@LoveDontCostAThing my nurse said she and my doctor had a long conversation about it and they decided to just go ahead with the fresh transfer because it would be too soon for me to do another hysteroscopy and they are just baffled that it came back this fast (it could just be a really thick part of my endometrium that bulging out since I have polypoid endometrium anyway). My endometrial thickness is hanging on at 19 and this polyp thing is about 12 (on top of the 19). They are hoping it goes away before the transfer...if not, transfer anyway and hope it (or they) don't stick near it.

Is anyone taking Endometrin (progesterone suppository)? The tablets are dissolving and are not retained in my vagina. I get these white pasty stuff on my panty liner. Is this ok? Sorry for the TMI!
Good luck to everyone triggering today! Will keep you all posted as we move into our next cycle! Looks like we meet with the RE next week after they review our case to determine any changes in protocol and then jumping right back into it.
Details were: 24 measurable follies 13 retrieved 11 mature 3 fertilized now awaiting day 5 update on Monday/Tuesday.
Initial thoughts from my team is that because response was so good and we collected so many mature eggs, we might just need the ICSI bump!
OMG! They are making me stim one more day! The left ovary is now responding and they are hoping to give it one more push. So my ER will be Monday. I have to go in AGAIN tomorrow for another ultrasound.
Also, one follie on the right may have got 1mm smaller but then I pointed out to them that the student did my U/S yesterday and they were like "oh yeah, he probably measured wrong." Oh boy! I had both of the clinics doctors in with me this morning. They again suggested IUI but I said no way. I'm still looking at 3-5 follies.
I think my husband may kill me, he's already over it. He may not even come to my retrieval at this point but that's a whole other issue.

@mandasand - glad the left ovary is finally starting to respond but sorry you have to stim for one more day! Maybe give your husband a few days off from the ultrasound appointments and hopefully he will join you for the retrieval! I know how hard all of this can be on a relationship- I'm sure you guys will work it out

@mtele thanks! My husband hasn't come to the last 3 ultrasounds. Granted, I've had 3 this week! He is not going to be happy about retrieval on Monday because he has class all day and he's already pissed at me for some reason I can't figure out. I may be taking an Uber with his specimen to ER!

@mandasand I know its inconvenient to stim one more day but I would be excited to have another day to let the follies grow. My H doesn't go to any of my us appts but don't you usually have to have a person with you for ER? Maybe give him a day to chill out and gently remind him that you are doing all the heavy lifting.

@mandasand my H doesn't come with me for any of the u/s either, I am usually in and out in under 20 minutes and I think he would also get cranky with me. But I am in agreement with @laurad75, you are doing heavy lifting I remind my DH of that too when he complains about doing it into a cup (a cup that he hates haha). It's literally all he has to do, other than drive me there. I think once my H saw how serious IVF is and all that went into, he complains no-more.
@mandasand. Sorry about your DH. I'm sure he'll come around. And I'm really excited that your other ovary is starting to respond. That's great news!
AFM, I will be triggering tonight for a Sunday ER! I'm super nervous because I have a lot going on. They'll probably have to do an abdominal retrieval because of fibroids. I still have no idea how many follicles there are. I had the ultrasonographer who isn't very thorough. I know she measured 11 because I was counting. But I don't know it that's total or just big ones. What really matters I guess are the next numbers- the fertilization report. I'll keep you guys updated
@mandasand - yay for the left ovary waking up! I hope that one more day of stims will give you more mature follicles/eggs! Hopefully your DH will come around and realize how much more we put into it then they do, like @laurad75 and @aera11 posted above. Good luck!
@cmiller73 - i'm so sorry that so few embryos made it this far! Hopefully you and your RE/team will figure out a new plan of action quickly. Maye icsi will be the answer!
AFM, I got my portal instructions. Triggering tonight at 9pm for a 9am Sunday retrieval. Had to quickly run to the pharmacy just now cause they also prescribed me Cabergoline...i guess they're expecting that I might get OHSS? has anyone here ever taken Cabergoline? do you know if it completely prevents ohss symptoms? I have to take one pill each night before bed starting tonight for the next 7 days.
Earlier today I went grocery shopping for dinner for tonight and also picked up lean proteins and salty foods/snacks, so hopefully this drug and protein+sodium will keep things under control! Also, walking that much around the grocery store? Ouchy. Since I got home I've been lying on the couch and have no plans of getting up. Ever.
Had my first scan since starting stims. Only 4 measurable follicles, two on each side. 16 follies seen total, which is 5 less than baseline. I'm pretty disappointed. We go back on Monday for another scan, hoping for better progress then.

