Just had my anatomy scan and our little girl looks great. She's camera shy though - she kept both hands up next to her head so we had a hard time seeing her face.
My thoughts are with those of you still waiting for your scans or follow ups. I hope the time passes quickly.
Our AS was today! We're having a little boy! He was actually very well-behaved, except when the tech was trying to "show us" his sex - then he was very shy. Already a healthy dose of stranger danger, lol!
@PurplePumpernickel maybe he was nervous that you might take the AS photo and post it here entitled "Potty shot!" He must be already be versed in the bump rules.
ETA: maybe my humor is weird. I didn't mean you specifically just trying to lighten the mood around here. Disregard if this read crazily....

Finally had my anatomy scan and the fetal echo cardiogram today!!!!
Everything went well with both doctors appointments. The 1st doctor who did the anatomy scan said that everything looked really good - including the heart and that she has no concerns with anything she saw. She also said the baby is measuring 1 week ahead of what we thought. My due date has not been officially changed though.
The doctor who did the fetal echo cardiogram said that he had no concerns either and that everything from his end looked very very good.
Both of the appointments took longer than we thought it would because the baby was being silly and kept moving lol.

Tech opened saying "this isn't a 100% accurate way of knowing the sex" and then she started the scan and laughed saying "well, maybe this one is. There's no denying what that is!"
Baby is definitely playful. He was playing hide and seek with the tech through the whole appt.
Apparently I have a super short cervix (weird that it wasn't an issue in my first pregnancy?) and I'm likely going to have to go on progesterone and get my cervix stitched for the rest of this pregnancy. I'm trying not to worry too much because they said everything could be just fine but it's hard not to freak out. Going back next week to recheck and in the meantime I'm on pelvic rest.
Focusing on the positive for now- team pink and kiddo looks a-ok!
@OperaSingerMommy sorry to hear about the short cervix but wanted to let you know that my SIL had this with her 2nd pregnancy (also not an issue with her 1st) and had a stitch/cerclage put in. She was on modified bed rest in part of third tri (able to walk around but couldn't pick up her toddler) and then delivered a beautiful healthy boy at term who just turned two! Once the cerclage was taken out, she went into labor within a couple of days and it was super fast.
@OperaSingerMommy so happy they saw this now before you were symptomatic!! Hoping for a quick, easy cerclage placement and a worry-free 20 or so remaining weeks!

We had ours today too, and have a health (big, active, rambunctious) baby boy on the way! We're over the moon excited because we have cousins that we're 3-6 months behind with each kid, so they'll always have someone to play with. Also, per my SIL, it's inappropriate to share "dick-pics" so I'll spare you all . SCH 100% resolved. Measuring a week ahead so July 19th now. And it took over an hour to get all of the pictures because he moved around so much and liked to hide behind my belly button. My FFMC- I loved every minute of it, because the more he moved, the longer I got to see him!

AWESOME news!!! Congrats and welcome to team blue!
Had our A/S this morning. Everything looks great! Baby is measuring right on for due date, legs are measuring a week ahead though (must get that from DH). Have to have a fetal echo in 3 weeks only because baby was moving way too much to get all the images that they needed/wanted. MFM DR said there is absolutely nothing to worry about, the images that they got look great and the heart structure and function are fantastic, they just want more/better images than they were able to get. We are still team green but they said anatomy looks great! Was surprised to hear that I have an anterior placenta since I have been feeling movement, but I has all been on the side and not in front. Very happy LO is doing so well...20ish more weeks and I can't wait to meet him/her!
@SquirttheTurtle I was surprised to have an anterior placenta too! I've been feeling movement every once in a while. I definitely felt the movements during the A/S when the tech was showing us.
Just got done with my scan. Il get more reports tomorrow but everything looks good for now,Thank God! Baby was moving around and I couldn't feel much of that since I do have anterior placenta! The whole experience was quite overwhelming! Baby's hands and feet looked big lol! nipt was right, it's a little baby boy. Couldn't see much of his face but H says he's got my pout lol! I can't believe I have someone inside me!!! Feeling Blessed, remember me in your prayers
Posting late but we found out a couple of weeks ago it's a boy! ❤️ My DH broke down in tears when we found out, he's always wanted a son so he can name him after his Papa that passed away ❤️ I held it together until he started crying lol. He wouldn't stop moving but we managed to get some amazing U/S pictures, and we can already tell he's going to look a lot like his daddy, he has his lips and chin! We're beyond excited to meet our little baby boy in a few short months. He's been such a blessing and light for me in a really hard time right now ❤️
@manillabar Thank you for all the detailed info about your fetal echo. We had ours on Monday because my husband has a (hereditary) bicuspid aortic valve. They can't see the valve yet but they can look for all of the complications that are associated with it-- and baby's heart looks great!
We had our scan yesterday, I didn't want to make this it's own thread but after about 2 hours of the ultrasound, both the MFM and Ultrasound tech were unable to find 4 chambers in baby's heart. The MFM is concerned that there may only be 3 chambers so she is having me come back in 4 weeks to assess growth and see if things change. If not they will refer us to a pediatric Cardiologist. We did find out that baby is a boy so that was a little light at the end of our stressful tunnel. Other than his heart everything looks good and luckily my placenta seems to have no issues, it was a concern because of my placental abruption.

@cssme13 Sorry for the stressful appointment! Fingers crossed everything looks good by the next appointment and you won't have anything to worry about!
@cssme13 My heart sank reading your post I'm so sorry for the stress you are under. Not knowing is the worst. I hope your follow ups go well and your baby boy is healthy. Hugs to you!

@cssme13, I am so, so sorry you have to deal with the stress of this. That scan is both so exciting and so terrifying at the same time.
I wanted to offer some light in this for you, for what its worth, in the hope that it will help you.
My cousin is currently a healthy, happy, frighteningly intelligent eighteen-year-old who is in college for his degree in graphic design. He builds computers from scratch, speaks four languages fluently, and eats entire apple pies in one sitting. His name is Anders.
He is also currently the oldest living individual with a 3 chamber heart. He was born in Sweden and the doctors literally invented a new surgery to allow his heart to naturally and fully function without the bottom right chamber. He's had a lot of open heart surgery (8 of them, I believe, before he was 6) and he had a feeding tube for the first two years, but this year was a big year for him because he graduated from the pediatric doctor to adult care. Like I said, he's the first person to ever do so. They ran every test they could think of this year on every bodily system before graduating him, and the only thing that came back slightly off was mildly elevated liver levels, which are easily controlled. He'll never play football, but he is as healthy as any other 18 year old boy.
The surgery that they created for him has gone on to be used in countless other cases and has had almost 20 years to be tweaked and worked on.
I know this is really, really scary, but I have faith that your son will be eating entire apple pies thirteen years from now at Thanksgiving. Medical science is amazing and there's no better time for your son to be born than now, when they can do something to help him. Have faith, and know thy we are all here to support you.
