We already had toddler gymnastics and grocery shopping plus I emptied, purged, and cleaned the refrigerator. Now grabbing lunch during naptime and then we are going to load a trailer with large items for the dump and I'll take that to the landfill and unload (should be quite the sight!) and husband will take our toddler for a haircut.
Then I assume I fall asleep and take a coma. Kidding. Then more housework tomorrow because my inlaws are coming on Thursday. I'll sleep when I'm dead.
Sorry to everyone with toddlers being toddlers, I'm right there with you.
@0408Bear I hope everything stays non-eventful and that babies can remain cooking as long as possible.
@mrsrep123 I agree with PP, and think it would be best to tell everyone before your baby shower.
So today was my first time driving. I was released to drive last week, but haven't needed to until today. Of course my first time out would include heavy rain and a closed lane on the highway. Luckily, I still made it to the NICU in time for a feeding session.
This weekend, along with the next week, is dedicated to studying. I take my boards in a week and may be freaking out a little. BUT, that means next Sunday, I can solely focus on baby things finally!!
@jayandaplus Mine hasn't turned into an outie, but it looks so stretched and gross. I caught a glimpse of it on Monday and it was scary looking lol
eta: Anyone have suggestions of where to find a pretty shower dress? I'm gonna try destination maternity and Macy's. The old navy and target around me have tiny maternity sections. My shower is next Sunday, so only places I can go to, nothing online.
@mrsrep123 I agree with a week or so before your shower and it can be a going away party too. Keeps people from feeling tricked. @starphish18 I hope you feel better soon!! I wasted a whole weekend being sick two or three weeks ago and I hated it. But your body needs the rest! Sorry for those dealing with tough toddlers. I am not excited about that upcoming phase of my life.
We've had a pretty relaxing day here. I laid in bed until 10:15 and then have been doing light picking up/cleaning and laundry most of the day. I like the nesting version of me - I'm much tidier! MHs mom and stepdad are coming up tonight and my parents are coming over too and we're all going to have dinner and watch basketball games and maybe play poker. I'm lucky my ILs and parents like each other. I generally love my inlaws although MIL has seemed a little extra annoying this pregnancy. Hopefully that goes away once the hormones get a little better controlled... Tomorrow I think we're just going to church and relaxing. I have my last super busy week this week so I'll take all the rest I can get!
@absbubbs - good luck with your studying and getting ready!
My belly button is such a deep innie that it has never popped out before. Right now it's pretty flat and probably as flat as it's ever been so it'll be interesting to see if it pops out in the next few weeks.

I think toddlers are like real life sour patch kids, they have tantrums from hell but then have moments when they're so sweet you never want to stop cuddling them.
I was having the hardest time with my maternity support band getting comfortable that I pretty much said screw it and just dealt with the pain and discomfort. Last night I had a idea to wrap my belly with my woven wrap and wow, I haven't felt this comfortable in weeks.
Toddlers are so tough and great. One minute you want to scream with them and the next you want to just snuggle them.
We just got back from shopping! Carters has great in store specials this weekend. They have door busters and 40% off clearance. We got all this for about $55.
So far this morning has consisted of sleeping in late with DH and DD, failing at making a hot breakfast so settling on Poptarts instead, and slowly tidying up the kitchen. No real major plans for this weekend, but hoping to find something fun or relaxing to do with DH and DD on Sunday that doesn't involve DH's family because speaking of in-laws...MIL made a comment to SIL that I probably wasn't supposed to overhear about not wanting DD over because she threw a tantrum last time we were over, something that rarely happens and wouldn't have happened if MIL actually cleaned her house ever instead of leaving things out that are dangerous or shouldn't be played with by a 1yo. DD is very well behaved on most occasions and honestly, I think the tantrum stemmed more from her not being able to communicate her frustration. Either way, I'm pretty pissed and feel like maybe they ought to go without seeing any of us for a while.
I can't figure out a good system to remember and tag everyone on mobile...
