    ugh, I can't leave my house today because of this damn snow. I used to love snow days, I would use them as an excuse to sit on the couch and watch tv or sew or something. But now that I have an 11 month old, they aren't as charming. I am currently sitting in my dining room watching her watch the Roomba go around the kitchen. Luckily she is super easily entertained (has been watching this Roomba INTENTLY for 20 minutes!).

    And also those who assume that first baby equals a first pregnancy, and that either of those things is something to be condescended to. Now THAT is a thunder twat.

    TW of the day is SO's Aunt. 

    A little backstory is that last year both me and my SO dealt with the loss of our fathers. So we are both extremely defensive of our mothers. 

    Anyway, SO's mother is a complete saint. She is in her 70's and is always nothing but kind and caring. It took so much out of her to lose her husband. She had to move out of a house she couldn't afford into a one bedroom apartment and her life is completely turned upside down. Now SO's aunt (his mother's younger sister that lives in another state) is basically harassing her to take care of her. Initially she wanted to move in with his mom and his mom said that she doesn't have the space. Now SO's aunt thinks that his mom should be sending her money (SO's aunt does not manage her finances well) instead of traveling and visiting family like she wants to.  

    I try not to get too involved in things that aren't my business but since she asked for my input I basically told her that she spent an entire year taking phenomenal care of her sick husband. She deserves to have the time to take time just for her and to heal and to travel and visit family and be happy. Her sister has grown children that live in the same state as their mother that are in better condition to care for her than SO's mother is. 

    Also, SO's mom also needs help as it is. She needs to be taken to appointments and needs a lot of assurance and attention. I have a feeling if SO's aunt moved here we would be the ones to take responsibility for her in the end.

    So, I agree with the TW nomination, but, I'm not gonna lie, the drama was sort of fun to read.

    I am my own twatwaffle, because I ate the last cheesy sausage for dinner last night, and now that's all I want for lunch. I am legit tearing up a little bit right now.

    side note on DH being TW for eating the ice cream...he just randomly texted me telling me to buy our advanced tix for Beauty & The Beast...i think he has redeemed himself.

    I want to see that SO BAD but DH thinks it looks stupid. Maybe I'll just go by my damn self. I haven't seen a movie since I was pregnant with DS. That was inside out. I wanted to see Moana but had to wait til it hit DVD

    @MyNamesTaken I frequently have a similar experience when I tell people I work in the legal department.
