R/R: sorry I haven't been around much this week! Work has been so busy and I've been exhausted when I leave. Hopefully I'll have some time today to catch up on the threads!
CS/Q: I don't know what's up with my chart. If I put in a high temp for tomorrow and Saturday it gives me CHs for cd 14. Don't know what it needs to wait for 5 temps to give them
GTKY: What is your favorite date night activity? (Trying to get some new ideas here!) we did an escape room recently and that was fun! we've also gone fishing, to the gun range, on picnics, try to switch things up a bit
WAYDTGKU PNV, eating better, exercising, HIO when CM shows up
R/R I'm feeling pretty good. I have starting eating better and exercising - I should have started a while ago, but I feel if it doesn't happen this cycle or the next, it gives me time to lose a bit more weight before going to see the RE. So I'm ok either way (at least that's what I'm telling myself today)

GTKY: What is your favorite date night activity? (Trying to get some new ideas here!) We have date night pretty much every Friday. We just go out to dinner, which I really enjoy. I also like activities like going to a play or museum, ice skating, walks. Kind of lame, but nice.

GTKY: Favorite date night activity?
Our first date was at a baseball game so I enjoy doing that. On Friday nights
they have fireworks afterwards so that’s always really enjoyable for us. Other
than that, we don’t really have formal date nights. We will go out to dinner at
a sit down restaurant instead of fast food or go see a movie. Other than that,
we just hang at home.
@beachbunnyxo123 – I’ve been wanting
to do an escape room but we can never find a good group of people to go with
us.
@RVAmom315 – I’m glad that working
out and eating better is helping you feel better. I always feel better when I
do those things but I tend to get stuck in a rut of bad habits lol
@starla! – FX for ovulation soon!
What is porking (in my mind I’m thinking eating a lot?)?
Edited R/R because misunderstood...

R/R: No rants so far I'm only working until 6:00am to 7:30am this morning getting my charges to school, and then I'm done for the day! I'm going to immediately crawl back into bed and sleep for another couple hours. Last night was taco night at my bffs house and I didn't get home to sleep until like midnight. Usually I like to be in bed winding down around 9, so I'm dragging a little this morning. You guys, I am just so freaking glad it's Thursday and not raining. I'll probably do some gardening later.
CS/Q: I don't think so
GTKY: What is your favorite date night activity? (Trying to get some new ideas here!) We live about an hour from Napa Valley and we've got some wine club memberships, so we like to head up there to wine taste and get a really nice lunch (picnic or otherwise) and just relax. We also have a Vespa, so driving to various activities around the city like baseball games, festivals, etc are always high on our list of date things. Just getting out of the house is the main goal
R/R: I have some kind of flu and it's terrible. So I called healthlinks to see if I should go to a doctor and she was like "nausea and back pain? Sounds like you're pregnant" I guarantee you I'm not. "You should go to your PCP and make sure" I almost crawled through the phone.
CS/Q: I'm going to ask the phlebotomist but I've been throwing up since 7 last night and I'm doing the CD3 bloodwork today (they said cd 2-4 and the lab didn't want me yesterday apparently). Does anyone know if it'll skew my results?
GTKY: What is your favorite date night activity? (Trying to get some new ideas here!)
We're nerds so our date nights tend to involve dinner and then Pokémon Go or Call of Duty lol

Enjoy your day! @lulu1180 FX for you! @wabash15 Hi CD buddy
@beachbunnyxo123 I think it probably
has to wait because you don’t have that many pre-o temps entered here and there
is so much up and down (fall back). FF, I’ve decided, is smarter than I am.

on earth are people so insensitive… and also just dumb. Like that is a very
dumb response to someone who is sick.

R/R: Rave: Everyone was SO nice here

board b/c this last month has shown me how sure I am that I want to be very
private IRL about TTC. In fact, I told my friend last night DH and I are going
to take time away from TTC. That is a lie, but I am trying to figure out my LP,
and I really don’t want anyone asking about it… but at the same rate, one needs
support on this journey, so this board is THE BEST! Hugs all around. Also, I
slept so well (for me) last night. Yay!ug
CS/Q: This time my temp dip came a day
after AF showed (last week it was the day before). But I was sick two days
before that, so I think it was a little messed.
GTKY: What is your favorite date night activity?
(Trying to get some new ideas here!) This isn’t night, but DH and I love
going to brunch. I also love seeing movies with him since we do it so
infrequently… but I also REALLY need to work on being more romantic, lol. I’m
not wired that way.
@RVAmom315 Ha! That's awesome - I love those. For some reason, I thought it had something to do with cinnamon rolls and I was so excited to hear about that!
@Starla not typically but sometimes it has happened! I just started temping again this month after a 3 month hiatus so it's been a little adjustment for me! Glad your kitty is doing better!!!
@wabash15 you're right that does make sense!! Hoping your follie check goes great tomorrow!!
Wow I started writing my check in, got distracted and then the thread blew up!
@beachbunnyxo123 I kept looking for it too assuming I just wasn't seeing it and then when I thought about making it I couldn't think of a GTKY question lol!
@BreezyBee Hope you have a nice nap later! Also, super jealous you live so close to Napa. It's definitely on my bucket list to go there someday!
@Dilynne So sorry to hear your not feeling well. Major side eye at the person you spoke to on the phone.