To those dealing with toddler drama, I HEAR YA. DS hasn't done one specific thing, just a whole bunch of mini meltdowns that have led to me nearly losing my mind.
Our morning was pretty busy--I made a Target run to pick up some back stock on toiletries, etcetera that I may run out of the first few weeks after the baby comes. I also picked up a nightgown/dress thing (thanks, @Louise_Belcher for the rec!) on clearance for $13 that will be perfect for the hospital as well as some nursing friendly pjs. DH and I took DS to the Museum of Science, went to lunch, then DH and I just watched Billions and chilled during DS's nap. This afternoon, I'm doing the last bits of organizing for the nursery--getting my baskets-o-baby supplies ready for our bedroom and the living room. Tomorrow, DS and I have a playdate in the morning and we will probably just hang around the house in the afternoon.
Countdown is on and I'm starting to really stress myself out about the whole induction and birthing circus to come...in many ways, having an actual date to fixate on makes it worse. It's like staring at a sentencing date, lol...16 days. Eek!
DH came with me this morning to this giant consignment sale held twice a year here. We got most of the big items from our baby shower but needed clothes, so took care of that today! 75 articles of baby clothing (45+ outfits), 4 sleepsacks, 5 maternity shirts and 1 maternity dress for around $200! And a lot were brand new! So happy Hoping to get some gardening done before Spring break is over (nooooo!), but I keep getting tired or it rains, so we'll see!
@bacorrea I think the rule is treat yo self. If you aren't terrified of deli meat and soft serve ice cream you're probably in the pro hair coloring camp. My doc and husband give 0 fucks if I go get my hair colored.
Thanks everyone! It's been a loooong day and still another load coming to be dropped off by that's the last one! I've done my best to take it easy but man it's hard when you feel bad that everyone else is doing everything! I think I might take Monday off to rest and try to put stuff away. I'm sure my boss will understand
Sorry I'm not tagging everyone and I definitely haven't read the 55 post on the thread so far! I'll get there one of these days!!
Hope all all of your weekends are going well!

Wait... we're not supposed to eat soft serve? and I love the IDGAF attitude here
So my lunch with my friend ended up being a surprise baby shower for me! Her and my mom collaborated and invited a handful of my friends and fiance's family. It was so sweet, I didn't really get a shower with DD and definitely wasn't expecting one this time.
Re: belly buttons... my actual belly button hasn't actually popped out, but my umbilical hernia is sticking out so everyone things it's my belly button....
@starphish18 I hope you start to feel better soon!
@NotAPlaya-JustCrushAlot toddler tantrums are definitely not fun! At least yours says 'I'm sorry', asking DD to say I'm sorry makes things worse for us.
Tomorrow is DD's birthday, so today has been spent running errands and getting things ready. After her birthday lunch we are heading down to Disneyland for a few days to celebrate both of our birthdays. Oh, and I got my new car yesterday and I am in love!
@Jens_Hoes I was just about to ask the same question! (re: shower dresses) I'm in the same boat with a shower next weekend and nothing to wear. I was thinking of ordering online from Pink Blush and paying extra to get it shipped faster, but I'm always afraid to buy clothes online and I've never bought from them before (any experiences?). My in-person options are Macy's and Destination Maternity too. Anyone have other ideas?
Today was a bust. It was a preplanned spa day with a few girlfriends that fell through. I decided to keep my massage appt since in-laws agreed to watch DS, but FIL was admitted to hospital yesterday so I cancelled appt.
It rained a lot. I never even put on a bra. DS refused a nap so I had to force him to stay awake when he finally got tired. He just knocked out (earlier than normal). Fingers crossed that he sleeps well tonight.
@Kipperoo ah! Exciting and nerve wracking all at the same time. How long will they let you labor with cholestasis? Are they super strict or as long as everything is going well you're good?
