I went to barre and am super proud of myself. I told the instructor before class I couldn't do abs and then afterwards talked to her about yogalates, which she also teaches. She figured I was pregnant from no abs and is going to discreetly give me alternate moves to do when she thinks I shouldn't be doing something! I also had to tell her I hadn't been working out before I got pregnant. Shame.
I just had a friend from work tell me she's pregnant and due 2 days before me and now I feel super guilty for not telling her my news too. But I just dont feel comfortable yet and don't have a doctors appt until April 24th.
@heatherdubrow my dr specifically said no abs because I haven't been doing anything. I ran once in December and since then my physical activity has been no more than walking. She didn't even want me to do barre until I promised I wouldn't do the abs portion. I grilled her pretty hard on that and jogging, but she was adamant I not do either so I'm going with her recommendation. That's just my dr though, I would go with what yours said is right for you!
I was wondering at what point to drop abs from my workouts. Then I realized at yoga on Saturday that some positions just weren't achievable/comfortable already so I'm taking a "listen to your body" approach. But I'm also terrified to get diastasis recti (sp?) so I'll probably be really conservative with it.
Can you get pregnancy brain this early? I read an info sheet given to me by my OB wrong and showed up to the lab for blood work I wasn't even scheduled for yet.... Feeling really dumb, because I called the OBs office and asked if I was just crazy and the girl ln the other end of the line said "yes... but it happens all the time."
@BayCamp you can do normal crunches/situps until second tri, after that you can do other ab exercises that don't involve lying on your back. Pinterest has some good ones but obviously check with your dr.
Is anyone else nervous for first U/S? It's a week away from tomorrow and I have all these mixed emotions of excitement, anxiety, fear, excitement lol and I can't seem to get DH to understand my crazy feelings. Anyone else?

OMG yes. Mine is 2 weeks from today. I am terrified of a bad outcome like I have had before, but SO EXCITED to find out everything is looking great. I don't normally like to wish time away, but these two weeks need to HURRY UP.

Yup. I would feel that way before every ultrasound/appointment.

I'm feeling all of your feels for my dating/viability u/s this week because while I think everything's been going fine, a part of me is nervous they will tell me it's not all fine. At least I know it's definitely not ectopic.

So much yes. I know I'll either leave with a super huge smile or in tears. There's really no middle ground. I am so excited and so terrified. DH also has to work, so I'm going alone. A friend offered to go with me so that I'll have someone, but I'm not sure if I'll take her up on it or not. After 2 kids, I have no modesty left, so the dildo cam with her in the room doesn't bother me - I just can't decide, in the event it's bad news, if I would rather feel my feelings alone or have her to cry on.

Oh yeah! We're first US buddies! I am feeling all of the same feelings. Excitement, but then fear of something being wrong, then anxiety about the possibility of multiples, then back to excitement, then fear again.
I hope we both get a great image of our little alien 8w babies next week!
My u/s is Wednesday and I had a dream where I worked through allll the emotions. I don't remember exactly what happened in the dream, but I definitely remember the ups and downs of my emotions during it!
I'm super nervous for ours. I'll be 15 weeks (MW group only uses Doppler at first appointment) mainly because I can't shake the feeling it's twins. 15 weeks will be hella late to find that out, although it would make our gender reveal super interesting.
Good luck!! I don't know when my first u/s is but my appointment is next Friday and I'm hoping it will be soon after then! I will need a dating u/s. These first few weeks are the hardest of the pregnancy in terms of worry (for me!). Waiting weeks to know if there is a heartbeat is so hard.

I'm feeling crazy nervous, especially because my OB couldnt get me in for a dating US until 10 weeks. Which seems like so long. My emotions are everywhere.
Speaking of emotions, I somehow thought it was a great idea to watch Deathly Hallows pt. 2 tonight and am currently crying my face off into a slice of my hubbys leftover birthday cake. Hormones are great.

Mmmm cake.
Also this made me giggle because it's pretty cute but I'm sorry you're sad.
I got new shoes yesterday and wore them to work today. I walk to and from work so I need comfy but nice looking shoes. They were going great until I walked home for lunch and all of a sudden my toes hurt. I walked back to work after and just looked at my toes. Turns out one of my little toe nails got caught on the toe next to it and not only did it cut the toe but the nail started to come off. My toe nails aren't even long or anything so idk how that happened. And the shoes are leather moccasins and not something with a pointy toe. I'll be sitting shoe-less at my desk until it's time to go home. Unfortunately I don't have any bandaids here.
I just found out I can get a free pump through my insurance company but not until after baby is born. Because I won't already be super overwhelmed and will want to deal with that paperwork? Wtf?
@jess0211 you can always have your H pick it up while you're in the hospital or when you get home. It's been 2 years since I had DD but I found out which places in my area work with my insurance before I delivered and then had my H bring the Rx to the medical facility. Where I live the Insurance company requires the Dr. to write a Rx to get the pump and that's basically it. There really wasn't much paperwork, the insurance company takes care of most of it.
Random: Do not watch 9 months that made you on Netflix. I thought it would be all cute and informational. Cue the panic attack. It is literally just a show on what millions of things can go wrong at each minute stage of development. Skip. It.
Re: Weekly Randoms 3/27
Also, my boss keeps looking at me funny and maybe I am paranoid but I feel like she knows.