Help! Just got the unexpected call that ER will now be Monday instead of Wednesday!! Did any of you guys go back to work the next day???? Idk what to do
Thanks everyone! My hubby is a funny guy but can be very serious and regimented at times (that is what 21 years in the military will do!). Since we began this cycle, he has come up with a "list of demands" that I must fulfill every time he goes to an appointment. 12 demands for every appt! So, he's got a lot of "demand credit." It's all stupid stuff, like make him coffee or bacon or treat him to a movie. Today, his demands were to make him sweet tea, call him "captain, my captain" which I'm supposed to do until after the ER, including when we go to the doctor tomorrow, and take him to breakfast tomorrow after the U/S. All this being said, he's going to the U/S tomorrow and will be there for ER. He said he will need to try and get his professor to allow him to miss his negotiations class which has zero absences. It's law school so they are pretty serious about not missing classes. Obviously this is a special exception. He asked me if I could try and get the doctor to do the ER between 12-3 on Monday - I told him to plead his case to our doctor tomorrow. While he is a real pain in the neck, I know he is always there for me, even if it means I have to make him sweet tea and bacon!
Here's my follie sizes this morning: Right: 17.8, 15.9, 15.8 Left: 11.8 (they only told me about this one but I saw a couple more in the U/S)
While it seems my follie size on the right went down from yesterday, the student did the U/S so maybe he measured wrong yesterday. They are larger than the U/S from Tuesday. So we just don't know if they are growing or got smaller, but still going strong!

Rachel_leigh22 I did, but I have a sit down desk job so it kind of worked out. I never told anyone what I was doing so day of egg retrieval I called out so when I showed up the next day not looking 100% nobody questioned it.
@Rachel_leigh22 my doctor said no way I could return to work the day after, even a desk job. My clinic will put me out totally under anesthesia so I won't be able to drive the day of or next day. I'm also having my ER on Monday and got a note to miss work Monday and Tuesday.

@lizycs I take the Endometrin and have for all three cycles. It's really gross and yes it drips and leaks out. I go through about four panty liners a day. And I keep a box of wipes in my bathroom. It's normal.
Hello, I have lots of updates to read! I wanted to post first to get everyone's opinions! Then, I'll read back Tomorrow is my 5 day transfer. I asked for an "embryo update" this morning. All 11 are still growing! Here is the break down: I have five 9-cell, one 8-cell, two 7-cell, one 6-cell, and two 4-cell. I didn't get to question the embryologist because it was a message, but she seemed happy with the results and said tomorrow I should have blastocysts to choose from. Here's my question: google says a morula is 16-32 cells, so blasts must be more than that! How will I have blasts by tomorrow!? How rapidly do they divide?? Granted this voicemail was also this morning. Thanks for any feedback!!

@Rachel_leigh22 -I went back the day after ER. Honestly, I felt pretty crappy the day of ER and took tylenol and slept. I had that weird hollow type feeling in my uterus. But the next day I took tylenol in the morning, and overall I felt much better.
@mandasand - I wouldn't even think to ask my DH to come to the ultrasound appointments because it would conflict with his work, and they are so short. I pick my battles with him lol...I'm like, "I just need you for ER and transfer." This past ER (my second one) I even let him leave to go to work after he did his thing and my mom came and waited. All of this is very hard on relationships. My DH did it in his previous marriage (I think only once.) They obviously divorced and have no kids. I can see why he is so tired of it all, but I try to remind him sometimes that I'm the one whose body is being abused! Overall, he wanted to take a break after the last two FETs. I kind of forced him to go right back. So, I am trying to be patient and also not obsess/ talk about it too much/ drive him nuts...ugh to it all!