@bacorrea I think the rule is treat yo self. If you aren't terrified of deli meat and soft serve ice cream you're probably in the pro hair coloring camp. My doc and husband give 0 fucks if I go get my hair colored.
I've done all three of those things in the last week and I don't feel the slightest bit bad about it.
I accidentally had a three hour nap this afternoon. It's totally going to screw up my sleep tonight but I don't care. This is the best I've felt all week.
I was gifted the wonderful stomach bug.... last night I was up every hour, haven't been able to keep much down at all! It got better, but now I'm back to even water makes me nauseated
Kick counts went ok today. Not as active as I'd like so I called the ob call dr. He said to drink something hot and sit on the floor. So that gave me an excuse for a Starbucks and lots of stories with DS on the floor. Got them to move for a bit but if I have to do that again tomorrow then I have to go back to triage:/ grrrrr
@bacorrea, yes, it is exciting and also terrifying, haha...With my 1st, I obviously didn't have any experience with labor, so I remember being more excited. This go around, it sort of feels like I'm mentally preparing for war. It sounds like they will let me labor for a while, but I have an added complication of being on blood thinners, which I will have to temporarily stop for the labor, so they probably won't let it go more than a day but it will be a game time conversation.
We started our baby classes today! Did childbirth preparation. Videos of babies right after birth: umm, ok, a little gross. Otherwise was fun and educating.
I have my baby shower tomorrow too so doing my nails now and packing hostess gifts afterwards I have three of them and they're awesome friends.
I felt so productive today and got so much done, but I was so sore after dinner that I thought I'd try a bath. Well, I filled up the tub and the water wouldn't turn off. And DH, who is normally pretty handy, has no idea how to fix it. So all the water in our house is shut off until a plumber can come tomorrow. Looks like we're going to be "camping" for awhile.
@kns1988 well, not too sure quite yet about starting the new job after maternity leave. My release date from my current job is 4/16. I'm hoping to start modified duty on 4/3.... So it's gonna be interesting to see what they do with me.
So am I just going to be cranky and bitchy for the next 9 weeks? I feel bad - my parents and inlaws are over for dinner and I'm just not a pleasant person to be around. Even my mom called me out on it. I know *in theory* I have control over my actions and words but damn I just don't feel like putting in the effort. I'm ready for everyone to go home so I can go to bed!
I just looked up statistics to see how likely it is that this baby is breech like DD was. I thought it was high, but it's only 10%! Now I'm having a mild freak out about a VBAC really happening. Remind me, who else is planning on VBAC?

@KMD1106 I will be attempting one. DS was facing my spine and almost 9 lbs and got stuck. When his heart rate dropped, I had a csection. My OB thinks that as long as this LO is positioned correctly, it should be a smooth VBAC, but I've been stressing about it lately.
I knew I forgot to tag someone! @Jens_Hoes, I bought a Jessica Simpson maternity dress from Macy's and I think it makes me look like a whale. I couldn't find anything else that I liked, so I am keeping it for now and hoping that by May 6th it may look better. I also ended up ordering a maternity Stitch Fix box and requested that they only send me dresses. I'm not sure if you can change the shilling to come quicker, but maybe you could try that. You too @L1C4gal.
@KMD1106 I'm still debating VBAC or RCS. I'm really torn about it. DD was an unplanned CS due to no progress and her heart rate dropping. My doctor says that I can try, but I'm still weighing the pros and cons of both.
@MoshiMoshi7, it's hard to be in limbo waiting to find out baby's position. Don't you wish we could predict the future and know if baby was in a good position for VBAC?
@achays11, that's a tough decision. Has your doctor mentioned whether or not the same thing is likely to happen again?

@KMD1106 I am sort of on team VBAC since I won't electively schedule another cesarean but it looks like the odds are high that I will need a cesarean for one reason or another. Baby is still breech which is an automatic disqualifier for a vaginal delivery. My BP is also creeping up and if it gets too high they will do a cesarean since inducing with pitocin after a prior cesarean is apparently a no-no.