R/R: TMI warning- Even though this is my 3rd AF since going off BC I'm still not used to her fury quite yet. I went to the grocery store yesterday and got myself some super turbo tampons that I'm hoping will do the trick. I thought about using my cup today but we have single stall bathrooms at the clinic I work at and it's really awkward when someone knocks on the door. I already get anxious when I'm trying to poop let alone change my cup.
CS/Q: Nope.
GTKY: What is your favorite date night activity? (Trying to get some new ideas here!) DH and I are kind of lame and we typically just go out to dinner as our date nights. We never eat out during the week so I kind of look forward to trying new restaurants on the weekends.
@JJMNO1616 literally laughed at my desk about your poop comment. My last job we had single bathrooms and the struggle was real, so embarrassing and even worse if there's a line but it was from the person before you!
@beachbunnyxo123 I've had that happen with FF too, where it felt like it took forever to get CH. I think it's because of the rockiness of the last few days, and it needs to make sure there is a consistent trend - GL though!
@RVAmom315 Good for you! I'm also trying to exercise more and eat better - and my next thing will be cutting back on the wine. Not only does it feel good in general, but it makes me feel like I'm doing 'more' to get KU
@starla! Glad your kitty is doing better! Also keeping my FX you O soon!
@justkeepswimming8 Are you temping to confirm O as well? I feel like you've talked about not, but I forget why... Just asking because I know a few women (myself included) that have had fake outs, and turned OPKs and then not actually O'd... it's frustrating, but I'd imagine it would be even more so if you didn't realize it was a fake out until AF didn't show up when expected
@Stargazer1lily We also like doing that - we live near the mountains, so we'll often pick a Forest Service Road to drive up and explore
@BreezyBee Yes! We've also got a nice day after so much rain, and it's very exciting
@Dilynne So sorry you had to deal with someone like that and on top of already being sick!
@wabash15 GL with the follie check tomorrow! Keep us updated!
@EmilyLove25 We're always happy to be here for each other! I think a lot of us struggle with that, and don't want to share details about our TTC with the people close to us. I know I only want to discuss things when I want to - I don't want anyone asking about it. Also - as much as I love my friends and family, there is a comfort in being able to ask a virtual community things that are maybe a bit TMI for friends/family!
@JJMNO1616 I went through the same thing when I went off BC... sometimes I'm still surprised a year and a half later. That's really unfortunate that you aren't comfortable using your cup at work - after using mine for so long, I don't know if I could use a tampon anymore

WAYDTGKU: everything
R/R: There was a wind storm last night, so DH and I both only got a few hours of sleep. Of course, that messed with my temperature this morning, in a critical window. We had also planned to HIO this morning - I fully expected him not to wake up, but when I had temped and then said good morning, he sort of groaned, then perked up and was like 'It IS morning!' and got to it!
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: What is your favorite date night activity? (Trying to get some new ideas here!) DH will cook an extra nice dinner and then we'll curl up with a movie
@beachbunnyxo123 I have had FF do the same thing to me once before, and I had a similar see-saw pattern going on that cycle as well. Like @wabash15 said, it is just trying to confirm that it really is a true shift.
@starla! Happy to hear kitty is doing well!
@Dilynne Sorry, I have no insight on whether or not your results may be affected, but I hope you are feeling better soon. Also, WTF healthlinks lady?!?!
@wabash15 Good luck tomorrow!
@EmilyLove25 Glad you are feeling better today! I have opted not to really tell anyone IRL about TTC for the same reason. This board has definitely helped to keep me sane though :)Month/Cycle: 10/12

GTKY: What is your favorite date night activity? (Trying to get some new ideas here!) Honestly, DH and I are pretty much home-bodies, so our date nights usually consist of Chinese food and a movie. If we do go out, it is usually just dinner and/or drinks somewhere with live music.
@pinky917 hugs, hang in there girl @JJMNO1616 I love my cup but I hear you with a single bathroom. @Sailing_Mama glad your plan worked out this morning! DH was bemoaning the fact that we are in a "dark time" aka no sex until the follie scan and then likely that will be extended until IUI...

