Im now just over 7 weeks pregnant with our second child. EDD 11/11. Our Daughter is just about to turn 1 middle of April. Our two will be 19 months apart which is definitely creating some fears! We are keeping the pregnancy a secret until my daughter birthday. We want to tell our family after her birthday is celebrated so we don't take away from her day. It's been so hard as our families are so close to us and we see them several times a week and my symptoms are very intense this pregnancy.
I have my first OB in a couple days. Pretty nervous as I was diagnosed with Gestational Diabetes at only 5 weeks with my first and I'll be 8 weeks taking my 1 hour sugar test this time. Hoping that I will pass and not have GD again!
Any mommies have babies close together? Can you tell me your stories? I'm super nervous, and also nervous about how our families will react even though this is a PP. me and my sister and 17 months apart and my husband and his brother are 21 months apart and I've already heard them say how we should wait till our first is a couple years old... Any advice or encouragement would be great!
Hi!! I'm 5 weeks with #2. Dd is 2 in May. EDD is 11/27. This was month 5 of Ttc. I'm so nervous and excited! Weird symptom.....I broke out in a horrible rash on my forehead and both forearms which has been there a week now. I took Zyrtec last night and have been putting coconut oil on about 6 times a day! It's been miserable and nothing I've dealt with before. Happy pregnancies to you all!
I just moved from Monroe back to Georgetown, KY where I'm originally from! I will most likely deliver around the same date because my cycles are longer. Edd is 11/27 but I'm guessing it will be more like 12/1. Welcome!
@srobbins1019 I have had major dry, itchy skin! It's such a strange pregnancy symptom! I think there are a few reasons skin issues can appear during pregnancy, I am planning to mention it to my doc just in case. Welcome!
@liz4382 Dehydration can cause dry skin. Could that be part of it?
It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
@SLegg728 my first two are 18 months apart and my third will be 19 months younger than my second! My oldest (DD) has never been jealous of my son, and at this point (they are 2.5 and 1), I'm sure she has no memory of being an only child. They love each other so much and are learning to play together and share. Of course there are a lot of challenges (and many more to come), but I love their age gap. It's definitely not easy, but you'll be fine. Just take it one day at a time, or even one minute at a time, at the beginning, and try not to stress about your N17 baby's arrival now. It will be okay.
@NYTino24 I am really conscious about drinking a lot of water (always have my water bottle with me throughout the day), but I know you do need more water during pregnancy so that could be part of it. It came on really suddenly both with this pregnancy and the last, pretty much as soon as I got pregnant! It was my first symptom. Who knows...
@SLegg728 I have a 10 year old, 5 year old, and 7 month old! (Plus 6+7 year old step children). This new baby will be only 15 months younger than my now 7 month old! I have no advice for the baby stages as my 6+7 year old step children didn't come into my life till they were 3+4! But I wanted you to know that we'll be in the same boat this time around! Eek!!
Hello, thought I'd introduce myself; I'm an RN in Philadelphia and currently 6weeks 3days pregnant with baby #3!!! My daughter is 8 years old (my type I diabetic warrior) and my son is 3.5 years. Shortly after the birth of my son I was unexpectedly widowed. The following years were very dark for me and my children. A little over a year ago, I unexpectedly met an amazing man (a fellow nurse) and we fell in love! He is a wonderful father figure to my children as well. He proposed in December and we were planning a big wedding for next summer, but now we've decided to have a city hall wedding this summer while I'm pregnant! This will be his first baby so he is thrilled! I'm so excited and nervous all at once!
Hello! 39 year old FTM (just a few months shy of 40) here. My husband and I have been married just over a year and this will be his first as well. I'm just over 7 weeks with an EDD of 11/11. We live in north Alabama on Lake Guntersville; I'm a compliance officer for an insurance company and he does lawn work. I look forward to getting to know all of you and to learning from you - I'm definitely going to need the education!
Not sure if I will be joining November or December as I haven't gotten af since number 2 who is 18.5 months, but I got my bfp last Wednesday. I have a July 11 and sept 15 baby. First beta done today to see about when to get an u/s for a potential due date
Hi ladies! I'm a STM with a nearly two year old boy named Avery. My EDD is 11/25/17. We'd been trying for a while so still wrapping our heads around the reality of having an infant with a toddler! Also, toddler emotions are super intense and I'm so freaking exhausted that I feel like I'm already not giving him the attention and love that he needs. How to love the same way has always been one of my biggest fears about having a second and I feel like I'm having more kick me on my butt symptoms earlier this time so I'm having a lot of guilt. Any one else out there feeling this way?
Hi ladies! I'm Airynn, 35 and we are expecting our 3rd! I had 4 failed pregnancy tests before a glimmer of hope so I'm still in shock that we are pregnant! I'm excited though as I loved my last two pregnancies though this will Be the first one where I've lived in the US so I'm not sure what to expect with hospitals/doctors/interventions here. Excited to walk this journey with you all!
Hi everyone! I'm 34, live in Boston. FTM, expecting Nov 12th. We're extremely excited, but a little more than slightly terrified. Found out hubby got laid off from his job after we started trying but before we knew we were pregnant! And we were all lined up to buy a house. So a little stressed, but I know (hoping) it will all work out. So excited to find this group (:
Hello all! STM joining in with due date 11/10. I measured small at an early ultrasound (6 weeks) with no heartbeat so I am anxiously awaiting my 8 week ultrasound this Friday to confirm that the baby is actually growing. Fingers crossed!!
