wyomama0427 I loves Reese's pieces! I like peanut butter but only in small amounts so that could be why but I would eat them over M&M's any day!
My UO is that it drives me insane when people get offended over every little thing. We are adults and its not going to kill us if our feelings get hurt.
@Msashley2010 I actually don't care for the Reese's eggs and the trees and stuff! Lol! I prefer the original cups over everything else they've done, even the minis! Why fix it if it ain't broke?!
@lap018 yesss I love those and I also really love peanut M&Ms!
@sugarrush-2 I didn't mind them with DS at all but this pregnancy I've noticed the ultrasound and even the Doppler are VERY uncomfotable, the pressing hurts my uterus. So I don't blame you there. And the checking to see where the uterus is. I thought I was going to cry at my first appointment with pelvic exam and everything, all the pushing and pressing and feeling.
@Ae_Lovely321 what I would give to be able to get abs in 5 minutes lol! That would just make life so much easier but no you actually have to exercise more than once. Pffffft.
@wyomama0427 what?! Another lover of Reese's pieces here!
Question: how does everyone say Reese's pieces? Do you actually say "pieces" or "pee-sees"? I know the proper way but hear it both ways.
Going along with the peanut butter candy theme... my UO is that Reese's peanut butter cups do not have the correct ratio of chocolate to peanut butter. I eat the outsides and give DH the middle (or throw it away ).
@dogdisnylovr I say Reese's Pieces and also my heart hurts thinking about all the unwanted Reese's middles you have thrown away.... I'm going to have to pretend you didn't say that for the sake of our friendship.... lol! Jk. But for real the middle is my favorite part lol I eat the outside and save the middle for last!
@wyomama0427 lol in hopes of saving our friendship I will say there have been very few that I have thrown out. Due to my dislike of regular peanut butter cups I usually opt for something else. The mini's ratio is so much better and I can eat those all day!
Lol @dogdisnylovr I was just kidding, but it does oddly make me feel better that there aren't a ton of discarded Reese's middles alone and feeling unwanted in a garbage somewhere lol!
@MyNamesTaken We have Smarties in the US, but I just Googled and learned they are different than the Smarties other countries have. I thought it was weird to compare Smarties and M&Ms.
I've been saving this one for a few days... Reese's pieces are possibly the worst invention in the history of candy and an insult to real Reese's cups.
There. I said it.
I hate all Reese's products. I like chocolate and I like peanut butter, and sometimes i like them together, but just not how Reese's does it.
My UO is I HATE DUNKIN DONUT'S COFFEE. At 4:45am on the way to taking DH to work, we stopped at Dunkin, I could barely put my order in because I NEEDED COFFEE. And then when I got said coffee, I remembered...I don't like this coffee, and was seriously disappointed. But there, I said it. I do not "run" on Dunkin.
@wyomama0427@bridge-and-wall Those are called Rockets here! These are our delicious Smarties: You guys also don't have ketchup chips or all dressed chips there I think! My cousin in Ohio stocks up every time she visits. Lol

@MyNamesTaken what is ketchup chips or all dressed chips? I second @bridge-and-wall 's curiosity...but I warn you they do not sound appetizing to me (not the biggest fan on ketchup...GASP another UO).
Lol @labby18 I have hated ketchup for so long but when I first got pregnant I made myself some angel hair pasta and couldn't stop myself from eating ketchup on it and I felt disgusting and ashamed.
@MyNamesTaken I probably would pass on the ketchup chips but I'd be so interested to try the all dressed chips!

Holiday Reese's are my jam. They used to just be for Christmas, but now they are for All The Holidays. Woohoo! I also love the Easter Reese's Pieces egg things- they are sort of like Cadbury Mini Eggs, but way better.

It's pieces, not pee-cees. I had a girl in college continually butcher Reece's Pieces because where she's from they call them Ree-cee Pee-cee. I cringed with her terrible pronunciation. Lol
@labby18 I've never had it from dunkin before. I actually don't think I've ever been in a dunkin store. Once you've had Daylight Donuts, nothing is ever good enough
@wyomama0427 i do not get donuts from there, it is just the only place open before 5am here. If i get donuts here, it is from Krispy Kreme, but back home in VA we have Duck Donuts....omg amazing.
@labby18 I'm going to google duck donuts lol! There's a place called Voodoo Doughnuts that everyone always talks about that I've been dying to try! But Daylight still has my heart my dad and I used to get up super early and get donuts. My sister and I even got up early and went to Daylight on my wedding day lol.

GIRL!!!!!!!! Duck Donuts is the Shiiiiiiiiiit. Omg.
We just moved to Jersey Shore last summer and I was driving down the street and almost crapped my pants! Someone franchised a Duck Donuts up here. So. Effing. Good.
ETA photo of DD with Duck Donuts. The maple bacon is my jam.
@labby18 As a Canadian with a love of Tim Hortions coffee I have to say, Ive tried dunkin a handful of times in the US and HATED it- I likened it to dirty toilet water. Overall I think Americans do coffee wrong. I couldn't drink for any major US chain place that Ive tried. I have had good coffee at independent coffee houses but no luck at the chains.
As for the Canadian snacks, I LOVE ketchup and all dressed chips! Ive met a handful of moms from the US and we always do a treats exchange.
@Souptin i usually get my coffee from local coffee houses but slim pickings this morning at 445am as i ran out of cream at home thus no viable coffee at home.
Another Reese's pieces lover here. And I agree, it's something about the chocolate/peanut butter ratio. Reese's cups just has too much peanut butter for my tastes.

Regular m&ms are gross though. Smarties are so much better! I don't think those are available in the US though so you're stuck with the subpar m&ms?