@beachbunnyxo123 Yesss it's the worst! I'm very "regular" so there isn't anyway I could be one of those people who just waits until they get home. I feel like I have a reputation in the office as being the "pooper". Sorry not sorry?
@RVAmom315 I've been to a theatre like that before but the food is so expensive!! I'd rather just sneak food in lol!
@Sailing_Mama Glad to hear you had a great start to your morning!
@Pinky917 Sorry to hear you are having a rough week. Hopefully your DH can help cheer you up a bit tonight!
@sailing_mama – I am not temping yet. I wanted to wait a
couple of months after going off BC in case it takes some time for my cycle to
regulate. If I have another regular 28ish day cycle this cycle, I’ll probably
start temping next cycle. I’ve also been keeping track of my CM and CP to help
figure out fertile window. Hopefully it’s not a fake out!

@wabash15 Haha - I could see my H saying the same thing... hopefully it isn't too bad! Out of curiosity, why can't you HIO before the scan or between it and the IUI? Is it because he needs to keep his reserves, or something to do with your end? I don't know much about the IUI process, sorry.
@RVAmom315 good for you! I've been trying to do the same with exercise and eating better and it really makes all the difference in how you feel!
@beachbunnyxo123 I've been dying to try one of those escape rooms! My brother did one in an abandoned mental hospital and it sounded so creepy!
@Dilynne I work in a lab and I don't think your results will be messed up unless they're drawing normal chemistry labs. If it's just CD3 stuff (which is usually hormone levels I believe) it should be fine!
@wabash15 good luck with your follie check tomorrow!!

@shortstack930 glad your having a good day and able to take your mid off of TTC! @JJMNO1616 so even if you don't have a MFI problem they want a break in BD sessions to make sure the numbers are higher for IUI. Its not uncommon to be ready to trigger at the first follie check, if so the IUI is typically 36hrs post trigger. so again no BD to ensure good numbers. If the follies are growing slowly they will probably have us sneak in another session before a follow up check.

Feeling pretty down today, as you do on CD1’s, and while a lot of it is for the obvious reason, I’m just so frustrated with my body right now and its inability to give me a decent luteal phase. It’s making everything seem so pointless. Went to look at a house this morning that we’re thinking of buying, and it’s different than what I expected, not bad, just different. So I’m not sure know if I just want to like it (it’s next door to one of my best friends) or if I actually like it. Decisions.

@KatieEl ugh sorry for CD1 and body frustrations. My body frustrates the heck out of me sometimes, with its inconsistent cycles... I just wish I could be normal... @SoraLk I used to love going wandering around bookstores (with coffee). DH worked at one for a year, so the thrill of being in one kind of wore out after going to meet him for his "lunch" breaks (usually more like dinner breaks) several times a week became a common occurrence. @Sailing_Mama LOL the story about YH cracked me up. MH hates being woken up - except for sex!
R/R: I don't often share personal info with people but when I do, man sometimes I wonder if I'll regret it. *TW* I had a conference with a mom today that I really like. We got off topic talking about traveling the world and she asked where to next for me and I said probably nowhere since we've been trying for kids. She asked how long and I said 8 months. She said give it a year then look into fertility treatments. Then for some reason, I thought it'd be a good idea to tell her I was just going through an ectopic. As I'm saying this, I'm thinking "why am I tells by the mom of two of my kids this??? ". Turns out, she had an ectopic rupture. Then they found scare tissue in her other tube so the took both. She had to have IVF which is why she has the twins. So it was interesting that she had gone through it too, in a different way. But after, I was thinking that I really hope she doesn't tell any other moms at the school!! I need to keep my mouth shut!! **end TW**

@EmilyLove25 only one friend IRL knows we're trying. When we were TTC the first time, I had friends monthly asking if I was pregnant. I don't want to deal with that again so I'm keeping it to myself except for one friend, my mom and sister. It's easier that way but still nice to have some support.

@Sailing_Mama sorry about the crappy sleep but I'm glad you got it in this morning!

(Trying to get some new ideas here!)
we did an escape room recently and that was fun! we've also gone fishing, to the gun range, on picnics, try to switch things up a bit
CD 9
WAYDTGKU PNV, eating better, exercising, HIO when CM shows up
R/R I'm feeling pretty good. I have starting eating better and exercising - I should have started a while ago, but I feel if it doesn't happen this cycle or the next, it gives me time to lose a bit more weight before going to see the RE. So I'm ok either way (at least that's what I'm telling myself today)

We have date night pretty much every Friday. We just go out to dinner, which I really enjoy. I also like activities like going to a play or museum, ice skating, walks. Kind of lame, but nice.