Hi everyone!! I'm excited (and a little surprised!) to be here! I just tested today due to nausea over the last few days. Im not exactly sure when i ovulated since I'm actually still breastfeeding my ten month old little guy. I had just gotten my period back two cycles before getting pregnant this time. Anticipated due date is 11/4. My husband and I have been married for 11 years and have a 10 year old, 8 year old, and 10 month old. All boys! im excited to get to know you all over the next few months!
Hi everyone! My name is Amanda I'm 5 and change weeks and this will be my third. I have two boys 5 and 3 and this is certainly going to be an adventure. Looking forward to getting to know you guys!!
Hi all. My name is Jen, I'm 31 and live in PA. We are expecting #2 on 11/2/17. I had 1 loss in Oct 2012 (about 6 weeks) My daughter, is almost 3 1/2 born on 11/10/13.. Very excited to grow our family..9 weeks today! Congrats to everyone here!
Hi all! I am around 7 weeks and expecting our 3rd. EDD is 11/15. I live in Indian Trail NC. My daughter is 11 years and my son is 9 years, so it's been a while! Both were born in October so I guess we like to have our kids all in the same month! This was a surprise especially since I suffer from endometriosis and struggled to get pregnant before. My first ultrasound is next week! Just have been sick and nauseous all day long! Congrats to everyone!
Hey y'all! I'm a 26 yo FTM in Beaufort SC and we were so happily surprised to become pregnant immediately after stopping birth control. I've been waiting for this day for years and couldn't be more thrilled to be mommy! We believe our due date is 11/27 but have our dating ultrasound on Monday afternoon to confirm. DH is so excited and just took me car shopping all afternoon so ET (nickname for baby as it feels like I've been taken over by an alien) has a big safe car to come home from the hospital in! We absolutely cannot wait to meet our sweet baby and I absolutely cannot wait to be out of the scary and uncomfortable first trimester!
I'm a 24 STM, a little over 6 weeks and due around Nov. 21st (calculated it myself). No symptoms yet.. hoping it stays that way. My first appt. is on April 18th which is also my b-day. This will be mine and my SO second, we have a 6 y.o. DD
Hey y'all! I'm 7 weeks pregnant STM from Dallas. My SO and I are overjoyed to be pregnant with our second child who will be close in age to our DS who is 15 months. Lately my days have been taken over by nausea non stop from early afternoon until bed. I did not have nausea this bad with my DS and am just taking a wild guess that this might be a girl because of this.
I had a very long and tough labor with my DS which resulted in an emergency c-section after 2 and a half days. If any of you FTM have any questions about what can happen during labor I hope I can be of help to you based on what I experienced. Looking forward to getting to know y'all these next several months!
Hi all! My husband and I are expecting our first on 11/28 (we think). First appointment on Monday. Feeling very anxious and hoping seeing the Dr. will help.
Hi everyone. I am currently 6 weeks along. Due 11l23/17. We currently have a one year old who was born on thanksgiving 2015. I'm a stay at home mom and excited to be expecting #2!
Hey Ladies! I am still a little in shock about getting a positive test yesterday, so please bear with me if I ramble. I am a 34yr old SAHM, the DH is 32 and we've been married 10 yrs this year. We have an old dog and two sons already, Dean turned 4 today, and Alex is 15mos. Each kiddo took 12-16 months and a lot of planning to conceive, so this little one is a complete surprise! I expected to have a little more time to plan, but life happens. According to the internet, my EDD is 11/24, but my cycles are/were weird as I had just stopped nursing Alex in January. I will be talking to my doctor soon about the first ultrasound to try to get a better date, but I'm terribly impatient about it all. Good luck to everyone and may your symptoms be light!
I am so glad I found this group! My EDD is Nov 24. This is my second pregnancy, the last one ended in m/c at 11 weeks, just 1 week after we told everyone. This time we are being a lot more hesitant about when we tell people. Even our parents had a hard time keeping the secret so we are going to wait until we get the first scan back as normal. It is so hard to wait!
We live in Ontario. DH has been away for training for the past 3 months and only home on weekends, we have 3 more months to go of living apart which is pretty difficult. When he is done training we will be relocaring so I will need to change midwives and also look for work so that I can still go on mat leave. I am currently teaching Gr 2 and 2/3.
Symptoms so far are sore breasts, bloated, mood swings, occasional dizziness, occasionAL headaches and peeing A LOT! I need to keep drinking more water but it is so hard at work because I can't leave the children unsuperished and don't want to tell my coworkers for another 2 months. I kind of love the symptoms bc it makes me feel like everything is okay with the little one.
Hello. Third time mom here. This pregnancy was a complete surprise for both me and my SO. We were just getting used to having 2 and definitely weren't planning on having any more. The more the merrier, I guess! DD1 is 4 and DD2 is 17 months. So I will have my hands full especially since I am a working mom and plan on going back to school. EDD is anywhere from the 9th through the 12th (DD2s birthday!) as of right now. They aren't really sure and neither am I. I have my first ultrasound on the 12th though so hopefully I will get some answers LOL.
Hi everyone! i'm a FTM, EDD November 22nd. I live in Oakland, CA. and super excited to be pregnant. I hope to learn a lot from your experiences! - Araceli
@araceli_espi Welcome! Not too many west coast ladies on this board so I'm glad to see a fellow Californian! I live a few hours north of you though, so a completely different California
