Women whose results are not reported, indeterminate, or uninterpretable (a “no call” test result) from cell-free DNA screening should receive further genetic counseling and be offered comprehensive ultrasound evaluation and diagnostic testing because of an increased risk of aneuploidy.
I interpret this to mean that if your was actually ran the first time and had a no call result, they wouldn't run the same sample again. They'd either get another sample or recommend genetic counseling. Since they have blood from sample 1 to "re-run" the test, I'm still betting odds are in your favor that it never got ran in the first place. Plus, why wouldn't your doctor do any of the further recommendations instead of just having the lab re do the test?
@lahearn18 I'm in eastern but my gym, my church, and my closest Walmart are in central. I can drive 10 minutes up the road and over the bridge and celebrate my birthday (and all the other fun stuff) an extra hour every year

But it's funny that no one really knows about it unless they live there. Indiana also has weird time zone problems. They let each county choose what time zone they wanted to be in. So technically there could be a county farther west but still eastern. Not looking forward to time change tonight. I'll probably go to bed insanely early.

We don't do time change here in Japan, but we do appreciate the States going through it since it makes the time difference less so with our families and friends. So instead of 14 hours difference, it'll be only 13. I'll appreciate it MOST in a few weeks when I come home with our two boys....they say it takes a few days- a week/hour difference for kids to adjust. When we moved here, it probably took me & DH at least a month to adjust...the kids, only a week or two. Hoping it's much quicker this go round...
@jutondreau I'm sorry if this comes off really lame... but is it really cool living in Japan?! I can't even imagine! I haven't been out of the US ever so I'm kind of sheltered in that way... what are your favorite parts of living there?
We do not do the time change here either. I am in HI. We will now be 6 hours behind EST instead of 5. This means since I work EST hours I will be getting up at 3:30 am instead of 4:30 am on Monday. Makes me sad.
@daniellelynette not lame at all! There are parts that are neat--cost of living is HIGH where we are and we are remote, so haven't gotten to do the sight seeing we thought we would. The Japanese are such a gentle, kind culture. I love that our boys are getting to experience it--our oldest (kindergarten) takes 'host nation' classes, so he learns a lot of Japanese. Our youngest is exposed to Japanese in daycare as well, so that's neat. The food is AMAZING--sushi, ramen, yokisoba....mmmmm!!
We were so BLESSED at our last duty station as we were only about 1.5 hours from my parents and a short flight from the in laws. We miss family and being able to hop in the car to go to the store--almost everything we like clothing wise has to be ordered online and takes a few weeks. I cannot wait to go to Target and to work!
So, how early do you guys think is too early to have a shower? I've normally seen then in the late 20-weeks at the earliest, but we're moving cross-country when I'm only 22-23 weeks, and my friends here want to throw me a shower before then. I would likely be 20-21 weeks when it's held. That seems early to me, but I would love to celebrate with my friends here. I've thought about seeing if my friends are willing to morph it into a "Shower/Going Away party," but then it would likely be unisex, and a bigger, more expensive party, so we'd likely offer to pay some of the cost. Idk. Thoughts?
@amandarene112 That would seem early if there wasn't a reason for it.. but you should definitely celebrate with your friends there! I like the idea of having one big party for the baby/going away. A friend of mine did a "Baby B Q" party that was for men/women..something like that would work.
@amandarene112 That is really early but given the circumstances I would have it then, too. Plus this way you'll have a uhaul to move the gifts in instead of trying to figure out shipping to NYC if you flew back for a later shower.

Bahaha, some version of this happens to me all the time. If he isn't pooping, he's just taking FOREVER to get ready for bed. I can't figure out what he does in there.

Omg haha this has me cracking up! My DH is always taking forever pooping too. Yesterday though I walked into the bathroom to tell him about a call I heard on his pager and caught him not pooping... if you know what I mean... ha.

I hate the word nooky! For some reason it reminds me of a cheap, meaningless hook up in a car somewhere. DH only says it when he's trying to get a rise out of me- and in those cases, he's lucky he's cute!