CS/Q: Nope
GTKY: Favorite date night activity? Our first date was at a baseball game so I enjoy doing that. On Friday nights they have fireworks afterwards so that’s always really enjoyable for us. Other than that, we don’t really have formal date nights. We will go out to dinner at a sit down restaurant instead of fast food or go see a movie. Other than that, we just hang at home.
@beachbunnyxo123 – I’ve been wanting to do an escape room but we can never find a good group of people to go with us.
@RVAmom315 – I’m glad that working out and eating better is helping you feel better. I always feel better when I do those things but I tend to get stuck in a rut of bad habits lol
@starla! – FX for ovulation soon! What is porking (in my mind I’m thinking eating a lot?)?

@RVAmom315 What's Cinebistro?

(Trying to get some new ideas here!)
We live about an hour from Napa Valley and we've got some wine club memberships, so we like to head up there to wine taste and get a really nice lunch (picnic or otherwise) and just relax. We also have a Vespa, so driving to various activities around the city like baseball games, festivals, etc are always high on our list of date things. Just getting out of the house is the main goal

WAYDTGKU: All the things

@beachbunnyxo123 I think it probably has to wait because you don’t have that many pre-o temps entered here and there is so much up and down (fall back). FF, I’ve decided, is smarter than I am.

WAYDTGKU: Having sex, OPKs (two kinds), going to start tweaking my diet, etc.
R/R: Rave: Everyone was SO nice here yesterday and I am so, so much more at peace today! I am so grateful for this board b/c this last month has shown me how sure I am that I want to be very private IRL about TTC. In fact, I told my friend last night DH and I are going to take time away from TTC. That is a lie, but I am trying to figure out my LP, and I really don’t want anyone asking about it… but at the same rate, one needs support on this journey, so this board is THE BEST! Hugs all around. Also, I slept so well (for me) last night. Yay!ug
CS/Q: This time my temp dip came a day after AF showed (last week it was the day before). But I was sick two days before that, so I think it was a little messed.
GTKY: What is your favorite date night activity? (Trying to get some new ideas here!) This isn’t night, but DH and I love going to brunch. I also love seeing movies with him since we do it so infrequently… but I also REALLY need to work on being more romantic, lol. I’m not wired that way.

GTKY: What is your favorite date night activity? (Trying to get some new ideas here!) DH and I are kind of lame and we typically just go out to dinner as our date nights. We never eat out during the week so I kind of look forward to trying new restaurants on the weekends.

@lulu1180 GL in the TWW! FX you don't come back!

GTKY: What is your favorite date night activity? (Trying to get some new ideas here!) Honestly, DH and I are pretty much home-bodies, so our date nights usually consist of Chinese food and a movie. If we do go out, it is usually just dinner and/or drinks somewhere with live music.

@sailing_mama – I am not temping yet. I wanted to wait a couple of months after going off BC in case it takes some time for my cycle to regulate.

Btw, I'm the pooper out of all of my friends, so I'm laughing in solidarity.

Decisions.

**end TW**

GTKY: What is your favorite date night activity? (Trying to get some new ideas here!) we go out to eat every weekend. But my favorite is doing something on Disney property (going to a park or getting food)

@lulu1180 good luck!!!
@Dilynne I would have wanted to kill someone during that phone call. Hope you're feeling better!
@EmilyLove25 only one friend IRL knows we're trying. When we were TTC the first time, I had friends monthly asking if I was pregnant. I don't want to deal with that again so I'm keeping it to myself except for one friend, my mom and sister. It's easier that way but still nice to have some support.
@JJMNO1616 ah, I'm very familiar with the turbo tampon life. Not fun! And I cracked up and your cup/poop issue at work
@Sailing_Mama sorry about the crappy sleep but I'm glad you got it in this morning!
@KatieEl sorry for CD1. I hear ya, girlfriend
@purplg8r sometimes it just feels good to share what's going on out loud rather than only on here. Hopefully it helped you a bit to hear her story!
Month/Cycle: 9/11
CD: here we go again... CD1
WAYDTGKU: right now just waiting for AF to GTFO
R/R: Well I'm in the middle of testing to make sure things look good on my end. So far my progesterone levels were normal. Next up is CD3-5 bloodwork which had a list of shit that's going to be tested. That'll be a fun start to my Monday morning!
Hoping that all turns out normal.
Other than that, my body is a dick for not cooperating this month and getting knocked up. Cool, thanks body. Oh and per FF...today is 8DPO and now CD1. Even cooler

We don't do much. Random nights out for dinner or we stay up late and rent a movie. I know, I know...I hate to show off in front of all of you like this, but we're just awesome.
