@labby18 As a Canadian with a love of Tim Hortions coffee I have to say, Ive tried dunkin a handful of times in the US and HATED it- I likened it to dirty toilet water. Overall I think Americans do coffee wrong. I couldn't drink for any major US chain place that Ive tried. I have had good coffee at independent coffee houses but no luck at the chains.
As for the Canadian snacks, I LOVE ketchup and all dressed chips! Ive met a handful of moms from the US and we always do a treats exchange.
Ohhhhh my goshhhhhh seriously no one has lived until they have had Tim hortons! I visited a friend from Canada about two years ago and I made her take me there everyday! Lol! She was probably tired of it but oh my goodness no comparison
Major UO alert - I HATE Tim Horton's. Everything there tastes so fake and gross. The coffee is weak and nasty. The dark roast is better but still meh. I much prefer McDonald's coffee or Starbucks for the fancy stuff

McD's has REALLY good coffee but only in Canada. They source different beans/blends for US and it tastes like sadness in a cup.
@wyomama0427 what?! Another lover of Reese's pieces here!
Question: how does everyone say Reese's pieces? Do you actually say "pieces" or "pee-sees"? I know the proper way but hear it both ways.
Going along with the peanut butter candy theme... my UO is that Reese's peanut butter cups do not have the correct ratio of chocolate to peanut butter. I eat the outsides and give DH the middle (or throw it away ).
It's pieces, not pee-cees. I had a girl in college continually butcher Reece's Pieces because where she's from they call them Ree-cee Pee-cee. I cringed with her terrible pronunciation. Lol
lol not going to lie, I've pronounced it both ways. I know pieces is the proper pronunciation, but it's kind of like the word Caribbean to me. My pronunciation changes with the sound of the sentence.
This reminds me of an argument DH and I have about Mallo-Cup (the superior version of a Reese's peanut butter cup). He says it one way and I say it another.
Disclaimer: I am in WV and hear all sorts of things pronounced incorrectly!
@lap018 I guarantee you she was not sick of it. Most of us cant function without it daily. I was SO SAD that food aversions took coffee away from me- right at the beginning of roll up the rim season too.
Reese's Pieces > Reese's PB Cups Peanut M&Ms > M&Ms PB M&M's are disgusting and Old Dutch Ketchup potato chips are the best. I feel like I'm betraying my Canadian side but I don't love their Smarties.
I've been saving this one for a few days... Reese's pieces are possibly the worst invention in the history of candy and an insult to real Reese's cups.
There. I said it.
DH and I just had this conversation yesterday! I told him the new Reese's cups with Reese's pieces inside are just ruining the Reese's cup. He doesn't get how I can like one and not the other.
@labby18 I can't stand Dunkin! Seattle native so I was spoiled with good coffee growing up. Everytime I want a munchkin though I forget I don't like that coffee and then end up disappointed when I order it.
My UO - last night I went to sushi with a friend who is a few months further along than me. We didn't order anything raw but the looks we got coupled with an older lady who came up to loudly let us know how irresponsible we were was quite interesting!

I feel like you have taken this just a bit too far!!! Lol
On the topic of coffee, we buy the whole bean bags of Starbucks coffee and grind them up at home. SO has an espresso pot and milk frother and makes the best lattes.
I dont like McDonalds coffee but their lattes will work in a pinch.
My UO is I think sandwiches are gross. I can't stand peanut butter or lunch meat sandwiches. I would rather eat a nasty hot dog than a sandwich anytime.

Sounds like my DH. I had the hardest time trying to fix lunches for him to take to work. Most of the time I just made a little extra for dinner for him to take with him.
I had had my first coffee when I was pregnant with DS, and it was actually the BMB who convinced me to go and try it (at Dunkin!) for the first time! Now I drink it regularly, but it's more like creamer with a splash of coffee.
My UO: I live in the south and I hate sweet tea. Or any type of tea. The smell is just weird.
My UO is I HATE DUNKIN DONUT'S COFFEE. At 4:45am on the way to taking DH to work, we stopped at Dunkin, I could barely put my order in because I NEEDED COFFEE. And then when I got said coffee, I remembered...I don't like this coffee, and was seriously disappointed. But there, I said it. I do not "run" on Dunkin.
PREACH sister!! I moved to MA last year. I pass 5 Dunkin donuts on my 14 mile drive to work. They make a subpar cup of coffee.
And when we were in Maine, McDonald's used Newman's coffee, which was good.
I say "ree-sees pee-sees" even though I know that is not proper. Just call me Janice in Accounting because IDGAF. I don't eat them anyway, unless there's no other option. +1 on the pb M&M's train.
H and I call it "Timmy HoHos" and while I love the asiago bagel, I don't love their coffee.
My UO: I think Keurig makes a cup of bullshit instead of a cup of coffee. There's one in every break room here at work, and it tastes like waste water.

+1 on the Keurig gross cups of coffee. However, in college I perfected the Keurig cup using the grounds that you put into the replacement K-cup thingy? (Words are hard right now.)
@jena333 I use my keurig every morning, I'm not saying it makes great coffee but it'll do when I have a toddle to chase all day. I mean it makes sense that the longer the brew the better the taste. But I've had a couple of brands that are actually good, not great, but good in the keurig. Trust me I'd rather have a French press every morning but I just don't have the time

Haha this! And he's even hanging on my legs screaming at me when I'm using the keurig
@lap018 After reading your post the first thing I did was reach into my desk for some peanut butter M&Ms. Also, it was 8 am at the time. No regrets.
@jenna333 I too am guilty of being a "Ree-sees Pee-sees" person. I know how to say it correctly, but I just can't stop myself.
Also, Dunkin' Donuts is the WORST. They opened one two blocks from my house, so we go there a lot because it's the only donut shop nearby, but I'm really not a fan. The donuts are just eh and the coffee makes me want to puke. Love me some Voodoo Donuts though.
@iheartichi Sweet tea makes me gag. I think I've said this on a previous UO, but I love Popeyes chicken. The other day I went there and was really craving tea with my chicken and totally forgot that they serve sweet tea. It ruined my whole delicious Popeyes meal.

@Lizlann hmmmm I've never had Popeyes! We have one here but for some reason just never tried it. Is it like Bojangles in kind of spicy? Me and Bojangles go waaaaaaay back.
@labby18 I'm just over here trying to figure out how I didn't know Chik-Fil-A has iced coffee..
They started just about 2 years ago in February. It was my senior year of college and they did a whole free month of coffee. Like literally just walk in, take coffee, leave. The promo worked, because it got me hooked.
I have a non-food related UO! Going through a big bag of hand-me-downs yesterday, I discovered that: 1: I think about 85% of all baby clothes are really ugly. (DH and I are both really picky about clothes, apparently that is going to carry over to our kid.) 2: I really hate the color orange in 98% of its iterations. I've never really worn it or loved it, but hadn't realized how much the it repulses me until I was holding a tiny orange onesie, and my internal reaction was this:
@mrs_tacos I think most of the baby girl clothes I see online are hideously tacky. I'm constantly sending ugly stuff to my mom. The glitter, the gigantic bows, the over powering prints... ugh.
In the past few days, I've realized I feel similarly about a lot of girl nurseries.

Aww ladies, don't be mad at me!
I've had it from someone's home, and it's not garbage. I think it's that the water that flows through the machine here is boiling, so it is just so yucky.

Also, Tim Hortons in vastly superior to Dunkin Donuts. Vastly superior.