@LoveDontCostAThing Those sound like day 3 update numbers not day 4. I could be wrong but I believe most clinics leave the embryos alone on day 4 because it's a critical day for them and they don't want to risk disturbing them so that might be why the cell numbers aren't as high as a morula. Either way GL tomorrow!!!
@HottLemonade2886 -ahhh I hope so then! Uh oh I hope they are growing well. The embryologist seemed happy, saying I would have blasts to choose from. It was this morning...maybe she gave me the day 3. Now I'm nervous!
@Angelaag-ICSI is when they inject the sperm directly into the egg with a needle-type thing instead of have the sperm fertilize the egg in the dish. We use ICSI. It is especially helpful for sperm issues. My DH has some sperm abnormalities, so we use it.

@Angelaag - AFM stands for "as for me" so if someone tags someone and and replies, it's like they're saying a "as for me, this is my update" kind of thing
@famiylgrl86@mandasand@LoveDontCostAThing thanks! I'm a cosmetologist so I'm mostly standing...I moved around a lot of clients as best I could now I'm not working the day of and don't go in until 2:00 the next day
@Rachel_leigh22 I think it depends on how many drugs they give you for ER. Mine knocks me out so he said I cannot drive the day after due to anesthesia. However, I wonder if I could drive by 4 pm because I just remembered I have a hair appointment! Haha!

@LoveDontCostAThing FX for lots of blasts! I wouldn't worry. Would have a good number even if it's day 3 so I think she's right and you will have options. Can't wait to hear how it goes!
@Rachel_leigh22 I was on the couch or in bed until transfer day. Just mainly uncomfortable & a little sore. I'd recommend taking at least a day off to let your body recover! I don't react well to anesthesia so I needed bed rest til my transfer.
Egg retrieval tomorrow! I am so uncomfortable...my right ovary feels like it need to be held up. Every time I take a step or sit down, my pelvis erupts in pain. We just got to the hotel, so I am not getting out of bed until 9am tomorrow for the 10am appt. Hopefully everyone is doing great! Will update again tomorrow

@mandasand are you doing a fresh transfer?? They said the type of anesthesia they use at my center will be similar to how you go under for wisdom teeth, so I think the next day I should be ok...but now we are expecting a huge snow storm in PA apparently Monday, FANTASTIC lol oh girl call someone to drop u off, u deserve that hair appt haha
@Rachel_leigh22 I'm planning a fresh transfer! I could probably Uber to my hair appointment and have my hubby pick me up. He has a job interview with a criminal defense firm here in San Diego later in the afternoon so he won't be able to take me but maybe pick me up! @QsMadd - good luck tomorrow! can't wait to hear how it went! have a good night relaxing and let the hotel spoil you!
@mandasand - i'm so sorry that you're still having the skin reaction and the cream isn't helping! can you try to use benadryl topical cream at all (or is that what the cream you have already, is?)
AFM, just did the trigger shot! I was freaking out and getting myself hyped up, so once DH was "in position" to give the shot, he started an argument to get me distracted and then injected it when i wasn't paying attention! the little sneaky bastard...
I used a heating pad on my butt/hip area beforehand cause i heard its good to keep the muscle loose for the shot. The area is a little sore right now, but isn't too bad...
@HottLemonade2886 -thank you! At this point I should probably not google anymore about embryo cells and just wait for tomorrow lol I actually just cleaned my house since I'll be "resting" after transfer.
@QsMadd -good luck tomorrow!!! Can't wait for updates...and soon enough you will feel better
@Rachel_leigh22 -I had anesthesia, and they didn't say I couldn't drive the next day. I almost passed out after I came to (I'm a fainter in general.) After resting at home I was fine the next day!

AFM I had my 5dt last Saturday & couldn't help myself took a pregnancy test tonight. I know it's insanely early since my beta isn't until Wednesday, but eeeeeeeeeee I've never gotten a 2nd line on a pregnancy test! It's faint (I also did it tonight & not this morning). I'm so in shock & beyond excited! I swore it was going to be negative. Had a good amount of cramping a day or 2 after transfer up until today when I felt nothing. Even my boobs felt like they deflated & didn't hurt anymore lol. I really thought I was out. It's true what they say you can't trust any symptoms you have or don't have.

@Angelaag-ICSI is when they inject the sperm directly into the egg with a needle-type thing instead of have the sperm fertilize the egg in the dish. We use ICSI. It is especially helpful for sperm issues. My DH has some sperm abnormalities, so we use it.
